The pharmacy system was down and we couldn't pick anything up. Yet, again, they were nice. They even offered to help get it elsewhere. Night pop in at the local Sunrise Way Rite Aid of Palm Springs! Hydration (Gatorade Zero) and the service fee free ATM via Capital One (directly to the right of the entrance) where all I planned for, but a nice pharmacy/drugstore/convenience item chain has fun souvenirs as well - proud owner of a new Palm Springs tee shirt, which came in handy during the night (layers can be your friend). I got helped out on the floor and had a great check out, passing the infamous Thrifty Ice Cream (nothing dairy free, even in 2023, so none for me but it's a classic) on my way back up to the front. Isles and displays were pretty neat, they have so much out for December out already, which is pretty normal... Hardly any halloween clearance, some Hanukkah and miscellaneous seasonal. Never seems too busy here, parking lot very standard corner shaped lot on the corner of Sunrise Way / Tahquitz Canyon Way. Easy in an out and plenty of spots, even a local bus stop in front, just across from the 99 cents only store. I can't speak about the pharmacy in back, but I do have some friends who are local who prefer it as they aren't overly crowded... But I do think they might close a little early on certain days due shortage of pharmacy techs, pharmacist and/or staff, but typically they do close earlier than the store itself and even earlier on Saturdays and Sundays (by 6PM rather than 9PM... as they are supposed to Monday through Friday). Rite Aid - PS, beyond the pharmacy is open as early as 8AM until 10PM everyday of the week. So swing by for your Rite Aid need, fix and/or services any day of the week. read more

We are on our way to Buckeye Arizona to have Thanksgiving with my sister and we I forgot my aspirin so we stop by rite aid to buy some and I really needed to use the restroom. The girl at the counter said the restrooms were closed and I asked why?? She keep saying because they are closed and then she started to stutter and saying they didn't work. So does that mean employees can't use it either because they don't work? I know that she was lying!!! read more

The pharmacist Dianne has a major attitude and is unable to answer basic medical questions. I repeated the instructions she was telling me to ensure I correctly understood and she snapped at me that she wasn't going to go around in circles with me any longer. What? I was just trying to make sure I heard her correctly, she was rude and has an attitude for no good reason. During another interaction with her I asked if I was able to replace an over the counter medication for the one my doctor prescribed and she said she didn't know because she didn't know what the meds were for or why the doctor prescribed them to me. When I told her why she continued to give the same response, that she didn't know if they could be replaced because she didn't know why the doctor prescribed them to me. How is she still saying she doesn't know why the doctor prescribed them to me when I'm clearly telling her why? I gave up and left. read more

"Rite" Aid = "Wrong" Attitude. I have few expectations from any drug store. And you better believe, if I'm headed into one at night, it's because I need something.... Badly. What I don't need? This review is for my visit on of 3/17/19. Came to Palm Springs to visit family for the long weekend. Unfortunately, our child had a little too much fun on the the pool - he became dehydrated and constipated. Came to Rite Aid to find a pediatric enema (which he has had before). After quite a while of searching, and unable to find any help, I finally asked the pharmacist where in the store they were. Her reply was that they do not carry them. As a nurse, I find it unbelievable that a large pharmacy would not carry pediatric enemas. I know Palm Springs has a large percentage of older folks, but there ARE children here. Get with the program, Rite Aid - you need to provide for your little patients as well. BTW, CVS Pharmacy down the road has them. Thanks, CVS. read more

I would not recommend using this pharmacy. I get how convenient it is being next door to the Eisenhower Urgent care. The lady working at the pharmacy refused to fill a prescription from the Urgent Care next door that was electronically sent over, due that I did not have my insurance card with me. She also refused to fill the prescription of the woman in front me for whatever crazy reason. How is this pharmacy even in business if all they do all day long is turn people away? I went down to the pharmacy at Albertson's down on Sunrise. The pharmacist was able to look me up in their system (I have never been there before) and filled my prescription in less than 10 minutes! read more

Came here to get some first aid stuff along with a few other things. Kind of got a weird vibe from two employees and neither was very courteous. But what stood out to me is while standing in line deciding on alcohol behind the counter, a less fortunate, possibly homeless man walked in and immediately went to the ice cream counter. He waited a short while and no one addressed him, when he appeared to turn around and I assume get someone to help him, I heard the management mention Security on the loudspeaker and then a worker approached him and said can we help you with something, he said, yes ice cream. A lady who I presumed might be a manager went on to tell him that he had to pay for the ice cream first before they would serve him. He then said, he came in the day before and they did not make him pay before he got the ice cream, but she was adamant. He told her he wasn't crazy and knows he didn't pay first but although not argumentative but not allowing her to just force the issue on him as if he was crazy, he paid in advance. Literally made my heart drop because please correct me if I'm wrong but I have never been forced to pay first for the ice cream at the Thrifty booth. I also strongly believe she profiled him and he was telling the truth. If I'm incorrect about your policy I will happily remove or change my review. Also for video reference if necessary, it was yesterday, Monday the 26th between 6:00 and 7:30. I would have given 5 stars but there's another pharmacist who comments on whether you paid or your insurance paid and if you didn't pay why are you complaining about the rx's high cost. I'm a new customer at this Pharmacy. After reading some of the reviews I'm not sure we are talking about the same place as my experiences have been very different. I find the Pharmacy staff to be informed, polite, and better than other pharmacies (plural) that I have used in the area. As for complaints, seemingly , about a homeless person, that is a problem in the area that if the person lived here they would be familiar. Order and dash isn't a myth. As well, stores have a history with certain types of people, and know some of their customers. I don't know the truth on this issue in this store, but have seen it at supermarkets, and have been told the store managers know the people who cause trouble. The business world is difficult, let's give store managers a little room for management. read more

A very poorly run pharmacy. My physician sent an electronic prescription for an item that was not covered by insurance. I was never contacted by the pharmacy that they even received the script. After 24 hrs of not hearing anything I assumed the physician's office hadn't sent the prescription. They had indeed sent it. When I called this Rite Aid to check, they did have the prescription. When I asked why I wasn't contacted to let me know it wasn't covered so as to give me the chance to say yes or no as to whether or not to fill it the answer I got was "I wasn't here yesterday". I've met the managing pharmacist here as well and there isn't an empathetic bone in her body. Rite Aids are generally pretty good, but not this one. Randolph Baron read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Asked pharmacist where sleep aid selections were kept. Sent me on wild goose chase. Finally found them. Wanted to use restroom and saw sign saying restrooms were for customers only. Was told my idiot pharmacist the key was at front register. Paid for my item and asked if I could get the key for restroom. Was gleefully informed the restrooms were closed. Then was told there may be one on Eisenhower. I asked where that was. Clerk pointed off in some direction. I asked for better directions. I was getting desperate. Finally figured out it was a medical building. Thank you rite aid clerk for your horrible directions and compassion. Will never set foot into a rite aid again. Just got back from getting ice cream with my 11 year old son that just broke his arm...I have been buying ice cream from Rite-Aid when it was called Thrifty's! Terrible experience, omg, the smallest amount of ice cream for a big PRICE!! I thought maybe they would give my poor precious son a little more for a broken arm, at least, NOT!!! I had an EMPTY CONE don't even think about it they aren't smashing anything into those cones, tiny tiny amount of ice cream on top! so darn CHEAP, I don't mind paying for a cone but wheres the ICE CREAM?????? So I have to call the STORE MANAGER JESSEEEEEE to complain or get my money back because guess what he is VERY strict about filling up the cones, yeah obviously! damn doesn't anyone do anything RIGHT anymore?? give the KID some ice cream would you! very disappointing. read more
