I hardly ever go inside stores anymore since moving to California (obviously, I'm not originally from here ), but whenever I order online through their website for pickup, it is genuinely one of the easiest and BEST things ever. My orders are always ready on time, they've never messed up an order, and if something needs to be substituted, they're quick to communicate with me beforehand so there are no surprises when I arrive. I've probably ordered from here 40+ times at this point (could be more, could be less -- I honestly have no idea, but I order A LOT), and I can confidently say that the employees have ALWAYS been pleasant, helpful, and efficient. I can only remember one occasion where my order took a little longer than usual, but I could literally see ALL OF THE CARS in the parking lot, so I obviously wasn't expecting them to magically have my order ready immediately. Even then, they still kept me updated and communicated with me, which I really appreciated. Personally, I HATE going inside stores. I have very little patience for slow walkers, people who stop in the middle of an aisle, or entire families somehow managing to take up the ENTIRE aisle while completely unaware that other people are trying to get through. I have genuinely had to remind myself to breathe in situations like that. So yes, online ordering and pickup is absolutely my preferred method because it saves me from testing the limits of my patience. That being said, every employee I've encountered here has been beyond helpful, communicative, and kind. I truly appreciate the consistency and the effort they put into making pickup so easy. And just to be clear, I'm NOT saying that going inside the store is a bad experience. The few times I have gone in, the employees have been friendly, and the store itself has always been clean and well-maintained. I simply have ADHD and, personally, slow walkers and people with zero situational awareness in a crowded store will be the death of me. So I can't really speak for the customers -- because, respectfully, I have absolutely no patience for them. ‍ But the STAFF? Always great. The pickup service? Excellent. The communication? Consistent. And after ordering here this many times, I genuinely have nothing but good things to say about the people who work here, and the store itself! read more

Be careful with purchasing the soda bottles right before the entrance gate. I'm pretty sure mine was tampered with. There's no security at the entrance sometimes, so who knows if someone opens the bottles, drinks it, and puts it back. read more

The lead butcher in the meat department is Great! He cuts baby back ribs so I can make pineapple ribs and just trimmed a pork shoulder for me so it will fit in my instapot pressure cooker without the big bone. I didn't get the discount on the coupons it was my fault because I go to Albertsons and the manager said I had to use Vons app and I wanted to get adjusted or get money back and she said I had to bring the stuff back so she can do it I called and they told me I didn't anyway I went and because the Manager said I had to I had to go back home and get the stuff and when I came back I told the Manager here are the things and she looks at me and walk alway let me standing there like 5 minutes she didn't say anything she is very rude rude. I used to frequent this Vons often when I lived close by. I love how large and spacious it is . I love that they used to have a Panda Express located inside. I love that there is a Starbucks inside. That's where the love ends. WiFi is terrible so if you're trying to add coupons while you're in the store you may have to move towards the front of the store The customer service? Or lack of it I should say. I've moved so I don't come here as often which is a blessing because the cashiers here are the worst. They look miserable and are always scowling. I try to go to self checkout if possible but if you have a question please beware of the snarkiness of the tall guy working the self checkout. Today I had too many items so I had to get in the only line that was open. The cashier Miyoshi was someone who I've seen often in the past and I hate to say she was having a worst day than her normal moodiness. The lady in front of me had a toddler girl with her and Miyoshi just kept side eyeing them. The lady even said "Thank you" to her at the end without a response back. When it was my turn Miyoshi almost threw my items across. Then she was annoyed that I was taking too long to bag my groceries and pay at the same time. Sorry if I can't do both simultaneously. During my shopping trip on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, I purchased a box of saltine crackers that turned out to be open with half the crackers already eaten, a bag of sunflower seeds that was cut open and stale, and a tub of Country Crock that I've just discovered is also half-open. What is going on??? That's roughly $15 of my money wasted on items I now have to throw away. The last time something like this happened at this location, I returned the item for a replacement, but the experience was frustrating. I used to drive out of my way to this store, it's huge and has so much to offer as far as volume of items. After not going for a bit, shopping at my Ralph's and Trader Joe's, I went back to Vons and found it to be so expensive even despite inflation as I'm speaking of a comparison. You have to buy things on sale and even their sale prices are high, especially produce. Secondly, we bought a cake from the bakery and it's always been so good and this cake was awful. I literally took a bite and smashed a plate over it so my mother in law didn't see, it was not even worth the calories. I've bought many cakes here before and this was DRY, did not have a good taste and the buttercream was thick and lacked flavor. One of the worst I've ever had. While I like Vons and the customer service desk here is very helpful (most of the staff here are helpful too), I want to address something that happened today. I was waiting in line behind an elderly lady. The cashier took forever trying to scan some vegetables (something they do every single day) and then finally gave the lady her total. The lady paid using tap but was struggling to find the reader. The cashier didn't help her at all. She finally paid and requested help with her bags. The cashier called a bag man up (Asian man, late 40's?) and he started pulling the cart before she was ready. She asked him to please wait, and the cashier said the payment declined. So NOW the lady has to take EVERYTHING out again to pay. She's ready to pay, but now the CASHIER walks away to do something and takes her sweet time walking. Again, NO ONE helps the lady find where to tap her card!!! At this point, there's a line forming already. Next thing I know, I look at the bag man and HE'S STARING AT ME. HE THEN MOTIONS FOR ME TO CALM DOWN. I don't know what he was talking about, but it sounded like he was implying I was impatient. I don't know how he got that, but I'm not the one who dragged a customer's cart away before she was ready. I kept asking him what the problem was, and he wouldn't stop staring at me. He never gave a flat out answer, just kept mumbling, so that's unsettling. He then said "I'll help her" referring to the elderly lady. Like ?????? Okay why are you telling me this?? AND WHY ARE YOU STARING AT ME???? This made the setting very uncomfortable and weird. I was in no hurry today (hence, why I have time to write all this) but even if I was in a hurry, it's not the CUSTOMER'S job to stay patient, and it's not YOUR job as a BAG MAN to tell people ANYTHING. YOUR JOB IS TO CLOCK IN, QUICKLY HELP CUSTOMERS, CLOCK OUT, AND GO HOME. Quick note: I saw them later in the parking lot and he did almost nothing to help the lady with her bags. Hello yesterday I went to Vons to get some supplies to bake when I was about to enter the a worker from Vons was coming at me way to fast and I was trying to walk away he was still in my way he didn't let me pass by and I tried backing up and still tried to get closer to and when he did he was crabbing my wrist to hard and tried to take his hand of me he was trying to harass me when he tried to I pulled out my pepper spray and just left he did insulted me and was saying some nonsense about his job and about his family something that I didn't really care about cause I was minding my own business and it's not the first time that it happens it's the second and honestly I don't feel comfortable going back to Vons and I remember his name it was DANIEL he was tall skinny and African American never going back to Vons. This is definitely my favorite grocery store. I do my grocery shopping here every single sunday. I love the story because it's so big and always so clean and everything is very fresh. I decided to buy a birthday cake from here and paid almost $50 for a small quarter sheet,which was okay, but when I ordered fresh strawberries there was no cream in the Middle with the strawberries. I was told it was another $12 just for whipped cream. This cake was so disgusting. So much icing to hide the dry white cake with sliced strawberries. The cake wouldn't stay together when sliced because the middle was so dry. We ended up putting jelly on it ourselves. If I had this cake how I wanted it it would have been close to $70. read more

Oh my goodness, what is going on at this Vons? First, I walked up to take a cart and they were so gross I decided against it. I looked for baskets, but didn't see any. came to the store to redeem my weekly offer and i didn't realize you have to clip it by saturday . i asked the supervisor id possible to give it to this time since i didn't know .this manager asked another manager and ended up not giving it to me. this is not a very good customer service. i am asking very politely but i was ignored. i will not shop at vons for now i find staff are not friendly and prices are higher compared to other competitive store. hope the upper management can do something about the coupon that it's not limited to clip it by saturday only at least until tuesday read more

This Vons is one of the best stocked grocery stores in the area. They also carry a lot of items the others don't. The shopping plaza is large and there's plenty of easy parking. Walking in the door the place has a nice warm feel to it. Your energy isn't drained by lots of bright florescent lights radiating down on you. The shelves are always kept neat with all items placed towards the edge for easy access. This also gives everything that pleasant uniform look. The floor spaces are just wide enough so shopping cart drivers aren't creating traffic jams (although shopping jockeys will find a way). They did away with the self-check out lanes but that's okay because most people were too slow doing it themselves anyway. The Vons associates are helpful and available when you need them. Use your Vons card for additional savings. read more

This Von's is a good location, next to Gen Korean BBQ, Home Depot, Sam's Club, In N Out Burgers, Pick Up Stix, and a lot of retailers. The parking lot is spacious. I'll give thumbs up to the fresh meat department and butcher there for his service with a smile and graciousness with a friendly helpful attitude. Shop the sales, and you'll find good deals here. I think the ads come out weekly on Tuesday's to see what's on sale for the weekly special discounts. read more

Meat department gives terrible service. They wouldn't cut the meat on an advertised product, they just said 'sorry can't help you'. Lame!!!

Ordered groceries to be delivered at this Vons. Window was 6-8pm. Waited until 9pm for delivery....NOTHING. I call the mngr and she tells me my order MAY have been cancelled because they're busy & i need to call their 800 #. Sat on phone 30 min on hold...no answer. This was food I needed for a potluck at work the next day and still needed to cook it!!! Got up at 10pm, with a small child to go to grocery store...Vons didn't have the decency to send an email, text, nothing...just basically wait until you're tired of waiting to figure out it's not coming. I LOVED LOVED LOVED Vons.com delivery. I have used it for years and for the most part, it has been a great service. However my customer service today; specifically from this location, has made me want to never use their delivery services ever again. I was supposed to get my groceries delivered between 8 and 9 AM this morning and I have spent the entire day calling Vine's customer service and being told I'll get a callback and then an hour later calling again, then being told I'll get a call back and now they want me to place my order on vons.com again, but that means it won't be delivered until tomorrow. I'm not feeling well, but I have two kids and we have no food for dinner. So either I have to run to the store to get groceries or, they fulfill my grocery order that they promised me were going to be delivered today. They keep acting like it's MY FAULT that the groceries weren't delivered properly and like I need to figure out what happened. They don't even know if my groceries were actually delivered or if they were even pulled this morning. read more

I even asked him "is this an official policy of Vons?" and he said "yeah." I never saw or received an email from Vons that their new policy was all sales are final. I would understand if I were one of those maniacs who now want to return the toilet paper or water or something like that. I just tried to return something I purchased wrong and merely wanted to return it and change it to a right item. He said no, and I have a strong feeling that he was biased against a certain race.
