Five stars all around for this recently opened Trader Joe's. Not only because it's convenient, but they have plenty of parking and it is less hassle. I like this location because it is modern of course because it is new, but it is pretty big and spacious and the Customer Service is amazing. I encountered many employees that were very nice and literally walked over to the aisles with me to show me what I was looking for. You can never go wrong with Trader Joe's prices and healthy options that they do have. This is now my new favorite Trader Joe's to go to, I am so happy that this open in Northridge. Everything was fully stocked and easy to find. However, the only thing that was bad was that the restroom was very dirty, but I did tell one of the employees about that situation and they said they were gonna handle it. Typical Trader Joe's. It's pretty but also a bit smaller than most Trader Joe's, but it feels modern since it's newer. This location used to be China Buffet, one of my favorites growing up and got me through my days at CSUN. I have a fond attachment to this location because of it, and I will surely miss it. At least something great took its place; however, I don't know if I can ever get past seeing my old favorite buffet as a Trader Joe's. I am heartbroken but glad CSUN has a Trader Joe's now. read more

This has been my go to traders joes ever since they opened. The whole parking situation was amazing as it was pretty big compared to others. Well, it's seems to have gone downhill lately. The past few times I've been, parking has alway been a mess. People are literally driving up and down trying to find a spot. For a lot that size, there's barely anyone in the store shopping. The parking is completely full. I popped in just around noon and of course cars are driving up and down or waiting for someone to leave their spot. It's clearly being taken by the CSUN students which makes it harder for the shoppers. I've been told that lately it's starting to get bad with them taking spot and leaving for school. You're going to get people doing that but it makes it worse for the shoppers who's there just for that, to shop. I don't know but they may need to get someone to monitor the parking lot during the day time. The whole point of making my change to this location, the parking was great. Well now it seems to be going downhill. Even the employees have said the spots are being utilized by the students. It just makes it bad when you know the parking situation will be a bitch which then turns you away. Hopefully they'll get something together. It's also probably going to be a mess with the Chili's parking as people are taking anything available. read more

This is easily one of my favorite Trader Joe's locations. Compared to others, it's noticeably less crowded and features a massive, plentiful parking lot that makes the trip stress-free. Inside, the product selection is incredible--everything from fresh flowers and seasonal fruits/veggies to cold cuts, wine, baked goods, and fantastic vegan and gluten-free options. I stopped by to grab ingredients for my famous spaghetti Bolognese, along with some good cheeses, cotton candy grapes, oat milk creamer, cottage cheese, and my daily Greek yogurt. What really sets this TJ's apart, though, is the staff. They clearly go out of their way to hire friendly, personable people because the cashiers are always extra kind and happy. Pro-tips: Grab their limited-time seasonal Thai Style Yellow Curry chips and BBQ chips before they sell out, and don't sleep on the Peanut Butter JoJo's--they are an absolute guilty pleasure! This is one of the newest Trader Joe's in the valley and it was only recently that I had the opportunity to visit. Right from the get go, you can observe that it is a large place. A dedicated parking lot, a large outside structure, gives way to a very spacious inside layout. Easily, the most roomy branch I have been to. The inside is spaced out, the aisles are wide and you don't get into a traffic jam navigating through the store, like you do at other locations. No gridlock of people or carts. A huge long overdue, welcome positive. You get everything Trader Joe's is well known for, but with a difference of a well organized and designed establishment. This will definitely be my favorite Trader Joe's and I will going here going forward. read more

Located on Reseda Bl, next to Chili's. A new location of Trader Joe's in Northridge. Great service, friendly and easy going staff. Helpful when looking for a specific item. I came here specifically for Advent Calendars, which before we would purchase for the nieces and nephews but now the older kids (grandma and her brother) also want one. Even though the place can get busy at times, it somewhat quiet but able to hear the music in the background. Overall, a convenient location to visit for a quick bite next door as well as do your shopping to kill some time while waiting for a friends get together. read more

Man it was busy here lol. I shouldn't be surprised though. Unlike other trader Joes parking this one at least has more space. Still packed and you have to wait to find a spot but at least it doesn't feel as confined. Trader Joes is just terrible in general with parking lot space. Lot of good stuff here but I'm not a fan of their ube offerings. They also had the "Filipino style" adobo. Nah lol. We did get the Chocolate chip dunkers. Those are so good! And are awesome for dunking. The cashier was very nice and I appreciate how they really try to get people through the check out process quickly and efficient. read more

It's crazy how times have changed! This used to be the home of China Olive, a beloved buffet my family always celebrated at, no matter the occasion. I used to come here all the time growing up and then it changed into another buffet that didn't last long due to COVID. Very nice to see it as now a Trader Joe's! And with great parking? That's a plus!! No hassle parking and easy to get in and out of from Reseda. Upon walking in, you immediately notice how spacious this location is!! The fact that it's not cramped and has so much open space to roam around is beautiful. Has the usual stuff like any other location, we were surprised to find the delicious garlic butter chips so we grabbed a bunch before they sold out again. The staff are friendly as any other location which I love. It's been our go to location mainly for the sake of easier parking! Finally, Trader Joe's in Northridge area... I love the ambience here, I went at night and the store is very bright with all their white lights. Just like any other Trader Joe's It's so neat and well organized. Staffs here are nice and helpful and offer the same varieties as the other Trader Joe's. The oarking though can be a little hard especially at night. I came in again one day but in the morning and I didn't know this location opens at 9am (I usually go to Chatsworth which opens at 8am). Some shoppers also came and even started getting the basket outside the shop and put some stuff in the basket (the items that they have in the store front lauch as pumpkins, flowers etc.) I think she was about to pay and tried going in but the lady working in the store told her they are still closed. 2 shoppers did left the store, I guess they are in a hurry and unable to wait? read more

Of course 5 stars here, value, quality, variety, people, all five stars. This is a new location for Trader Joe's, finally open! I think they have been open only a couple weeks. (As of August 2025) This is right on Reseda Blvd, near Nordhoff, parking is in the back and the lot is pretty large. Sometimes parking can be a challenge at some other Trader Joe's locations, but glad they planned for this new location. Inside they have pay homage to the Northridge area and CSUN as well. Of course it is nice and clean inside and a bigger location inside. The employees are super friendly and nice, I think this is one of the great things about Trader Joe's, they have great people that work there. Trader's Joe's has so many great items here, impossible to list them all. Great organic products, fresh produce, huge variety of frozen foods, beer, wine, cheeses, fresh breads, nuts, snacks, etc. I could go on and on, all of this at very good prices as well, better than most grocery stores for this quality, they are a great value for healthier options. Lively new branch located near hotspots such as CSUN and the apartments. I came by finally to go get some ingredients I needed, and had a great time shopping and looking around. Only problem was I couldn't find a particular item I wanted so I had to go to another store to get it. There seems to be a lot of basic necessities but the more specific items might be hard for you to find. Lots of different cuisine foods to heat up and enjoy when you get home. Inside is brightly lit and the coffee grinder machine was sparkly clean. You grab the carts from the corner before you enter. Parking lot is a good size and I was able to find a spot. I stumbled upon this Trader Joe's before heading to an event & decided to stop in to buy my favorite item, the ready-to-eat falafel (seriously, it's seasoned to perfection & SO good). I thought I was in a parallel universe when I entered...the FULL-SIZED parking lot!!!! Typically, the chain's parking lots are TINY, often crowded, & you risk getting your vehicle hit. Parking's allotted based on store square footage & since Trader Joe's is on the smaller side, they get smaller lots. But that's NOT the case at store 312. You can FULLY open your doors! Oh the convenience...oh the luxury! I giddily snapped pics from the parking lot to inside the store (which was super clean, spacious, fully stocked & impeccably merchandised), & each crew member I came across shared in my glee. *A special shout out goes to the manager who was kind enough to gift me an awesome, reusable tote bag. Yay, finally this Trader Joe's location in Northridge on Reseda Blvd opened up Monday, July 21st. Love how the store is so spacious and so bright and has an open floor plan. This Trader Joe's location seems bigger than the other locations we frequent. This will now be our number 1 Trader Joe's location to shop at. This store just seems to carry more items than the other locations. Customer service here is excellent. The store employees are all so helpful and attentive. Stocked up on our favorite Trader Joe's items along with the chocolate pretzels. Informed all our social circles that Trader Joe's on Reseda Blvd in Northridge is now open. read more

I'm so happy they built a Trader Joe's at this location! It's right next to Chili's, super easy to find, and much bigger than the other locations I usually go to. The parking is way better, which alone makes this place a win. The store never feels overly cramped, it's always clean and well stocked, and the staff here is noticeably friendlier than other locations I've been to. When this place first opened the employees were super nice and attentive. I've noticed recently that cashiers will look at you and pull a customer from a different line, even though they looked right at you waiting in another line. They also need some help on how to pack your bag because why would you put chips at the bottom of the bag? Usually cashier's are friendly but recently seem so cringe, I wish they had self check out. I came on grand opening day to get my wife her yogurt. The store looks very nice and clean inside. They are set up wonderfully and all the staff are friendly from the moment you walk in. The parking lot is a decent size so for people coming to Chilis, you'll have a hard time finding parking now. I found my wife yogurt just fine and check out was easy. read more

Yes, great location! I love the new store! Put in got parking right away, which was something I was concerned about. It wasn't too busy even though it was around 5 PM. Everyone was very nice. It seems bigger than some of the others I've been to. I loved how everything was set up. They had some new fresh items that I've never seen before. I've literally been praying for one nearby for over a decade, wondering if it would ever open at the old Fresh & Easy or Tilted Kilt locations. But here we are, many years later, the old crusty buffet is gone, and we have a brand new Trader Joe's to call our own! Value - 5 It's Trader Joe's, so you already know the value is great. They offer fantastic quality products at excellent prices, and I'm especially thrilled they stock a delicious and cheap bread from a local LA bakery (I forget the name, but you'll know it when you see the display)! Quality of Work - 5 This new store is a shining example of quality. It breaks all the usual TJ's stereotypes: no cramped parking or cramped shopping here! This one is big, with spacious aisles, airy with windows letting in natural light, and features beautiful artwork depicting Northridge. I literally stopped to gawk at all of them while shopping! The store is always clean and well-maintained. Service - 5 As usual from Trader Joe's, the staff here are super nice, friendly, and helpful. I had a very concerning experience with the security company patrolling the lot shared by Chili's Grill & Bar and Trader Joe's. I came to Chili's to enjoy a day off with my sister. I intentionally parked in the far corner of the lot to avoid any potential damage since my car is brand new. I don't mind walking a little farther to protect my vehicle. For safety reasons -- as this lot is known for fast and reckless driving -- I chose to walk on the sidewalk instead of through the parking lanes. As soon as I stepped out of my car, I heard a man yelling from a distance, "I'm going to tow your car!" He hadn't approached me, hadn't asked where I was going, and made no attempt to have a respectful conversation. When I turned around and told him I was going into Chili's, he responded, "I don't care, I'm going to tow your car." When I asked for the company information, he said, "Go ahead -- they aren't going to do anything because I'm the owner." The tone was aggressive and dismissive, as if there would be no accountability. This was not my first encounter with him either. On a previous visit, I parked toward the center of the lot near the front by the alley and was walking toward Trader Joe's when he stopped me for the same reason. After I told him I was going into Trader Joe's, he simply said, "I'm watching you." That statement alone was unsettling and unnecessary. After this most recent interaction, I went inside Chili's to inform them about what had just happened. However, the situation had already made me uncomfortable. Instead of enjoying a meal like I originally planned, I felt uneasy and worried that my car would be towed while I was inside. Because of that, I chose not to dine there. I then went to Trader Joe's, purchased something small to eat, and left the plaza shortly after just to avoid further issues. I come to Trader Joe's very frequently and I'm from the area. To be treated this way -- threatened, monitored, and spoken to aggressively for simply parking and supporting the businesses -- is completely unacceptable. Security is supposed to make customers feel safe, not harassed or intimidated. I have video proof of the interaction as well as receipts from Trader Joe's showing I was a legitimate customer. I hope the landlord and tenants seriously evaluate whether this is the type of behavior they want representing their property. read more

Finally got around to checking out this new location. Right off the bat, I was impressed by the parking lot since Trader Joes notoriously always have the worst parking lots. It was busy but I was still able to find parking with ease--there were plenty of spaces and they are good sized. The inside of the store was also spacious unlike some other locations. Everything was fully stocked, organized, and I found all my favorites with ease. The produce section looked great! Sometimes the produce can be hit or miss at Trader Joe's but so far it seems like they're doing a great job making sure the produce they put out is nice and fresh and organized! Staff were friendly and helpful just as you come to expect at Trader Joe's. Rosario was super nice and checked on us every time she passed us so special shout out to her. Staff seemed excited and proud of their store! Really good experience, I'll definitely be stopping by this location whenever I'm in the area! read more

Finally a Trader Joe's in Northridge! Was a regular at the balboa location in Granada hill but it wasn't my favorite. The parking was a nightmare and the isles were way too narrow making it crowded. This stores parking is huge! The store is spacious, clean and comfortable to shop in. But for the love of God! open at 8 am like all of the other Trader Joe's! This security guard harassed us as soon as we parked our car he walked up to our car and asked use why we were here we said we were going to trader Joe's he then said not to leave our car and go anywhere else but trader Joe's that he was the new security and this was our first warning next he would tow our car he we said ok he then walk down a little repeatedly looking at us aggressively and stop here and kept looking at us in disgust I'm actually afraid to go into the store at this point and as I'm writing this he walked back up and took a picture of my license plate I absolutely I'm terrified right now what kind of security service is trader Joe's hiring be aware if you see this man I'm so scared I'm actually leaving I'll shop elsewhere read more

Trader Joe's in Northridge is officially open. Went there today to do a little shopping and it was wonderful. All the fresh stuff so many varieties and the staff super happy and very welcoming. Thank you for coming to our neighborhood. I got the frozen orange chicken, of course. And the broccoli beef. I noticed their vanilla ice cream has clean ingredients, like Häagen-Dazs. I got some fresh produce. A jar of their tomato, basil, marinara sauce, that they're famous for. Some authentic real Italian pasta. And some frozen meatballs. They have a lot of nice salads, different kinds of lettuce. They have these little frozen baguettes that you can heat up in the air fryer. So glad they're finally open, so tired of Vons mediocre stuff read more

I finally was able to visit the new Trader Joe's location and I LOVE it! The aisles are spacious enough to pass people with your carts and not feel squished / scraping carts past each other like at other locations. You can actually walk, stop, stand in front of your cart and look at things, while someone else is going past and they still have plenty of space to stop and also look at things on their side. Also the parking lot is not that bad, although it's still a little crowded, there are people coming and going so the flow of finding a spot is pretty fluid. I think it's soley the Trader Joes parking lot so instead of having congestion from other places it's only people going to Trader Joes. Alllll my favorite Trader Joes items are stocked here and the location of everything matches up pretty well as other locations so it's easy to find things. I am soooo excited to have this location and I probably always use this location from now on! read more

Out of all the Trader Joe's this one hit different. Very bright, open layout . Super stocked up on all the goodies if not more. The people are so kind idk if it's because it's new but they're way more welcoming than the rest. The liquor/beer section is the smallest wish they had a lil more variety but overall it's the best !
