Water is the same price as Pepsi. $2.50

Another reason to stop going to Vons, they charge $2.50 for a small bottle of water, same price as Pepsi and other sodas.

I had the best experience at Vons today, thanks to the amazing barista, Sierra, at the Starbucks counter! From the moment I walked up, she greeted me with a friendly smile and was super helpful in making sure I got exactly what I wanted. She even took the time to precisely describe each of the three new Frapuccino flavors--Salted Caramel Mocha (being the sweetest), Brown Sugar (sweetest mostly on the topping with a stronger pure coffee flavor throughout the rest of the drink), and the Strawberry Matcha (sweet, but not too sweet). I thoroughly enjoyed the new Strawberry Matcha Frappuccino. It had just the right amount of Matcha Green Tea containing antioxidants and Vitamin C in the Strawberry puree with Oatmilk and the non-dairy whipped topping. The perfect blend of creamy matcha and sweet strawberry, which was mostly flavored by the strawberries as I reached the bottom of the drink--refreshing, unique, and delicious. I would buy it again! This drink was made to perfection, and it was clear that Sierra put in the extra effort to ensure quality. Plus, the atmosphere was so welcoming and calm, making it a great place to stop and relax for a bit. Highly recommend this location--definitely coming back!

I pick up donations in the back on Saturday's. For one thing, I have to pack my own bread and look for my donation when everything sould be packed and ready to go. (I don't work for Vons) why should I have to pack up or look for anything. Secondly, when I get there the back shipping and receiving is always locked. I constantly ring the bell to no avail. They expect me to walk around to the front of the store, scamble around and look for the manager to let them know I'm there, in which, I feel I shouldn't have to. Sometimes, I have been a little late (only 10 or 15 mins) because I have explained that I have a Down Syndrome daughter that I have to tend to in the morning. The manager said she don't care, very rudely. But, the other times she thought I was late was because she did not take in consideration that I was waiting at the back door for 30 to 45 mins ringing the bell for them to open the door. When the fire broke out in Pacific Palisade I was trying to explain why I was 20 mins late cuz I was up for two days volunteering at the Westwood Rec Center with the Red Cross. I looked a mess cuz I hadn't had any sleep for two days (Thursday and Friday, Jan 9th and the 10th) the manager Heather started yelling saying again" I don't care" and screaming so loud in front of other employeess very, very disrespectfully and unprofessional. Talking to me like I was a kid that hit another kid. (This is why you shouldn't hire uneducated people). When I returned the following week, one of the employees apologized for her rudeness. I said "don't do that, it's not up to you to apologize". I told them from now on that, I'm not walking around to the front anymore nor am I going to pack bread. So when I returned the following week to pick up the donations, I rang the bell and called them on my cell phone to tell them I was in the back. After waiting for an hour, the other manager tells me she's not giving me the donations because I was late. I explained that I wasn't late that, in fact, I called the front talked to Danny the meat manager that, I was in the back waiting he said that he's going to call to have the door opened. Now at this point, I've been waiting out there for an hour. I was there on time. Just messy management!!! It's sad that this huge nation wide Corporation has no donation infrastructure to make sure that people receiving donations, are treated with respect and make sure that people aren't using it for their own gain. I'm an activist, have a charitable org, a co-founders for a non-profit since 1991 and have a BA degree from UCLA class of 09 in Gender Studies/Civic Engagement, Social Justice and Community organization. I feed the homeless, deliver food to resources centers and shelters, pass out food to low income complex apartments. I have three other pick-ups; from Trader Joes and a Food Coalition and I don't have any problems with them at all. They are very understanding and professional. They communicate with me, works with the schedule and have everything ready for me when I get there for donations. Also, I'm sometimes late but they understand and know what I do, in terms of help people be productive citizens. Thirdly, when John was working in shipping and receiving everything ran smoothly. We all received meat equally but lately I hardly get meat but ever since he retired things in the back has been a mess. I don't know why that the manager can't see that and try to accommodate things so it can run smoother. Obviously she doesn't care. I agree with some of the other reviews and comments that it's like she doesn't want to work. What, she's that busy that she can't make sure the food is packed and just unlock the door. Isn't that what managers do "manage". You guys need someone back there on Saturday's! Sheeeeesh

These chocolate chip cookies are so good! The perfect snack while watching the Dodger game tonight. I'll have to pace myself...

THE WORST customer service from any grocery store in the Santa Clarita Valley…read more On Sunday, I went in and Frida was extremely rude. She had no sense of urgency when assisting customers. While I was waiting at the register for her to ring me up, the least she could have done was acknowledge me and say she'd be right with me, but instead she kept talking with her coworkers. Once she finally started ringing me up, she began grabbing the hand basket on the conveyor belt and mumbling to herself, seeming upset. I mentioned that everything I had was already rung up and that the basket wasn't mine. She then started shouting at me, saying she knew that. Then, when it came time for payment, she began shouting at me again because apparently I was "taking too long," even though the screen was prompting me to wait for the cashier. She kept yelling that she was waiting on me and telling me to "go." When I called the store to complain, the floor manager said she would pass the message along and that the store manager would reach out. Well, here we are four days later and still no call from the store manager. I have only visited this store a handful of times, and every experience has involved awful customer service. I will never shop here again. That was the last straw. If employees don't want to assist customers, then please consider adding self-checkout stations.

While I was in line, an elderly woman ahead of me was struggling to find her Amazon Prime number to receive her discount, holding up a long line in the process. The cashier, Opal, was extraordinarily patient. She didn't rush her, didn't sigh, and didn't treat her like an inconvenience. Instead, she calmly walked her through how to locate the number on her phone, ensured she received the savings she was entitled to, and graciously answered multiple questions afterward. It was genuine kindness -- not performative, not transactional -- just respectful and thoughtful service. What made it even more special was that the manager on duty, Gina, came over to bag groceries at our line. As Opal was ringing up my order, I asked Gina if she was Opal's manager. You could see a split-second look cross her face, as though she were bracing for a complaint. But I quickly told her that Opal had delivered exemplary customer service to the woman ahead of me. Gina was visibly relieved and appreciative when she realized it was praise. And Opal heard the whole exchange! It was such a sweet moment. In a world where people are quick to criticize and slow to compliment, this interaction truly stood out. Opal treated that customer with dignity and patience, and Gina clearly fosters a culture where that kind of service is encouraged. Whole Foods should be proud to have both of them.
