The first time I visited, the associate entered my information and told me there was no refill available. After I explained further, she looked deeper and discovered the prescription had been rejected due to my insurance. I returned later with my updated insurance information, but experienced a similar issue again. When I presented my new insurance, I was told it was not accepted. My concern is not only the insurance issue, but that I was not given helpful guidance or options -- such as transferring the prescription to another pharmacy. I have now spent over a week trying to obtain an important medication, and clearer communication and assistance would have made a big difference.

I don't know how they pick and choose location to add one compared to the normal. I've only been to the one in Orlando and now this location in the desert. Of course you have to have a massive parking lot to accommodate the loads of shoppers and wanderer's. Three entrances on either end of the store and garden center. There's a fast food place inside, you have the deli section and bakery. Of course the frozen section with quite some nice decent items. It's basically a grocery store on one side of the place. Even a decent isle for the international goods. There's a fairly decent section/department where the alcohol is located. So you have one side that's groceries and the other is basically everything else. Home goods, technology, clothing and so on. There's even a pretty decent size garden center that is pretty massive but it was a little sparse with what they offered. Some patio furniture, mainly soil and the usual pots and some plants. They also have a department for delivery and pickup. It's quite interesting for me...lol... Of course you have the option of self checkout or with someone. Bags are additional fee as we all know. What I didn't understand is, some of the items you would need to pay before hand if you want them. There's the beauty department where you have to leave your basket outside and pay for what you need before returning to it. And some other items in the store where you have to do the same or they can leave it at the customer service counter until you're finished. I had to do that with a measuring tape. We were still shopping and asked if it was ok. The staff seemed a bit annoyed with the request but took it to customer service anyways. Besides that concept, it a pretty good place for your one stop shop.

Fortunately, I was helped by ANEL at the Front End Customer Service desk, and I can honestly say it was some of the most exceptional customer service I've ever experienced. It took about 20 minutes to resolve the issue, and throughout the entire time her patience and professionalism never wavered. In fact, she thanked me for my patience -- when truly it was her patience that carried us through the situation without a single harsh word or hint of attitude. It's been my experience that, most often, Walgreens is a bit less expensive for the items I want, and they usually have them in stock. Such was the case at the Date Palm Drive location. The staff was courteous and helpful when I could not locate my items. The cost was 25% less than CVS had them listed for on their website. Here's a toast to wise shopping.

Worst pharmacy ever! they know all the rite aide folks are coming over here and they cant hire more…read morestaff? we were in the drive through so long an HOUR that our car died and the battery went out. The line is so bad that sheriffs watching it... THIS IS INSANE I swear to god there are days I much rather die than go on being treated like this. They dont care if you get your meds anyways.. they just give you a notice that its out of stock and basically its not their problem and yadda yadda SO what are we supposed to do just go without our medication and hope we dont die? UNBELIEVEALE!!!! I HATE WALLGREENS UPDATE:: despite the written prescription that says NO MYLAN they gave me the wrong meds and when I went to talk to them a black man name THADIUS at the counseling window, He started raising his voice at me when the manger was standing right there allowing him to talk to me like dirt and blame me..he claims that there is a sign to "check your meds before driving off. " My labels all had another medicine name I wasnt even picking up, yet they all said NO MYLAN & he gave me mylan anyways. There is no sign in the drive through and he continued to blame me and act hostile. rather than apologize for the mistake he raised his voice at me blaming me for everything.. I am writing corporate to have him fired. I only went there because I paid for delivery that stood me up 2 nights in a row. I had to go down there wait in the drive through for an hour, sick as a dog, just to be screamed at.
