We brought our very hyper puppy to Voraussehen Kennels to receive basic training. I was nervous to leave him there, but all of my anxiety vanished when I met Mike and his wife. They are warm and kind and treat your dog like their own. Mike always got back to us and let us know how Cannoli was doing. At the end of his training, we saw a huge improvement in Cannoli and his behavior. He listens better and walks on a leash nicely. We were extremely happy with the results and with Voraussehen. My wife and I were referred to Mike when we were adopted by a puppy someone threw out where I worked. We already had 2 dogs and needed help getting them all to integrate. We also wanted some basic obedience training for the new puppy. We boarded the puppy for 3 weeks and during a move, we boarded our other 2 and they got a little remedial training and integration with their new sibling. The kennels are out in the country so to speak and the pens are all well built and keep dogs segregated and safe. There is good shelter and shade in each of the pens. Overnight boarding is available and our dogs are kenneled individually as they frequently have to spend the night. They know exactly where they are headed and believe their pen is theirs alone. Mike goes the extra mile for us, if early drop off or late pick up is needed, he is very agreeable to accommodating your needs. Mike is Awesome. He was so wonderful with our Border Collies. We went to him even though we live in Kansas it was worth the drive to Texas. He cares about all the pets that are brought in to him. When he talked to us he was reassuring us how our babies were doing. He had them for 4 weeks and we had never left them with anyone before. They are totally different dogs when we picked them up. They were obedient and happy. SherKhan was so scared and made a mess on himself a lot and Mike babied him and earned his trust and was able to get him on the right track. My dog Captain has special needs because of his allergies and gets bathed frequently and they go the extra mile to see that he gets good care. After having searched for the perfect place to take my 4 month old boxer, Cane, for obedience training I finally decided on Voraussehen Kennels. I went to their facilities to have a look around and speak with Mike the trainer and was very happy with what I saw. I dropped off Cane on 07/16/16 for a 4 week long board and training and would be allowed 1 scheduled visit per week. During our first visit on 07/23/16 Mike told us (before bringing out Cane) that he had "2 holes on his cheek and 1 on his leg" from where another dog had got him during play time. According to Mike, they had figured out what dog it was and would not be placing them together in the future. When we finally got to see Cane, there were no "holes" just 15+ scratches, bite marks, and random marks. Some looked fairly new while others were already turned into scars. My instinct was to take him immediately, but with Cane being my first dog I didn't know if this was the norm with training places and decided to not make a scene, leave, and make a few phone calls. Once my concerns were validated, I immediately returned (1 hr later) and picked up Cane. We took Cane straight to the vet hospital where we learned he had lost 3 lbs (He had been steady gaining weight in the weeks leading up to us dropping him off. Also, we took him running 3 miles a day so there's no way he lost weight because they were working him out.), he was badly dehydrated, had lost 2 teeth, he was treated for his wounds, and he given medicine for infection. -- I have NEVER cried so much in my life.-- I took him to this place to be trained and trusted them with my baby and in return I received a beat up puppy with a broken spirit. All I wanted was to get Cane healthy again and forget all about Voraussehen Kennels, but friends and family members insisted that others needed to be warned. When I went to review the Voraussehen Kennels Facebook page, I realized that I had been blocked! Mind you, after politely having picked up Cane I didn't say/send them a single thing so there was no reason to have blocked me on Facebook other than to prevent current/future customers from finding out about my experience. After I realized I had been blocked in order to prevent a negative review, it made total sense to me that they only have 5 star ratings. My brother-in-law was able to leave a review for me, to which Voraussehen Kennels responded with "Cane only had minor scabs that were obtained while being playful and in time will heal." I was not able to reply there since I am blocked, so I will reply to you, Mike, here: What you have mistaken for "scabs" is actually dirt that dried up on top of his bloody open wounds. Bloody open wounds with dried up dirt (just like on a human) become infected because YOU failed to clean him up and treat those wounds. Contrary to what you believe, that IS direct neglect. These wounds were on all 4 legs, his neck, and both sides of his face. Some of those wounds were already healing while others were a day or less old which told me (and the vet) that it was not a one time incident. Also, his dehydration do to YOUR lack of providing him with enough water is ALSO direct neglect. Mike states that "Cane learned a lot while in their care" and according to him I was "very impressed with his progress" and that is total bullshit. Cane knew how to sit, come, and stay MONTHS before I ever dropped him off and it states so in the forms I filled out. After having refused my request for a refund, Mike offers "free one-on-one lessons": A) It's NOT free seeing as how I already paid for 4 weeks worth of training. B) Would you take your baby back to a babysitter who had previously returned your child beat up all because he/she offered to babysit them for free?! NO! Especially seeing as how he only offered that AFTER having blocked me on Facebook and having received a public 1 star review. All in all, if you care about your dog I would NOT recommend Voraussehen Kennels. Cane has PERMANENT scars all over his limbs, neck, and face and unless you are okay with running the risk of the same happening to your pawed baby then I suggest finding a place where you don't have to schedule visits so they can try and clean up him/her up before you show up. I would also recommend finding a place where you can be present for the training so that you can learn as well. read more

Mike did an unbelievable job with our two German Shepards. Both were very hyper. After 4 weeks, its night and day with both. They have learned all their commands. What has impressed me the most was getting them home and putting them in place in the kitchen while i cooked. Then putting them in place in the living room as we ate and watched tv feet from them. Voraussehen Kennels did a wonderful job with my 7 month old Great Dane, Tank. He is still the Tank we know and love, but is much more calm and controlled. Upon his arrival back home, we had dinner and Tank stayed in place until we released him. I brought my 1 year old boxer, Scooby, here and while I wasn't sure about leaving him for a month, it was totally worth it! Scooby is a very energetic and affectionate dog and also very hard to control. After his time here, his obedience is so much improved! We did the 4 week board and train program for our 7 month old Vizsla Heathrow and were very happy with the progress he made! We had 3 or 4 big issues and they worked with him extensively on fixing these for us. They also gave us some good ways to continue his training and have responded immediately to any questions on concerns we've had since bringing him home. The people at Vorausshen are so nice and eased my concerns of leaving our puppy for a whole month. They are great about posting pictures and videos on a regular basis and always responded within minutes. We brought our 9 month old Great Dane to Mike and Starla because the previous trainer we took her to was a total failure. It could've been because the trainer was horrible, or because we have an extra stubborn dog. Regardless, they did a wonderful job. Words can't describe the transformation of our dog. Zena will now walk beside me without a leash when I tell her "heal," she will also stay in her "place" for as long as we want until we give her the command "okay," to release her from her designated spot in the house. I was searching for a place to take my 4.5 month Vizsla who could handle his sensitive personality but contain his energy. After speaking with Mike a couple of times, I brought Archer over for a 4 week board and train. I went visit him the 2nd weekend and I saw a great bit of progress. When I picked him up at 4 weeks, I was shocked at the progress he made. He could "place" when we got home and stay on his bed for 10 minutes at a time (we haven't tried longer). They also taught him how to refocus his energy into doing what I want him to do. He is still the same fun dog but much more obedient. He also enjoyed playing with all the other dogs. They leave video and photo updates on your dog and it is fun to look at the progress. The biggest thing I took away from them is that they are excellent dog people. We are new to Texas, and we have a German Pinscher who is experiencing fear issues. We originally thought he had fear aggression, but it turned out to be just fear. However, finding a trainer who trains fear aggression/fear isn't that easy. In California, we had taken him to a number of trainers who never worked out. Their solutions seemed to always fit one training method, and wasn't flexible. Shortly after arriving in our new home, we searched around for a trainer who would be willing to work with our fury kid, and discovered Voraussehen Kennels. After my wife spoke with Mike about our pup's issues and how he trains dogs, we felt more comfortable than we had with any previous trainers. Mike trains with positive reinforcement, and uses many different training methods. My experience with previous trainers was they mostly stuck with one training method. So, it was refreshing to hear how flexible he and his staff were with their training. It only makes sense, right? I mean, when you teach kids, they don't all learn the same way. So, we took our pup to Mike and dropped him off for one month. I think my wife and I suffered from separation anxiety, but, we will search for training for that later. Our pup turned out to be a tough nut to crack, and he didn't relax for just about a week. After a week, Mike had devised a training regime that worked best for our pup, at the speed he needed. Shortly after, our pup began settling in and letting his fear go. Not completely, but enough that Mike could begin to develop a crutch for him, so he had something to fall back on when he became fearful. Because our pup is so strong willed, we decided not to visit him until the third week. We didn't want him to slide back and have to start over. When we visited him on the third week, we could see a huge difference in him, immediately. He was calmer, and a little more confident. Our whole point in taking him to Mike was so he would be comfortable in his own skin and build some confidence, which we could definitely see. On the fourth week, we arrived at the kennels, and met with Mike and his team again. This time, we discussed how we should continue training him, and helping him continue being comfortable in his own skin. This was not about making him sit, stay, heel, etc., it was more psychological training. Could our pup do those things? Yes, but that wasn't the main point. Sorry for the long story. We are very grateful for Mike and his team, and the training they accomplished with our pup. We are seeing huge changes in him, and more every day. We would highly recommend Voraussehen Kennels to anyone who is looking for a place where his or her pup can receive professional training, and also be treated as the staffs kid. read more

After considering her options and reading reviews my sister-in-law left her boxer puppy Cain with Voraussehen, her experience was unacceptable at best, and after scheduling a visit to see Cain, she saw that he was withdrawn and after closer examination found bit marks on Cain's face and legs some that were starting to heal and others that looked infected Voraussehen made some lame excuse to her about why he was bite up (instead of calling her immediately like a reputable business would) needless to say she took Cain out of the environment and to the vet where Cain was treated for the bites as well as for dehydration Voraussehen has NOT refund my sister-in-law her money they blocked her from their Facebook page so that she couldn't leave a review (and I am sure my review will be taken down) but it will be reposted on Thumbtack with pictures of Cain as well as on any other site where a review can be left ....... Something that we probably WOULDN"T do if Voraussehen had handled the situation in a mature and responsible way. read more

We absolutely made the best decision in taking our Rhodesian ridgeback here for the 4 week training. Charlie is a great pup but was really timid and shy. Being a first time dog owner, I had no idea how to correct unwanted behaviors. After 4 weeks Charlie came back with so much more confidence and so did I. They spent time with us showing us to how to speak each command and what to do when Charlie was getting into things he shouldn't. Charlie's been home for a few weeks now and has been obedient and follows through with all of the commands. He has become a wonderful dog and is so patient with my one year old. Charlie will stay in place even when my child goes and tries to yank his leash to get him off to play. I also make him stay in place during my sons meal times and while Charlie is itching to get off to eat all of the food that ends up on the floor, he patiently waits in his place until he is given the command to get off. Our walks have been manageable as he is so much more confident and he does an excellent job heeling the entire time! We couldn't be happier with the training he received! It has made having a puppy and toddler in our house so much more enjoyable. We would recommend these guys to anyone! read more

Highly recommend! I took my 1 year old bull dog "Rosie" for 4 weeks. She came home a completely new dog. I am still in disbelief at the changes I see in her. We are so pleased! She is kennel trained, potty trained, follows our commands, leash trained, and we can actually pet her without being kicked when she rolls on her back, and came home much more fit. Definitely has made it enjoyable to have a dog in the home again. read more
