This Albertsons location sits on the corner of Saticoy and Tampa in Reseda, California. I come here to pick up all my household essentials--especially items I can't find at Costco. They offer a nice variety of produce, meats, dairy, vegetables, and just about anything else you might need. However, given that this store is in Reseda, California, theft seems to be a major issue. There are plenty of cameras in place to deter shoplifting, and security measures are clearly a priority. Customer Service & Store Ambience The staff here is really friendly--if you need anything, just ask, and they're happy to help. That said, the ambience of the store leaves something to be desired. The moment you walk in, you're met with a security gate that only opens when you're within a few feet of it. Then, when exiting, the other entrance has gates that don't open at all, forcing everyone to go through the checkout lines. On one hand, I understand this as a necessary security measure given the current economy and retail theft issues. On the other hand, it feels unsettling, especially for honest shoppers like myself--I don't appreciate being made to feel like a suspect. Uncomfortable Checkout Experience While checking out at the self-checkout, a bag of cheese slipped from my cart onto the floor. Immediately, the screen flashed with a camera view of me, as if I was being monitored for suspicious activity. A message popped up stating that an associate needed to verify my items before I could proceed. The entire experience felt weird and uncomfortable--I hadn't done anything wrong, yet I was being scrutinized as if I had. This level of security reminds me of what's happening at Target and Walmart, where many products are now locked behind glass, requiring an associate to unlock them just so customers can purchase basic items. Honestly, the way these stores handle theft is becoming excessive, and it's starting to push me away from shopping there altogether. Final Thoughts This is the society we live in now--you're assumed guilty until proven innocent, am I right?Will I shop here again? Yes. Do I appreciate being treated like a potential thief? No. I get that management is trying to address theft, but they still have some kinks to work out. Hopefully, improvements will be made in the future. read more

They cheat me every time I forget and buy Romaine lettuce here! I'm very careful to not get the organic which is $1 more and yet they ALWAYS CHARGE ME $1 MORE THAN THE PRICE ON THE SHELF for the non- organic!!! Very frustrating and I've lost nearly $10 in all the overcharges I've paid! Seems like it is done on purpose since it's always the romaine. I stopped by to use the US Bank inside. It was still early so there were Plenty of parking available near the front entrance. The ATM is located by the customer service desk together with the Coinstar and Lottery machines. I didn't accomplish what I came for so I left. I had a chance to glance at the store and it looks clean, fully stocked and organized. Fresh flowers, bouquets and plants are visible by the other entrance. read more

Shopping at this Albertsons is a constant exercise in frustration and a colossal waste of time. Items shown as In-Stock and available in their own app only to be greeted with empty shelves most of the time once you get here. Sold-out items are veeery slow to be re-stocked. Good luck waiting on any of them to be available again. Often takes DAYS, sometimes WEEKS to be re-stocked. Nobody seems to be paying attention to sold-out items and empty shelves here. As if they were waiting on Santa to come do their inventory and order shipments coming from the North Pole. I remember ditching this Albertsons in frustration and stopped shopping here for Years because of this same exact problem. Looks like nothing has improved all these years. Only started coming back this summer because they now have an app that sometimes offers digital coupons on ice-creams. But I made it a point to only come here to get a boatload of discounted ice creams, fly through self-checkout and then bolt the heck out of there as fast as I could. Oh, their ice cream shelves are so mind-blowingly disorganized and messy. Some shelves would stay empty for Days, sometimes Weeks at a time. And if they aren't empty, pints of ice creams are strewn all over the shelves. Most of them, upside down and have no label or price underneath them. And if there were labels, they don't even match the items directly above them. When staff is asked to check if a Sold-Out item on the shelf is available in the back storage area, were told they couldn't check? This is unacceptable. During regular business hours, someone in the store needs to be empowered to be able to go and check in the back to see if an item is available so the customer could buy it right then and there instead of making them leave and come back again especially since it takes Forever for this store to re-stock their items! It's so hard to quickly find what you need that you end up wasting a lot of time here. You'd get so frustrated after shopping here that when you get back to your car, you'd have to open your meditation app and go thru it 10 times in a row for every 30 minutes needlessly spent dealing with their random BS just to get back to your normal self. Each bag was 2 pounds = total of $10.00 / bag, limit 2 bags. It's a steal. I also saw that the Yoplait yogurt for 0.37 each (must purchase in groups of 6, but with a limit of 24 total). Dear Yelp readers: I attempted to make this complaint privately within the Albertson's system but after calling three phone numbers and filling out a customer experience form, no phone numbers seems to be able to be used for complaints and the submit button on the form won't actually submit... so here is what I attempted to submit. The produce department staff, Miguel (I believe) of store 2305, was extremely rude to me and the store director, Sam Herrera, was also. There was no lettuce on the shelves and when I asked Miguel why he responded that he could not hear me, so I spoke up. He immediately threw up his hands, reared back extremely animated and accused me of being aggressive to him. When I told him that he asked me to speak up so that's what I did, he continued with these odd behaviors. So I disengaged and went to the store director, who explained that they missed a delivery of lettuce leading to no lettuce at all to be purchased. When the attitude of the produce clerk was brought up Mr. Herrera listened and responded with, "well I don't know what happened". I told him that he does know what happened because I just told him and offered to go with him to confirm my complaint with his employee. That was soundly rebuffed with a sneer - "I'm not going to do that in front of you." When I expressed disappointment in the response he accused me of being rude, showed me the palm of his hand and walked off saying that he would not speak to me any longer. I shop their weekly and resent being treated like this. All it would have taken is an acknowledgement that I, his customer, was upset about the behavior of one of his staff, an apology (which would have been accepted even without saying who was wrong), and an expression of intent to look into the situation and take any action he thought might be warranted. But to be stonewalled by stating that he didn't know what happened after I just told him is basically implying that I'm not being forthright with him about my customer experience, IT NEVER HAD TO GET TO THIS POINT; NOT COOL. read more

I guess I've been leading a sheltered life since Covid and getting more deliveries than I have been visiting stores, but I recently came back to my old neighborhood and went to my former usual grocery store. I just wanted to run in and pick up some toiletries, but everything was under lock and key in a different cabinet. I didn't have the patience to shop Like that, so I left, intending to return my empty grocery cart to the corral outside. As soon as I crossed the threshold, the cart wheels locked. Well I first tried coming to Food 4 Less first thing this morning to get just my weekly groceries but they had 75 people outside waiting for the store to open. I decided to come here at 7 AM and the place was already packed. Of course no toilet paper and no water. Really nothing in the meat department except for steaks. Frozen food aisle's pretty much have been wiped out as well as canned goods. And the line extended down each frozen food aisle all the way to the meat department. 40 mins in line. Everything is super expensive even more so than Ralph's. I needed just weekly groceries for myself and 40 mins later, I'm checking out. At least my guy was fast at the register. This virus bullshit has everyone hoarding crap. What can you do though? read more

I have been shopping here since I was a little girl and am now 37 years old with a little girl.. my job requires me to buy gift cards as payment when people do interviews for us.. I purchase gift cards every other week. I ALWAYS pay with Apple Pay because I have the company card in my Apple wallet. Today I went in sick with a sick 5 year old, waited 20 minutes in line and I truly believe the old bitter checker with nappy grey hair and thick black glasses tried to embarrass me on purpose because she is the only one who asks everytime how I am paying, I don't know if they changed their polices recently but she yelled back "can we do gift cards with Apple Pay?" Another checker with a mustache yelled back "no" and then a white male employee jumped in and yelled out "no" how embarrassing in front of a full store. For being so old they all acted very childish especially when I said I do this every week! I will never go back to this Albertsons. Once they took away surveys the checkers all got too comfortable and petty. I have been going to this Albertsons for years!! Everyone there knows me. I have 2 young children the ages of 4 & and 5, who can't sit still while I shop so I decided to try the fresh pass delivery option. Huge mistake!! The gentleman that does the shopping always messes up on the order. Very incompetent!! He doesn't really look for the items and just says they are out of stock. I go in after the order is delivered, and there are the items I needed that he said were out of stock. On one occasion, I had 10 very important quests coming over for dinner and was making homemade spaghetti. I ordered 10 boxes of angel hair pasta that was 10 for $10 and also had listed a substitute just in case they were out of the special. It was a flash delivery, and I was counting on those noodles. The boy shopping for my order put " out of stock," and no replacement noodles were bothered to be sent. After my order was delivered and there were no noodles, I ran to the store and there they were. The substitute noodles I had requested. All 10 boxes!! What a waste of time!! On another occasion, I had ordered a box of variety chips for my children, and they were anxiously awaiting them as they were both having play dates. The same boy shopping again for my order advised " out of stock," as well as the substitute box of chips, which were "out of stock," so no chips were delivered. I drove quickly to the store once again when no chips were delivered and there they were!! Both boxes of chips!! Another waste of time!! Then he really made me mad when he deliberately caused me not to get a special because he only gave me 3 12 packs of soda and said the other 12 pack was out of stock. The special was buy 2 get 2 free. This caused me to be charged full price for 3 12 packs of sda instead of getting 2 12 packs for free. There was a substitute soda listed, which he completely ignored!! On another occasion, he caused me once again not to get the special on the 12 pack sodas as instead of a 12 pack of large sprite, he sent a small box of small sprite throwing off the promo requirements. Very incompetent boy!!! This last order I had ordered 12 grain bread, and when it arrived, whoever baged the bread put it in the same bag as the gallon of milk a d the bread arrived totally squished and had to be thrown away. I had requested a refund because of this . The refund was given by the fresh pass customer service, but then was reversed again by the store. This whole fresh pass thing has been so stressful. They need to get a shopper that is intelligent and uses common sense. I joined this fresh pass so I wouldn't have to take the kids to the store. It defeats the whole purpose when I am constantly going to the store to get items that were marked "out of stock" when the items are on the shelf!! What a waste of time and energy!! Coming here is always a mistake. I normally go to Ralphs which is out of my way but today I did not have that option. I rarely go to Albertsons because (as was the case today) they are always out of something and I end up having to make an extra trip somewhere else. The checkout lines also move at a glacial pace. I -thought- l was lucky to walk right up to a self-checkout which ultimately froze and I ended up waiting for an employee who had to ring me up manually. More wasted time. POC BEWARE. After paying for my groceries at self-checkout, as I was putting them in my car I noticed that a rather large group of employees was outside looking in my direction. Then, as I left my cart in the corral, I was approached by the employee who WATCHED me checkout, she asked if she could take a look at my groceries. I agreed. I also asked her what the problem was as we walked towards my car. She accused me of stealing 3 heads of lettuce. I said "are you kidding? you watched me scan each one, why would I steal three lettuces?" She then reached into my bag and tried to grab the 3/6 "stolen" lettuce heads. I told her no, I will pay for them, if they didn't get counted it was a mistake! After seeing how upset I was she looked through her copy of the receipt one more time, looks at me and says "I'm so sorry". Apparently, she didn't read the receipt properly, all my items were paid for. I left feeling like T R A S H. (PS: this isn't the first time I've felt racist energy from an employee here. But this time they went too far) No one can convince me that this happened for any reason other than the way I look. Of all the employees huddled together with her looking in my direction not ONE of them said let's take a closer look at this receipt before we send you after this person. Hi very familiar with the store. I'm not too fond of the cashiers here they don't give great customer service. The only cashier that always has a smile on her face is Debbie G.The managers are pretty great. Today I came in asking for 100 pieces worth of chicken in the fresh deli department. And to my surprise, I got the greatest customer service that I received in that store period. I was picking up an order and the customer did not pre-order but Becky was able to provide me with a customer service helped me out and got me on my way to my delivery. Martha also helped. Ty. In my opinion we need more people like this, that don't make more problems instead find solutions. without the fighting in the arguing and saves a lot of time and it creates bonds between people. I will definitely come back and shop for my personal needs here and ask for her to help me in future purchases. They only get a five star rating because of the service that I got today. This Albertsons location is my local store and i am extremely upset with their new policy...so, i went in today for a money order over $2k and i was told by a young Hispanic employee that they now collect information for money orders over $2k...according to this young Hispanic employee it just started a week ago, which requires them to collect your social security number that they keep for their records and it is locked in their safe. So i requested that i receive a copy of this document containing my social security number.....so the young Hispanic employee said he needed to ask his manager(Tony). The young Hispanic employee explains that i would like a copy of this specific document to Tony(manager) and immediately Tony goes in how it's a government document and told me that it's not a law for him to give me a copy and he was NOT going to give me a copy. He also told me to bring in documents stating that i can receive a copy and he has been doing this for 20 years when this new policy just started last week according to the young Hispanic employee. So i grabbed my belongings and exit the store. I went to another location where my social security was NOT required. ....i thought it was kinda weird that he wanted to write my personal info down and told me it will be stored in their safe...what if he misplaced that paper with my personal information. It's not like he was entering my info into a computer system. There are companies that sell personal information and i just wanted a copy for my records. I will never go back to this location for that type of service. Great job Tony(manager) that's been doing this for 20 years. Keep up the good work! Staffs are unprofessional. Don't want to help and don't recognize the difference between the Vons app and Vons website. Kept persisting that I used Vons website but not the app so the coupon didnt work. I have used Vons app for more than 2 years and no problem. Other Vons or Albertsons staffs would just apply coupon manually for me if the similar scenario happens. The staff here didn't want to help after I gave up on him that "oh, you used the website so it didn't work". I asked him to show me which app I should download then and he flew away. It makes sense why this store rarely ran out of sale items according to staffs' attitudes. Along with this I wonder if it is racist here because I am Asian. BYE this store forever read more

I go there after I do my banking next door; find the items on sale well priced. On several occasions found the cashiers with some attitude but none like the one I encountered with Yolanda AKA "Yolie". Since I had multiples of the same items & price I thought it would be helpful for both her & me to put 1 on the counter & let her know how many I had of each. She flew into a mild rage came around & unloaded everything telling me she's going to do it her way. Her attitude & energy were the worst. I was so taken back that I found myself asking for the manager. As a Senior Citizen there is no need for such disrespect & abuse. NOTE: "Yolie" had just had a disagreement with the man ahead of me since she had short changed him by a lot of money. She said she had transposed the numbers in her head instead of $71.00 to $17.00-he told her that is a big difference! & He left. She represents as well as the other crumpy lady cashier the market. It is such a difference from the Studio City Vons'/Albertson's. We are all under a bunch of stress why make it worst for everyone else. The 2 people I asked for assistance 1) by the freezer section 2) the nice man that works at the bank made my day til I went to pay. Hope this serves to have the manager provide better training in Customer Service. They have a nice organic section although I wish it was larger. They had some prepackaged organic salads 3 for $12 and they are good! My favorite thing to buy are their bagged cookies of course, but I try to refrain because we will devour that entire bag in a week! Overall, prices are comparable to their competitors.
