I purchased two containers of 50ct. Timberline brand superworms for my reptiles. Each container had 5 worms and 15 worms, respectively. This is the second time this has happened. I spoke with Lauren, process manager, and she was rather unapologetic in tone. She didn't seem to care. She recommended that customers check before they buy. Am I supposed to count the worms in store? She couldn't guarantee that the supplier would be contacted. Bradley Philips the store manager assured me the first time this happened: they will check the worm containers. I can understand getting 40 or even 45 but to receive only 5 or 15 is unacceptable. We have always loved this groomer until today. Chaos in the grooming area and I had an appointment for my dog who is a regular. Brittany, whom always has cut his hair, acted like she had never met him before. When checking him in for over 90 in services, i was told that because they had to so a "straight through there was a $15 uncharge. This was not disclosed when I booked and this is not something that I have ever paid in the past. My dog is also usually very happy going in and he even seemed stressed today. Floors were not being swept between dogs and the grooming room was filthy. We will be finding a new groomer. read more

Once me and my husband got to the check out to buy our two year old a little fish they stated they can't allow us to buy it with out a filter system. I made an "appointment" for 11am. I arrived a few minutes early and waited patiently to check in. Three associates there, no other dogs visible.. I asked for an approximate pick up time and was told a couple hours. I returned 4 hours later to be told that they hadn't started yet?!?! The reason was that they were "swamped"?!? Yes, there were now 7 employees all working on dogs.... But what are the "appointment" times for?!?! So apparently I took my dog there to sit in a small cage all day . Terrible selection of toys and treats. The treats were all in massive sized bags, so I hope your dog likes them, he'll be eating them for a year or, more likely, you wasted money. If you have a small dog or new puppy, you're not not find any toys for him/her here. Most toys are large, tug and fetch toys. I have better luck with their cat toys selection. We spent over three hundred on fish alone. None of them no matter which kind we got would die Whittington 24 hours. Got told they had 14 day life warranty however when I brought the dead fish back every time I got told there was no refund. The last straw was when I made a curbside order. Just finished a six weeks Petmarts training class in Conroe for my new quarantine pup, Coco. I'm terrible with people names, and I could probably tell you all the dogs names in the class, but I think our instructor was Rachel (?). My pup and I looked forward to it each Saturday at 1:00 and she made sure to address all our questions and make recommendations for even the most unusual questions (my fur baby apparently has a strange fear of heights - even 2' off the ground!) My goal was to learn how to keep Coco safe, stay focused on me and my voice and learn some basic commands. She exceeded my expectations and I'm really appreciative of my instructors expertise. She noticed a lot of behaviors that I simply didn't know. Coco is the first puppy I've had in almost 30 years and my first puppy I'm rearing alone. My others have already been adults when they were rescued. I encourage anyone with a new furry friend to sign up for one of Rachel's classes - I'm really glad I did this. read more

I walked in the store with my return item in a dark blue reusable polyester fabric bag I purchased from Amazon and my spider pet costume was inside along with its tags. I decided to go check out clothing pet items first to see what new items were in stock. I was in the last section which is right across the front desk vet clinic. There was a store associate with a shopping cart to my left in that same clothing area where I was at. I was contemplating on a TopPaw burgundy overall dress with an oatmeal colored sweater. I had my return bag on my left forearm, my car key on my left hand. I grabbed my iPhone 11 ProMax from my purse back pocket (same size). The store associate that was to my left eventually asked me if I needed anything as she was walking past behind me with her cart and I looked towards her and answered her "no thank you." "So you don't need any help ?" "No I don't need any help." I wondered why she asked me twice, perhaps she didn't hear me the first time as I had a mask on. At the register I showed an assoc my cell phone as I placed it on the conveyor belt and had the receipt scan bar in view. With an attitude the earlier assoc who was standing near the young ladies register said she wasn't going to accept my return item because I was back there and she saw me with my bag. I was so confused. My bag ? I asked. I told her I have my receipt right on my cell phone and it shows the item I bought from this store and I have the item in this bag. She said she won't accept the item and if I don't like it to take it to corporate. I told her that if my bag was an issue at the store she could've told me that and not approach me so rudely about it at the register but she didn't have anything else to say except "sorry." But no, she wasnt genuinely sorry. My first thought was that she was a an unprofessional store assoc but I was in shock when she said she was the store manager after I asked for one. I realized she was accusing me of stealing and how could she if I'm at the register trying to do a return for an item I have a receipt for. I left the store in shock, in disbelief of what just happened and I was so embarrassed at how she treated me. If she is the "store manager" why would she approach me and talk to me like that and falsely accuse me of something I didn't even do. I decided to go back to the store to do my return as I knew I was in my lawful right. The girl at the register informed me she couldn't do the return because could get into trouble, "sorry" but I could return at another location. I asked her if there was a store policy of having this type of bag and she said she didn't know. I held back my tears as I told her "what just happened to me was really wrong, we see these type of things in the media all the time especially with racial profiling and I never thought I was going to be treated this way." I asked her if there was someone else above the store manager and she said "yes but that they aren't here today" I contact you, PetSmart corporate, a professional Petsmart store manager of this location to please take action in this matter immediately because I will not let this situation go and I will pursue another action if it doesn't get rectified. This incident occurred around 5:20pm October 2, 2021. The store managers name on shift at that time was Jenny. I have provided you the details so I ask you to check all surveillance cameras which will have 100% proof and show that I never took and stole any item from this store. Perhaps she racial profiled me. This issue doesn't get thrown under the rug by simply going to another Petsmart location to do a return. Another customer would've definitely stood there and made sure the return was made and had her check the cameras on the spot and possibly had the store manager above "Jenny" Aware of the situation. Many things go unspoken of and not reported and thats why many people get away with things because no one came forward to say a word because they think no one will hear and listen and that no one will believe and nothing will be done. read more

The individuals that I encountered during my visit were very friendly. My complaints however are that upon me trying to check out for my grooming services, there was only one register open with seven individuals trying to check out. The cashier didn't seem to be in any rush to get people through the line - not saying her customer service should have suffered but she was just overwhelmingly slow when checking individuals out. One person even walked out tired of waiting. The other issue I have is that I paid nearly $80 to have my long hair cat groomed with the furminator package. It was pricey but I booked due to being told it would decrease her shedding. Literally it appears nothing was done. Clumps of hair are still coming off of her. She was not cut around her paws or bottom like I specifically asked. Overall, quality didn't match the expense. This would NOT be a service I would pay for again. read more

Banfield doesn't even deserve 1 star. They try to get as much money from you as possible even when there are cheaper ways to make your suffering and dying pet comfortable. They try to get you to run all sorts of tests and X-rays that cost hundreds of dollars when then could easily prescribe the needed medicine without all of that. Then after 3 visits for the same issue they refuse to approve the 1-800 pet meds prescription (that is 2/3rds cheaper)Tgey are worthless snd so is the "insurance". Trust me go find a small family owned local vet. Your pet will be better off and you will save a ton of money. read more

We come here to buy crickets occasionally, keeping in mind that they get their shipments Tuesday and Thursday. Every time we come here, they're out of crickets, even the day their shipments come in. When we asked an employee if they had any, she was extremely rude and dismissive. This review is just for the grooming, don't do it!!! My dog is an inside dog and doesn't really get dirty, however she does get stinky because she is an oily dog, so I take her in every few months for a thorough grooming. They take her and give me a pick up time, I explain I want her hair cut and they keep telling me that they can't cut her as short as I do every time I go to my other groomer (I recently moved, so couldn't go back...) finally, they say they will basically shave her, fine by me...although I'm a little cautious because they seem sort of rude and like they don't know what they were doing. I run some errands and hours later they call me to tell me she is done. I come in and everyone is socializing and eating pizza while puppies are tied to tables without anyone tending to them, I ask for my dog and they bring her out, the job is silly looking since they left her head and tail the same, but whatever, she was clean, right? I pay and walk out. As I'm putting stuff in my car and about to put her in my car, I notice something on her back, I get down to look and it's crap, literally crap, all over her back side, legs, and tail (she's brown, so it was hard to see). I walk back in there and got attitude, when they looked one guy and girl was apologetic (while the others smirked and ate pizza) and said they would wipe it off. The guy corrected one of the girls and said she needed to be washed again. They take her to the back and clean her up....come to find out they keep them in slated crates so that if they pee or whatever, it will drain somewhere and she went poo but had no room and it got on the wall and then smeared on her. I felt horrible that I left my dog in such awful hands, and I'm not that super picky person, but to leave my dog sitting in her own crap for HOURS, it's unacceptable. Also, the job was $5 more than they originally told me it would be AND I got her cleaned two weeks ago, and she is already due for another cleaning (without being outside or anything)...my other place I can go a month and a half before she starts smelling again. I can't express how horrible this place is...I felt so bad for the other dogs stuck there, these people seem like children that didn't know a thing about caring for a dog. read more

Being a regular customer it sucks to see a business respond like this but I will no longer be going to shop there and I hope others see this and follow. I walked into the store looking for a cone for my cat who had recent surgery. Given I walked the cat aisles multiple times and couldn't find them I approached the cashier who explained she was new but asked a nearby associate. The associate who had already seen me looking through those aisles says "you see the aisle that says cat, it's over there" as if I'm stupid and had been looking in the fish aisle... I go "are you serious " and he turns and walks away. Another 5 minutes go by until I'm able to stop the only other associate in the back and she then tells me the only cones they have are straight to the left.. IN THE DOG AISLE. Of course I'm frustrated and the line is long with only one cashier, but tell me why when I get to the front of the line, the same associate who told me where the cones were supposed to be comes from the back to open the cash register next over and the line is already short. read more

I went in this past week to get some things for my dog who is a pit bull mix. The lady at the register made a remark about how I might want to get rid of him before I have my baby. And when I asked her why she said "because he is a dangerous breed and they attack small children and other animals all the time". I purchased something prior to the Covid outbreak. During Covid I tried to return and they would not allow. I went into the store in Conroe, Tx yesterday to return and I was told I missed the window to return my items and get a full refund. I was shocked. The manager told me that was company policy and all I could get was a store credit. That is not the way to do business. Are you that desperate for money that you will not give a refund. The dog has since passed and I do not have a reason to go into Petsmart. I say the store and decided to return. I will never do business with a company that takes that stern of a stand when I have tried to stay inside to reduce my exposure to Covid. Thank you Petsmart for being a very poor example of how a business should treat their customers during this time. Guess you want people to come in sick and expose everyone to meet your timeline. People beware when you shop there. I will take my business elsewhere. There are more places to shop then understaffed and poor customer service Petsmart! I visit this Petsmart about twice a month. I own 2 dogs, 1 bearded dragon, 2 geckos, and some fish. The prices seem really high to me, no only for dog items bu reptile supplies as well. I was looking at the calcium sand and on sale a small bag was $8.99... That is too much for anyone to afford in this economy. The staff are often less than helpful. For example, ever single time I go to buy crickets there is no staff member to be found in the reptile/fish area. And during my last visit I stood about 20 ft (near the fish and crickets) staring at two staff members socializing at the register for several minutes. I made eye contact with them twice... and they failed to realize that I was waiting for assistance. Please bear in mind the staff see me twice a month buying crickets and know that I am going to purchase them. So finally I have to call out to them "can i get some help please?" in order for one of them to come help me. There are two guys that work there in particulate that look just plain dirty, with greasy hair and messy clothes. I don't want to be mean but it wouldn't hurt to bathe and wash your clothes in order to present even a mild amount of professionalism. Lastly there is another female staff member who often check me out and gives me attitude when I ask her to enter my Petsmart Card number. She often snickers "why, it's not going to help?" and I tell her that I would like to input it anyway just in case. The vet services are not horrible but very very pricey! I have brought my dogs in several times and they always recommend about $300-400 in services to find out why my dog is throwing up or has a rash. If you are intelligent and know your pet you should be able to pin point what test is most appropriate and get out of there with a bill under $200. I use them ONLY for sick visits and get all my shots done at Montgomery County Animal Shelter. For example, this week my dogs needed a boardatella shot. The Banfeild vet was going to charge $40 per dog for the visit and then $28 each for the shot! At the shelter the shot cost $15 each and was $30 even out the door. UPDATE ON THE VET (4/2012): I took my little dog there for a rash last week and would have to admit that I felt a little disrespected by the front desk staff and vet tech. They both spoke shortly to me and it was not very welcoming. When the vet tech came in she immediately stated that my dog was so behind on her shots and then shot me a judgmental mean look. I corrected her and told her that I just gave my updated shot records to the front desk staff, but she continued to be rude and acted as if I was there for no reason because she personally felt that my dog's rash was not 'bad enough' to warrant a visit. I will say that the vet herself was a breath of fresh air and was helpful and understanding with my situation. The dog food... can be fairly priced when on sale and you have a coupon. The toys are very expensive even when on clearance. I will occasionally buy a toy for the dog there but normally go to the Dollar Tree where they have toys for a dollar each. The store is clean and the manager is fair if they are out of stock or something like that. But I will say this the animals here are cared for much better then the Petco down the road, which is why i still shop here. read more

I have dealt with several people over the past month trying to get a fish tank started .. I found the employees in the fish department have all been very knowledgeable and helpful. Was especially impressed with a girl named Lucy, she was helping several people w/ different things and acknowledged us even when she was helping someone else.. She was very kind to my grandson and helped him pick out the perfect fish... If you've ever had to help a 6 yr old pick something out, you'll understand why it was this was impressive!! The girls in the grooming salon are awesome! They are super friendly back there and always have a smile on their faces! I was confused when they went over my babies, Hop is what it is called I think, but they let me know that my dog needed nail grinding also!He smelt amazing when I picked him up and was very happy! I had an appointment to bring in my two dogs after I returned from a vacation. The groomer called me six hours before the appointment and asked if I could bring in the dogs earlier. I told her that I would be hopping on a plane soon and I possibly could depending on the time it would take to get through customs ect. By the time I picked up the dogs and brought them it was only about 30 mins ahead of their scheduled time. My boyfriend and I walk in and the groomer Chelsea was so rude!!! She did not greet us. There was a customer dropping off her little Chihuahua and she took the dog over to a station and started angrily handling the dog. The poor dog was just yelping in pain. Finally, I asked if we could check in, Chelsea said with a horrible attitude that she was the only one working, and it was obvious that everyone wanted to leave early; mind you it was only 1:30PM! All of this while she was manhandling that poor dog. So obviously I wasn't going to leave my dog with this angry person who clearly hated her job so we gave her what she wanted and simply walked out. I called and spoke with a manager and the manager said that there were several groomers in the back and she was shocked that I was told this but she would happily give me 20% off my next grooming appointment! Are you kidding me?? As if I would EVER come back and leave my animals to be treated that way. Screw your 20% off! Take your pets to a groomer that actually likes animals! read more

I have been brining my dog to this PetSmart Grooming Salon for six years. I have never been dissatisfied. The ladies inside always greet my dog and I with smiles. When we walk in, they say "Hello Buddy! We are glad you're here!" My dog gets nervous when we go anywhere away from home and the ladies at PetSmart Groomers do everything they can to make him feel relaxed. For this last appointment, I decided to try booking online and I made a mistake with the date. So when I went in this morning, Mindy told me I had scheduled for Sunday. She smiled and told me not to worry about it that she would fit Buddy in today. She said it didn't matter how busy she was, she would make time for Buddy.
