I have come to this Food 4 less several times as it's close by and in a convenient location to me. Parking is plentiful but there's a little bit of concern by some of the people who hang out in the parking lot, sometimes I've seen some possibly shady behavior on the side of the building. Inside the store is very clean and the shelves always stocked with everything I need. I feel like the customers here are friendlier than at other stores, people don't seem rushed and they actually smile and move their carts if they think they're blocking you from something in the aisle. I do feel though that frequently the lines are long and it's a little limited on how many they have checking people out. Allot of the cocktail cabinets are locked now, so when you want to purchase something for a cocktail you have to push a button and wait for one of the limited employees to be able to come to help. However other things like Beer are not locked. I don't remember seeing anything else locked in this store. Food 4 less shares the lot with some restaurants on the other side and a gas station, be careful when leaving the lot as the traffic on parthenia is always zooming by and it's sometimes hard to get out of the lot. read more

Food4Less is one of those stores I always forget about but when I come in I always think 'why am I not coming here more often?' there are so many great deals on every day items that it's a great place to come to get essentials. I will say their produce is lacking (in my opinion) but for packaged goods and basic meats, it really is a great option. Don't sleep on it. The interior is really a no thrills kind of place. You're not really coming here for the decor though. I also find the checkout process an area that could be improved upon. Often times it gets backed up with the checkout people just wanting to get you through there without any concern for the previous customer who, more often than not, is still trying to get their items bagged up. But once again, you're coming here for good prices. You need to understand that there are going to be 'sacrifices' in other areas. read more

I I went to fill up my tank for only $5 just enough for me to get to Costco. I noticed my gas gauge did not even move, so I went to the next pump and put another $5, it did the same! My gas gauge stayed the same. (I have 2024 Toyota Rav4) I didnt have time to go inside the store to complain as I was in a hurry. So I went to Chevron and filled up $10, my gas gauge went up. This is the 2nd time I have been here and I don't remember it to be this huge. It is like going to Costco. They have their own gas station and plenty of parking spots. One stop services like ATM, RedBox, and Copy Keys are being offered too. Aisles are wide, free of clutter which makes the navigation not difficult, shelves are well stocked, signage are visible, and the store is well lit making the surroundings conducive for shoppers. It helps a lot to see what they have in store for you. This is an upgrade to other locations that I have been to. Cashiers are smiling and asks about your shopping experience. Plenty of good deals in big numbers luring the customers to check it out. They sell fresh meat and in bulk. A good way to save. Prices are better than other grocery chains. read more

I was unnecessarily harassed and followed around my local store-where I've shopped for over a decade by a rude security guard at the Parthenia and Woodley store in North Hills between 2:30-3pm-ish on 4|22|25! The security guard was at the entrance when I walked in. He left his position and walked behind me into the store. I turned left to the beverage aisle for aloe vera juice, he turned right. I got a 24 pak $1.89 bag of Bollis-Mexican liquid lollipops, took ONE out of & put the rest inside my shopping cart in plainview. My cart was behind me as I rummaged in lthe freezer. When I turned to grab my cart, he was standing in my way, pointing into my cart and saying THAT! THAT! I said what? He said no eating in the store. I said I'm sorry, is this a new rule? I really didn't know and explained I had to do it to hydrate due to my BP meds and said ok, I won't do it again, that I did it often but was never told it was a problem, because I always paid for it. He blurted out loudly "YOU'RE INTOXICATED! Just go, don't come back! I was stunned! Why did he shout? I'm what? I felt he had neither a probable cause to conclude I'd shoplifted when the merchandise was neither concealed, nor did I fail to pay for it. Videos will show that I wasn't weaving or being disruptive. I tried to push my cart away, but he held on to it with one hand and dismissively shoo'd me away and said go, just go don't come back. Leave -now! I'm confident store surveillance will show that I hadn't done anything to warrant my removal without charge or proof of wrongdoing. I pulled back my cart and went to the manager. The manager was as dismissive after reiterating what I told the guard -he said there's no eating in the store. Fine, I still didn't see why he followed me -he could have observed me on the cameras on every aisle, plus my intent to pay was evident because I put the rest in the middle of the cart -not in my purse, I didn't secretly drink it. It was between my teeth and dangled off the side of my mouth. I knew I absolutely had the $1.89 to pay for it. The manager said "ok, ok, he won't follow you ANYMORE" - suggesting he KNEW I was being followed as if he was doing me a favour. I pointed at the spectators [all white] & asked why didn't he follow him, or her, or someone else? He seemed firmly on the guard's side, unbothered by his rudeness to me. I was stunned by the level of trolling over nothing. I'd never treat my customer like that. I said I've been coming here for over 10 years- ask anyone else if they've ever had a problem with me. I felt diminished to be followed from the moment I walked into the store, without a previous history of doing something to warrant such attention. I told the manager I thought that was RACIAL PROFILING He said it wasn't told me to go and finish shopping. The guard's tone was rude and taunting, rolling his eyes and shaking his head. Spectators who heard him say I was intoxicated gathered for a closer view, sniggering and laughing. As I was paying for my groceries, I heard a commotion...it was the guard shouting STOP! STOP! & struggling to wrest a backpack bulging with STOLEN MERCHANDISE from a WHITE GUY, who yanked it back and ran. He chased the THIEF into the parking lot then returned alone. THE THIEF GOT AWAY! SUMMARY: Whilst busy humiliating, accusing [of *theft & intoxication] & trying to kick BLACK WOMAN out of the store over ONE lollipop for which she paid, a WHITE GUY was robbing the store blind and made off with the loot! I've been coming here on and off for a few years, recently bought a 3 pack of sliced steak from here, once I opened was totally discolored on the back and other pieces of steak. I called to try and ask if I could return without a receipt, the sell by date hasn't passed, and I explained I just bought it a couple days ago. First of all they answer "hello" when u call, no introduction. So I talked to some young kid, he put me on hold, some other woman answered, knew nothing of the situation, got out back on hold again. I generally like the Food 4 Less markets. To me, they're 2nd best, only because Costco is the best :) I like how they, like Costco, sell some items in bulk, but don't require you to have a membership to shop with them. They also have a gas station, like Costco, which sells gas for at least $0.50 or more cheaper then other stations. read more

I was overcharged at the gas station. The pump was malfunctioning and overcharged me (my tank does not hold 19 gallons of gas!). I called the manager and they admitted the pump was broken and roped it off. The manager said it never should have been turned on. He asked me to call the Store Manger to arrange for a refund of the overcharging. The store manager offered me $25 gift card for my trouble. I was overcharged about $40 since my gas tank was 1/2 full at the time. I didnt want to accept the $25 on principle. They asked me to come into the store and speak with the Main store manager. I did and wish I hadn't. She was so rude and treated me like I was a criminal from the moment I walked in. She refused to refund me the money due (I had receipts and pictures of the pump) and when I asked for the corporate office number she became even more rude. This has never happened to me before in a grocery store and I dont understand how Kroger allows this kind of treatment from their supervising employees. I will never go in there again. I have been a Ralphs customer forever and now do not want to give them even one red cent in the future. Their corporate office took my statement and never followed up. What a JOKE!!!!!! read more

This store is ok for already packaged food, not for fresh produce! Every time I go, their selection for produce is the worst. Their veggies and fruits are always bruised, wrinkled, or discolored. I happened to buy the peruano beans in bulk, when cooking them the water turned yellow and brown bubbles started forming. I will have to go to different stores for produce now, this has crossed the line. I only go now for non-produce items. I come here twice a month. Good prices for the food, an assortment of items, clean, the lines are not too long, and there's usually enough parking. The only negative I have is when you are bagging your groceries they keep pressing the conveyer belt button and it smashes my groceries everytime. I generally purchase plastic bags but this time all they had was paper which causes issues for me because I buy alot of food and literally have to Carry my food for a long walk. This store is so close to my house, open till midnight and has almost everything that Ralph's has so I don't really need to drive any further, they even have a gas station very convenient. I am in this store more than probably 4 times a week, everything is always nice and fresh. Produce is great, meat section excellent, always nice cuts and fresh. Employees are very helpful and friendly. Everything is stacked and if you need something they go extra mile to check and make sure if they have it you will get it. Prices are always great and the more you shop the more you safe for 10c off on gas. Glad the store is in my neighborhood and I am benefiting ha ha read more
