    Not cool at local Vons!
    Joe T.

I came by the local Vons to purchase Starbucks drink and use the restroom and came across this. It was quite disturbing to know they have not removed it or cover it up. I hope next time I come by this will be removed and would hate to not come here anymore due to this picture in the stalls.

    Lonnnnng lines into the aisles.
    Ma T.

All they have to do is open another line and get us all home without our perishables expiring while we sit here In Frustration looking at each other waiting for someone to mention how long the line is. It's crazy how everyone in line knows exactly how to be more efficient and what the store needs to do?... The store management knows as well. They have a motive for "only having one checkout line open". You think it's to force the 'self checkout'? Hmmmm?

Made with quality flour and baked fresh hourly, they are usually served hot from the oven, and I can't resist eating 1/4 of it before I get home. The fresh cut flowers and plants welcome you into this Armenian market, with tall, vibrant roses unlike those found at most florists. Big Square also offers a solid selection of produce, meats, pastres, alcohol, and other goods. Specialty items like Armenian coffee, unique condiments, and hard to find deli products are always available. For meat products, they have frozen quail, which is usually difficult to find... however, I have never been a fan of their other meat items. The one time I purchased shank and liver, it wasn't as fresh and of quality I anticipated. Parking can at times be difficult and drivers are a bit aggressive. I suggest shopping here during slow hours vs. peak times.

The level of care and customer service back then was completely different. Recently, I had a very disappointing experience with the current manager, Lilit. I returned chicken that was clearly uncooked--not for a refund, but simply to make them aware so it wouldn't happen again. Instead of handling it professionally, she became defensive, raised her voice, and insisted the chicken was cooked, essentially accusing me of lying. As a long-time loyal customer, that was very upsetting. I was respectful, but the way I was treated was rude and dismissive. This is not the kind of service Golden Market used to be known for. Because of this experience, I highly discourage anyone from going there. I will not be returning, and I will not recommend it to my family or friends. I truly hope management takes this seriously and brings back the level of respect and customer care that Soorik and Ofelia once provided. Btw I Think she needs to know that she is just a manager at local grocery store and she is super uneducated and low class.

They bring a vibrant mix of Armenian, Iranian, and Mediterranean flavors under one roof. Every time I visit, it feels like a little taste of home especially the candy section. It instantly reminds me of my grandma's treats, just nostalgic and delightful! Their meat section is also a standout; the mortadella cold cut and sausages are exceptional so professional and rich in flavor, it's a must-try. Beyond that, they have a wonderful array of Persian snacks, cookies, and a wide selection of fresh produce. I'm always so happy shopping here; it's clean, well-stocked, and the staff are super friendly. There are always plenty of employees, so it never feels chaotic. The only small downside is that some of the refrigerated foods are a little pricey, but considering the quality, it's a fair trade-off. Plus, you can order hot foods to go! they grill up delicious meats right on site. Parking is at the back, which is super convenient, even if the front lot is a bit tight. Overall, this is a gem in Glendale, and I highly recommend it!

The kind of spot where everything looks a little unpolished, but that's exactly why it works. The marinated meats are the standout trays packed with seasoned cuts that look ready to go straight onto a grill. Same with the prepared fish, which looked fresh and heavily herbed. It's very much a "trust the process" situation here. Inside, you've got shelves of imported cheeses, spreads, and pantry items, plus a surprisingly solid produce section. There is also a deli counter with prepared foods featuring both cold and hot foods. The quality is similar to that of a restaurant, albeit a bit more oily. They also grill meats onsite, making it very convenient for takeout meals and for picnics. The quality of the produce is quite good, too. Staff is friendly and helpful. The parking lot is small but serviceable because customers don't tend to remain in the store for long, so turnover is fairly regular.

This particular Trader Joes is in the heart of Glendale. It is shared with Coffee Bean, and Walgreens. I only go to this particular TJ whenever I have a dentist appointment. Well, on 5/28/26 at 4pm I walked in to this TJ to buy few items to take with me on my mini trip. They were: one gallon of water, 4 bananas, ready made/cut watermelon, 2 Sparkling waters (Tangerine flavor), and large bottles of Pellegrino. I didn't notice that the date on the cut watermelon was expired. When I got to my hotel and wanted something sweet and cold, I opened the container and it was all smelly, not crisp, and watery. Parking was very crowded and had to circulate like 4 times until I found a space. Laura checked me out and she was quick and fast. Even exchanged 2 sentences with me. Store was nice and clean, and everybody was very helpful. Love Trader Joes very much. Please check your refrigerated items along with the expiration dates. After taking like 6 bites of the cut watermelon, as much as I HATE to waste food, I had to throw the rest away. That's not going to stop me from shopping at any one of their locations..

I ended up paying $3 for a grapefruit. Ouch! Renaud's Bakery is on site, and you can get freshly baked Wolfgang Puck Pizzas. There is also a deli counter, butcher, & fresh seafood too. The lady at the register was genuinely nice. *Private parking lot.
