Loved the donut selection at this iconic place Staff were great Super cute trendy pink decor A little overpriced in my opinion If you have kids - watch out for the "sexy shaped" donuts!! A must stop in Austin

Spacious late night donut shop on 6th Street, with lots of pink all around. We tried the Dirt and the Homer donuts. It's hard to eat a cold donut and enjoy it. Wish they could warm the donuts up slightly but alas not possible, yet. Staff were kind, served us quickly. Nice place to throw a donut party.

Voodoo Doughnut in Austin is exactly what you'd expect from a place that serves over-the-top, sugar-loaded treats right in the middle of a buzzing nightlife scene. When I visited, the area was absolutely packed with people heading to and from the bars, which made the experience a little chaotic but also kind of entertaining. It is definitely not a quiet stop, but if you can handle the crowd, the doughnuts are totally worth it. The selection is wild in the best way. From cereal-topped creations to classic glazed, everything feels a little extra and a lot of fun. The staff kept things moving quickly despite the crowd, and I walked away with a box full of sweet, overindulgent happiness. If you're downtown and in the mood for something fun and delicious, this place delivers. Just be ready for a bit of a scene.

If you are in the mood for a late night indulgent snack, Voodoo Doughnuts is the place to go. Was hitting Voodoo donuts up after a night of music on dirty 6th, and they offer more than 40 artisan flavor options, including over 10 vegan options. The doughnut shop has a New Orleans French Quarter vibe very dark and mysterious. I had to get the apple fritter fried dough with apple chunks and cinnamon and topped with glaze. It was monstrous and big enough to share. They had a variety of other flavors we tried like blueberry cake with glaze and the sprinkle cake plain cake doughnut with vanilla frosting and colorful sprinkles. Great for a late night sugar rush!

While these donuts are definitely on the more expensive side, they are so good! My friends and I decided to get a couple of them and split them amongst all us so we could try a couple of flavors. The donuts themselves are really big and perfect for sharing (or not sharing haha) I especially if you just want a little sweet treat. We got the Old Dirty Bastard and the Mango Tango. The Old Dirty Bastard is your standard chocolate and peanut butter. It's great if you want a more classic flavor. The Mango Tango was easily the favorite of the two in our group. Not only is it just different from other donut flavors that you can typically find, it is also so delicious! The mango isn't too sweet while also being so flavorful. Highly recommend that one if you are looking for some different and fruity. This store itself is huge so it's great if you want to go with a group. They have a lot of open tables and space. There's also a stage where my friends and I took some pictures. It's all very cute!

My first time visiting the Austin location, but I've been to the Portland, Oregon spot a few times. The vibe here still has that same fun and quirky energy that makes VooDoo Doughnut stand out. I tried the Pop Tart donut with the strawberry filling and it was really good. The donut was fresh and the strawberry center added the right touch. This place is really good especially if you want a sweet treat after dinner.. So many options to pick from. Great service.. Quick and easy! I will be back.

Very fun & inviting atmosphere. I was on a layover in the city and decided to stop by to taste a few donuts. I got a variety of flavors that the cashier picked out for me. They were very filling and thick donuts. They come cold of course. My favorite would have had to be the blueberry cake.

Voodoo doughnut has always caught my eye while walking across the 6th and once I wanted to venture into their business and the place was in a bad condition. It was smelling, empty and was having a lot of scattered garbage. Wouldn't recommend this place. The entire set up is great and theme is nice but I'm sure it is a very unhygienic place. The entire place was smelling and don't even wanna start with the restrooms! If you want creative doughnuts get the special ones . They were cute and funny and very voodoo! If you're smart, you can get a large doughnut for just $4.5 but they aren't special anyways. I got the Voodoo dozen, it comes with 13 special doughnuts. This was for a party and they came in all sizes and looked cute. 13 doughnuts, some cakes, some crazy, some classic. Voodoo Dozen includes: Dirt, Marshall Mathers, Portland Cream, Sprinkle Cake, Raised Glazed, The Homer, Bacon Maple Bar, Grape Ape, Blueberry Cake, Voodoo Doll, Oh Captain, My Captain, Chocolate Coconut, and Maple Blazer Blunt. I did try one of them and did not like the taste at all, they did not taste fresh and they were crumbling & dry!

Needed a sweet pick me up treat after a few drinks on 6th street and I can never turn down a donut! I've always heard of this place but don't live in an area that has one. The inside is fun, pink walls and the decor is cute. The staff might have been having an off day, cause they weren't the happiest, but we all have those days, lol. Got the powder sugar and a limited time donut, cheesecake flavor. Honestly, it was hard to pick a donut with the variety they offer!

I love voodoo donuts. Awesome location right on 6th street, and the delivery boxes are also top tier. So many unique donut options that are always deliciousss. My go to is the bacon maple bar. Donuts are also reasonably priced in the range of $2-$5. Highly recommend !!

I absolutely love Voodoo Doughnuts, but the location on Dirty Sixth is not the vibe. I want to enjoy my Bavarian Cream Donut in PEACE. I do not want to be bothered by unpleasant BO &/or lingering urine on the streets or worry about my safety. I'm just trying to eat my damn donut!! Compared to other Voodoo locations I've visited outside of Austin, this one lacks the same magic and charm, which is such a shame. The donuts on display don't look as fresh or appealing and service lacks TLC.

No matter what time of day, I just want to know why their doughnuts are always so stale. I thought it was just the 2am after 6th street partying stale donuts available, but nope even on a Sunday morning.

So many types of donuts to try! We shared three of them- our favorite was the mango tango. A must for visitors to Austin.

Very good donuts. The place needs the owners to pay for new furnishings and new pink paint.

Voodoo Doughnut Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Voodoo Doughnut

Are you open for business?

Yes! We are currently open everyday from noon to midnight.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, unless they say otherwise. If they allow the homeless to sleep at the tables then I dont see why they would turn away a Pup.

Around how much does it cost to do custom donuts and is there a minimum you have to order?

Is there parking?

Street parking only. Good luck finding a spot when it's busy.

I've heard they have a 10 dollar bucket filled with donuts! Is this only at certain times? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Buckets are usually available in the morning from 6-7 am Monday - Wednesday and sometimes on other days (depends how busy it was after midnight).… Read more
