Extremely disappointed in the Granada Hills Vons delivery service. There is no communication or accountability, no follow-up. Gave clear instructions to enter through open metal gate and leave groceries at the front door. Scheduled delivery was from 8-12 and I was to be present. I called at 12:45 since their has been no delivery and customer service couldn't do anything to take care of the problem, they didn't know if it was delivered or not and that the supervisor or manager couldn't contact me for at least 24 hours. She said she would send me a text to see what happened, NOTHING, NO CALL, NO TEXT and No groceries. I called the following morning because my order was listed as "past" and I couldn't cancel. Later, went out through the front door and then through the metal gate to my driveway and found the bag of groceries with the frozen food now warm, the butter soft and mushy and I am glad they were out of milk and various items for they had been apparently left at the neighbors front door all day and the neighbor brought and left the bags in my driveway that night and they were out all night also, where they could have spent another day if I didn't go out. NO CALLS, NO FOLLOW-UP, NO COMMUNICATION SO FAR. read more

Perfect solution for grocery shopping in the city! Easy on-line ordering. Lots of free and discounted offers. Delivery is on time and simple. Drivers are friendly and courteous. Only problem we have encountered is if something is not on the shelves when they pick your order, you don't get it unless you have opted for a substitute (but then there is no guarantee what you may get or how much it will cost you.) read more

I'm unsatisfied with the grocery delivery service Vons offers. I ordered my groceries before 1pm and I was given a delivery time frame 9pm-10pm same day. At 9:09pm I get a call from the delivery man saying there was a computer issue and they don't delivered after 10pm. I asked the delivery man why I didn't get a call earlier and his response was he didn't know. I said to him the computer issue was not my problem. I was given a delivery time and I expected my groceries to be delivered at that time. His response was "it's not my problem". I got more aggravated. My groceries list was incomplete when they delivered. They claimed "items were out of stock". As a consumer we have options and Vons will not be my 1st choice in the future. read more

Great store in terms of choices, but customer service is awful. They should hold less bias on people and accept the fact that it is located in a diverse community. Cashier Louise only greets and thanks certain people. read more

meat dept ...why have one if i can never get help?i stopped going there 2 years ago because of poor service at meat dept. thought i would try today because they are closer to my house stood there with 2 other customers,i was there for 10 min before them 1 lady was banging on counter you could hear guys in meat dept but they would not come out to help customers....same bad service. been driving to store on sepulveda..always very helpful read more

When an employee knows a customer as been inconvenienced by a company's employee it would be nice to hear an apology (even if it wasn't that employee specifically). They are representatives of the company. It just leaves a bad impression of them, personally, and of the company. :-( I'm a long time customer and have had issues in the past, but this one was just sad! :-( read more

If I could give this place 0 I would. Today I experienced one of the employees on the register being very rude and somewhat racist towards another customer. read more

This is a very nice clean store. It has a very large parking lot it shares with other stores including big five, Ross, and Wells Fargo. The produce is fairly fresh. It has a butcher, florist, Panda Express and a Starbucks. Seating out side for the panda and Starbucks. I find them a little pricy and the employees to be slow. This is most likely due to the fact they are a unionized origination. Meat is a little pricy. I use then quite a bit because of convenience. I wish they would add some self service registers as they are a lot faster then sub standard employees. read more

Vons - Grocery Near Me - Granada Hills, California

i am a weekly customer - i am there every Friday night and some Saturdays - i just want to say that the store managers should really either take away cashiers cells or have them in their lockers - i was there this past Saturday around 12:45pm - the young girl who was my cashier was playing on her phone - totally inappropriate. there is another lady - mid 40's maybe older - NEVER says hi - NEVER. i wont stand in her line. other than that - more cashiers needed - there is ALWAYS a long line and i wait just for one item. read more

I've been here more than a handful of times where it's crowded and they don't have enough checkers. And it's annoying af. I'm officially over this Von's. read more

The only reason I came here was because I was at Trader Joe's across the street and they didn't have any fresh thyme and watercress. So I'm in the produce aisle and it seemed like thyme was out of stock and watercress was nowhere to be found. I finally found someone who could help me but she said that this wasn't her department. She then leaves to find someone else to help me and brings the meat guy, who doesn't know anything either. Finally, after about 5-10 min, we find the produce guy and he tells me that they're out of thyme but finds me watercress. I'm irritated as hell so I don't even say "thank you" to the guy and walk away to buy some other stuff. The produce guy then hunts me down and gives me a plant version of thyme and tells me that it's the same thing. I'm thinking to myself, "How nice of him to go out of his way to help me." I come home and I see that the plant thyme is not actually thyme but rosemary. Are you kidding me? read more

Came in 5:30 super crowded as always at this time. My line has a unhappy checker Louise. She is finally nice to a lady then I realize it was her friend. Talks to her while line is backed up gets her phone number writes it down..as we all wait. Continues to talk and not check out the next person smiling and saying oh ill text you. Finally helps the next person no smile looks like she hates her job and all of the customers. I finally get up to the front. I try to be nice since she looks like she is hating life. She doesn't reply or smile. Wow so rude. Guess I should of not tried to be nice though isn't it her job to make me feel welcome not me trying to make her happy? What poor service. Should hire nice people to work with the public. She also looked like she just woke up hair pulled in a bad mess no make up plus the sour look. read more

We just had the worst customer service with Von's. I ordered online as I have been doing for years and received a confirmation #. The order was to be delivered between 10:00 - 11:00am this morning. I received a call from my bank asking if this was a valid purchase and I approved. The bank thought it was fraud. I just now received a message from Jenny at Vons stating that if I don't call back in 15 minutes I would not be getting my delivery. That was from 8:22am... a call I never received. They never tried calling me back. When I called them back Jenny's response was "to late the truck already left". I asked for a manager and she wouldn't get one on the phone. I called back after she hung up on me and spoke with a manager by the name of Joe who refused to help me either. I told him I was a parent of a 3 and 5 year old... why don't they call a second time before the truck leaves the store to try to reach their customer and he said they are too busy! I asked what they would do to try to make it right and he said "nothing!" I spend close to $300.00 every time I order from them. I refuse to ever shop with Von's again!!! read more

I am severely disabled and can not shop for myself anymore. So, I decided to try the online ordering. Seemed fine, I set it up and order receiving my confirmation for the next day. Great! Then, after my delivery time I received a call saying my card did not go through and all of the drivers have left for the day. My card had already been authorized the day prior and no other usage. So now I have no groceries and credit cards that work perfectly. The lady was rude and said I would have to call the customer service number and perhaps get my groceries tomorrow. So I called customer service after confirming there was nothing wrong with my card. I had thoroughly explained my situation to the lady at Vons but she kept saying it was my fault the card did not go through when she ran it. I am extremely angry and called the store several more time attempting to get the manager but was always put on hold for a never-ending amount of time. After several calls I will need to find another method to express my disapproval for my treatment and their extremely poor customer service. So what now...do I try to order again???? What will happen this time? Why is quality of service no longer important in this country? read more

Not sure what all the low ratings are about. I love this market. It is hands-down better than Ralphs at Balboa/Devonshire. It's cleaner, more spacious, and has a great selection of most things. Also, their produce doesn't look as genetically modified or otherwise artificially inflated as the stuff at Albertsons. Yes, they are a tad pricey, but so is food in general. There is one service clerk I can think of who is a total (insert vulgar word), but all of the others have been so friendly that it makes up for her failures. read more

Wide selection, usually enough checkers, great prepared food items. Try the corn salsa and the tomato soup. They are delicious.

This is one of the cleanest markets ever. Staff very helpful. excellent produce great prices easy access and well lit at night.

I usually like this vons cashiers are very nice clerks great. but today I wanted to buy my gf flowers and a flower boy was rude beating on my gf flowers kinda I don't know why they looked healthy at first but when he flower slammed them on the counter they just fell apart maybe they needed more fertalizer to man them up but they look awful paid full price have a nice night wait wrong have a nice day well I don't know if either fudging fit the discription buying flowers should have been picking weeds instead I worked as a mover till yesterday when I had to go to the hospital for neck pain well I'm more carefull with peoples furniture then he was with my gf's flowers what a have a good night what a jerk not clerk. read more

The longest lines and wait times I've ever experienced. I've been to this location 3 times and each time was a 10 minute wait in line, it wasn't even crowded . I will never come back here, but it is very clean, so that's what the 3 stars are for. read more

This vons has officially lost my business and I'm telling all my friends and family to not shop here as well. never in my life have I experienced such poor customer service, not on just one, but two occasions. The first time, I wrote about it to vons directly and they were very quick in their response. It seemed the the customer service problem would be corrected but this past Sunday again I had an issue, and this time was the last. I don't spend over $500 a month at this store to be treated so poorly and embarrassed in front of other customers. I guess I'll be giving ralphs a try. read more

Great store with amazing employees all around from the managers to the bank to the pharmacy. The staff at this store truly are very friendly and caring. I absolutely love shopping here and they really do have everything that you need! Great Job Everyone!! read more

This Vons has spoiled me for just about any other grocery store. The staff is so friendly (most of 'em, anyway) and always ready to help. Very clean and welcoming, and they usually have just about everything I go in looking for. The specials, especially in the meat department, make for good prices, and their produce selection is pretty solid as well. My one complaint (the only reason they're not getting five stars) is their butcher counter - it's seldom attended, even at busy times of day, and their help is grudging at best. Otherwise, this store rocks. read more

I have been shopping at Vons since 1975 when I moved to Granada Hills. If Ralphs wasn't so far for me to drive I would be shopping there. However I do go to the pharmacy in Vons, its cheaper there for my dedications. The other day, I was in line at Vons and there was a sub checker, she made it a point to everyone that she was only a sub, every bag she bagged, was so heavy, and when I got home, every bag fell apart, it was apparent she did not care what she was doing. I will stand in line for 10 min at a checker who I know cares. Also, Ralphs always has all lanes open no matter who many people are there, Vons doesnt, the lines will be backed up across where everyone is trying to walk. Oh the other day when I was there I saw they now have a security guard, great, its about time. read more

I went last night at 11PM to this market unfortunately was a poor choice, the line to pay was so long ( because of the time) it was the cashier, the helper and the night shift manager all in only one lane! three people helping one customer and it took for all of them about 10 minutes to help the customer and collect the money, I ask the manager to open another register because the people waiting were more than 5; she did not pay attention, when I said it again, her response was I do not have anyone to open another register??? so to help one customer in this market it needs 3 employees WHAT KIND OF TRAINING THESE MARKET HAS? I do not want to see the line of people to pay during day time. TERRIBLE SERVICE, ...NEVER AGAIN! read more

I love this store. The men at the meat counter are always great to me. Cole even has my chicken ready before I ask for it. Love the cashiers. Great store! read more

This is a great Von's. The staff are the best. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for their Starbucks. It seems like everything is going down hill since Kelsey and Codi left. Just today I overheard the manager of the Starbucks yelling at a man about refills on drinks. I was embarrassed for him. It was a sad sight. (no customer relation skills) Also as of late, they always seem to run out of EVERYTHING I want to order when I want to order it. It has become so impersonal. It's like dealing with robots who are too inept to handle the workload. If I can rate this Starbucks then I would have to say FAIL !! Coffee bean is beginning to look more and more appealing. read more

The only reason I came here is because its much closer to me but last night when I went to just to get some late night diapers for my 6month old baby I was denied of access because they are closing early at 10pm for the cleanup and constructions which really sucks because I ask the guy thats in the front of the door nicely can I just please come in just to get a diaper for emergency for my son because Target is the next street and they're already closed. Vons normally closes at midnight and I just recently moved back in the neighborhood so I was not getting anywhere with the guy in the front so did not bother to argue with him because I'm getting tired and not worth my time just to argue with the guy so I went and drove down to Ralphs which is more easy access grab what I needed in 5mins I was out of the store. So never again VONS in San Fernando Mission blvd. The lines are always longer and they only have one RED box available so when your in line trying to beat the 9pm deadline before you can get charge for an extra day, you better prepare yourself for paying an extra day anyways because theres a line for that also. GOOD LUCK! VONS I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! read more
