Super clean and organized market. Definitely great for foreign and hard to find goods. Associates are also really helpful.

This Albertsons location sits on the corner of Saticoy and Tampa in Reseda, California. I come here…read moreto pick up all my household essentials--especially items I can't find at Costco. They offer a nice variety of produce, meats, dairy, vegetables, and just about anything else you might need. However, given that this store is in Reseda, California, theft seems to be a major issue. There are plenty of cameras in place to deter shoplifting, and security measures are clearly a priority. Customer Service & Store Ambience The staff here is really friendly--if you need anything, just ask, and they're happy to help. That said, the ambience of the store leaves something to be desired. The moment you walk in, you're met with a security gate that only opens when you're within a few feet of it. Then, when exiting, the other entrance has gates that don't open at all, forcing everyone to go through the checkout lines. On one hand, I understand this as a necessary security measure given the current economy and retail theft issues. On the other hand, it feels unsettling, especially for honest shoppers like myself--I don't appreciate being made to feel like a suspect. Uncomfortable Checkout Experience While checking out at the self-checkout, a bag of cheese slipped from my cart onto the floor. Immediately, the screen flashed with a camera view of me, as if I was being monitored for suspicious activity. A message popped up stating that an associate needed to verify my items before I could proceed. The entire experience felt weird and uncomfortable--I hadn't done anything wrong, yet I was being scrutinized as if I had. This level of security reminds me of what's happening at Target and Walmart, where many products are now locked behind glass, requiring an associate to unlock them just so customers can purchase basic items. Honestly, the way these stores handle theft is becoming excessive, and it's starting to push me away from shopping there altogether. Final Thoughts This is the society we live in now--you're assumed guilty until proven innocent, am I right? Will I shop here again? Yes. Do I appreciate being treated like a potential thief? No. I get that management is trying to address theft, but they still have some kinks to work out. Hopefully, improvements will be made in the future.

She was upset about a small sample paper cup that was sitting inside the cart and accused them of throwing it there. The strange part is that my family member was still holding their own sample cup in their hand and told her that. Instead of realizing it may have been left there by someone else, the woman aggressively snatched the cup from her hand, and continued escalating the situation. The conversation was happening in Korean, and she began insulting them, saying they didn't even speak Korean and couldn't understand what she was saying. We are Korean by the way. All of this over a tiny paper sample cup that wasn't even theirs. The cashier seemed confused and was apologetic, clearly unsure why this woman was acting this way. What was more disappointing was that when it was brought to the owner or manager's attention, the response was dismissive. My family member was asked to let it go, not the worker It's concerning that someone felt comfortable physically reaching into a customer's cart and grabbing something from their hand, and that it was brushed off instead of addressed. Unfortunately, this isn't our first negative experience here. On a previous visit, we bought multiple cabbage that turned out to be rotten inside. I called immediately, took photos, and asked if I could return it. I was told yes, but the person on the phone sounded irritated, like it was somehow my fault. There are other options, like Galleria, where the produce is consistently fresher and the management is noticeably more attentive and welcoming. Very disappointing overall.

They just suck. This is the location I pass daily on my commute... I had such a terrible experience there just over a year ago that I stopped coming here... my coworkers suggested Chatsworth (on Mason) & Canoga Park (Roscoe & Topanga) and I really never looked back. Then in a rush & for the sake of convenience I popped in with one of my coworkers recently.... I knew better. I am still so upset by how I was spoken to & spoken about... I'm crying as I type this. How any business owner could put these terrible human beings at the checkout &/or in charge of the checkout just blows my mind. We all have that jar or tin where all the loose spare change gets tossed into. After years of tossing the loose change away, it was time to bring it in for actual cash. There was actually another store that I popped into but their machine was out of order. This Ralph still has there up front right by the floral and self serve register. It's as simple as it gets when using it. Touch the screen to start. From there, toss all the loose coins into the tray and start. It sorts it out and counts the coins for you. Anything that isn't a normal coins gets dispensed down to the return slot. Once you finish, it breaks down and count the totals amount of coins counted. The breakdown of everything that was accepted. To cash out, they print out a voucher where it can be used for purchase or cash from the register. Simple as that. Oh, they do take a certain amount for the fee. Anyways, it's old school but with the coins but it does come in handy... lol... Store, it's your local spot where the neighborhood shop. Depending on when you come, early or evening tends to be when the restocking happens. Throughout the day, it happens but rarely as they rather have it done when the store is less busy. The produce is always pretty fresh with the regular and organic. Meats has alway been great whenever I'm there. Seafood, they have a decent selections. Some stores more than others but it does the trick. Hot deli section has a good selections of premade item. Depending on what day you visit, they have deals. Like fried chicken, rotisserie chicken, pizzas and so on. Different day different special. When checking out, sometimes it's faster to do self check out. But where there's loads in your cart, it's probably a better bet to go into the lines as the groceries does pile up and trying to bag yourself can be a bitch. There's not much negative about this place as it's a pretty straight shot. Plenty of parking in the lot.
