This is our go to for groceries (sometimes we go to Ralph's depending on what times we're looking to get). It's a nice, big parking lot and they have a Starbucks inside. In the last year or so, they added their Pokemon Vending Machine that sells a variety of pokemon card sets. The stock used to be way better and it's unfortunate that it's been sold out completely the last few visits. Other than that, staff here are super friendly! I love the vibes they all have and they're all helpful. We came by this afternoon to pick up some quick items like milk and chocolate and were surprised to find a bunch of 70% discounted wine! I was having a wicked pregnancy craving for a deli sandwich (a no-no because of the deli meat, I know), but deli staff member Franklin was kind and made sure to heat up my turkey meat to steaming to eliminate any listeria risk. In the end the sandwich hit the spot! I ordered a toasted turkey club with mayo, mustard, avocado, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and banana peppers. They have one register open even the self you have any kind of alcohol, you can't so you have to stand in line for 25 minutes plus for a bottle of wine what is wrong with management? I came to this Vons today to get some chips. Vons Friday 5 deals are amazing so I usually come on Friday for their deals. I mostly go to the store closer to me in Mission Hills but I also stop by this one from time to time. There a Starbucks in this location so that's always good. The flowers and fruits are on the left side of the store when you walk in. They have self checkout station and cashier station here. If you start coming often then you'll get familiar with where things are quickly. The parking here is great and it's in a plaza with other retail stores as well. read more

Idk about the customer service but the sushi here is the best quality for the price. I recommend coming Fridays where they have $5 sushi deals on select rolls. I get the chef special #2, it's 3 pieces of salmon nigiri and a salmon roll. Also, they have a nice big selection of their health drinks. The lines can get a little long and slow though. read more

I have shop here over 30 years and for last 8 years, the service is bad. They are not friendly to error i found from their stores. They show one price and when I go to cashier ot shows more expensive. Sometimes the coupon does not apply. Several months ago, I had experience i got charge over $30 because the coupons that "U" members get. If I didn't check the receipt, I would spend $30 more than I needed to. Plus the manager wasn't kind when I inform her and pretty irritated by correcting the error. There are several other experience I had and I kept quite because thinking using Vons for so many years, it might a just this once or twice but seems like it's not the case. I've been a customer for this location for over a year and has spent thousands of dollars on online orders. I placed an order last week to which their incompetent shoppers couldn't find half my products and when I asked them to substitute for other products I just got ignored. I then proceeded to ask for a refund and I still haven't gotten it yet and no one answers the phone for the past three days. I've been calling to ask to speak with the store manager and online order manager and the phone just rings and hangs up. What kind of store is this? Does anyone even do their job last time? My complaint is with service only. Upon check out the cashier & guy bagging were talking to each other. I had to interrupt them to them to tell the bagger which bad was for frozen groceries. He had already started filling a plain plastic bag when I provided an insulated bag. The man bagging my grocery's threw twelve loose containers of yoghurt in the bottom of my cart when I wasn't looking even though at the end of my transaction I had an extra bag to the right of his elbow that he had put next to him. I had to remind him to give it back to me at the end. They continued talking during my entire transaction. Then I went to the Starbucks in the Von's store. The 2 girls were talking while I was waiting for my drink order. I asked them to pls. not talk but to make my order. One girl was waving her hands around while she talked to the other worker & they continued to talk & do nothing even as I was making expressions of my disapproval & complaint. Hard to make a drink as your waving your hands around talking!! Also, I ordered a pastry which I have done many times at various Von's. They have always asked if I wanted it warmed or not. This worked took my pastry out of the wrap as I looked up. I didn't want it unwrapped or heated. Great stock and a friendly staff made for this quick produce trip a delight. And the other customers were cheerful and friendly to both of our young kids which helped make things fun for them as well! I will say it looked like they might've had a leak or some sort of refrigeration issue as they had a huge area around the dairy refrigerators roped off & covered in paper towels & other cleaning supplies. Lucky for us we didn't need anything in there but I could understand how that could dampen some peoples' experiences there. read more

I have to hand it to Louise and Gina, who have assisted me several times when I've made a mess of things at the registers or needed to return or exchange something. I'm sure everyone there works hard, but I've noticed these 2 in particular, are always on the ball and have great customer service skills. I also have to mention that their restroom is always super clean and no need to ask someone to unlock it for you, because it's been unlocked each time I've gone in. This Vons is the worst. They have gone from bad to terrible. When you need help, the staff pretends they don't see you. Huge lines at the checkout line. And now they have gotten rid of the shopping baskets. So if you need to get a couple of items you now have to get a big shopping carts. I like this Vons because it is close to home; comparable prices; good customer service and it's a clean store. I love their deli as they have a great selection of deli meats from Primo to Boars. They have fried chicken, baked chicken, chicken strips, French fries (big ones), variety of sandwiches and breakfast burritos. The deli is always on point! There is a sushi bar next to the sandwich station which is good. There is A Panda Express, Starbucks, Flower/Plant/Balloons stand and Pharmacy as well. The other night I stopped by, it was 10:58 and the store manager Julissa, 100% rude as she kicked us out. We thought that they were open a little later on Friday and Saturday nights as most grocers are. "Well we're not and we haven't been for years goodbye" was the retort to oh sorry I thought you were open later on weekends. She is never polite customer service from her is horrible. There's a cashier there who openly talks about Trump and how stupid the world is for not voting for him, and she so openly racist so is Julissa that it's ridiculous. They should not be allowed to discuss these things so openly. I have seen and heard them shame people for using ebt cards as payment,"that's what's wrong w the world you're all too lazy to get a job just use the system" (this from the Trump loving cashier) if you work at this Vons and you're reading this you know who she is. The price point as usual for all Vons stores is outrageous. The options stink as well. So done with this store and the rude unprofessional behavior of the management that I am willing to drive 3 more miles to Food 4 Less, with better prices and management is always there to serve you and without the nasty attitude. I know pharmacist are very busy and I know their job Involves a lot of detail and mental thinking but I also know kindness goes along way so if you find a pharmacy that is kind, caring and does a great job with out errors then they deserve praise. This is my local store. The cashiers are always super affectionate to my toddler and infant and my son loves the experience every time. There always giving out stickers to them. Tonight Brandi was our cashier and my 3 year old son had 5 dollars pocket money he earnt from helping his grandparents with the gardening. He wanted to spend it on 4 toy cars. I did the math wrong and they ended up being 6 dollars. I insisted my son do the transaction as it was his money. When it went a dollar over I said ill pay the rest on my card. She dug into her own pocket and took a dollar out to make up the difference even after I insisted paying. It was just a lovely moment for all involved. Shes always very friendly and a good laugh. there is a manager that's named Sheila w blonde hair . She's awfully rude I have my service animals there and she literally came and said that there is no dogs allowed and walked away and I'm and I asked her who she is. She said that she's the manager and there's no dogs allowed and I went to tell her that their service animals would get sued for that and she said there's no dogs allowed thank you and walked away and i said their service animals I can show you their certificates thank you she made me feel really uncomfortable and I'm already not emotionally. Well I suffered from severe anxiety. but on the other hand, Andrew was amazing. He was funny and he helped me. i've been coming to this Vons for years. I never met anyone as mean as her. Never enough checkouts. 9pm at least a dozen customers in line and there is one cashier and three of the six self checks open. The manager threw our shopping cart into us stating it was in the way. I don't know where I'm supposed to put it Stacie, I didn't design the self check. If the whole other side of the aisle is closed it was probably wide enough for someone to get by. I was yelled at by the store manager because I walked in at 10:45 pm on Thursday November 2, 2023. She was extremely rude and unnecessarily vicious barking at me "THE STORE IS CLOSING." I politely asked her why she could not have said the same thing in a courteous manner, but she totally ignored me and pretended I did not exist. I have never been treated so poorly at any retail establishment anywhere, ever. This was by far the worst and most gratuitously heinous customer service experience ever. I have been shopping at Vons for over 25 years. Today was the last time I ever step foot in that or any other Vons store (or any brand owned by Albertsons; or any format owned by Kroger if their acquisition of Vons' parent company Albertsons goes through). Everyone should do themselves a favor and shop at Target, Walmart, Aldi, Super King, Grocery Outlet, Sprouts, or literally anywhere else that is not Vons or owned by Albertsons, or part of Kroger. I've never reviewed the grocery store before but I have received the best service from Terrell in your meat department. I've been a customer for many years and always had lousy customer service from the meat department in the past but Terrell has changed my experience. He is always helpful and even takes time to get to know his customers. Even when it's busy and multiple customers are asking him for help he is delighted to help them. The .com department is completely disrespectful and without any accountability. I've had 3 orders cancelled without being notified due to them being "understaffed". When I spent over an hour calling in there was no apology or any empathy. The guy who finally answered said something to the lines of "well we were understaffed so...". This time I placed a $169 order with a large amount being pet food. The order was placed last night with a delivery time of 4-5pm tonight. Around 415p I called to check status. After 30 minutes of waiting I get through to a non .com employee who had to walk and find the .com employee. When they finally answered they took my name and put me on hold to look. After a 10 minute hold time I was told my order was out for delivery and was 2 stops away. I knew this wasn't true because I didn't receive a confirmation email stating what was filled and what wasn't in stock. I asked him to verify my address and was placed back on hold for over 10 minutes before hanging up. I called back and asked for a manager and was told one wasn't available and someone would call me back. 2 hours later I asked my wife to try. She got through and magically we got a confirmation text that our order was out for delivery. The confirmation email showed $66 total with $100 not being filled due to being out of stock. After we got our $66 worth of groceries, my wife and I went to the store and found every item that wasn't filled fully stocked. I spoke with a manager who said we'd get a call back tomorrow. Not holding my breath. Every cashier is nothing but polite when you go into the store but the point of online delivery is to avoid contact during a pandemic. Will definitely need to switch stores but I do not plan on letting this go. **follow up. I got a call yesterday from the supervisor who apologized and said he'd personally pick my order and deliver it at no charge. A day later, nothing. Unbelievable. read more

John the manager is useless. The store is packed with customers and he's standing in the middle acting liking he's busy. I watched him on the computer while he did nothing for several minutes. No 10 items or less check out, instead they have a flower check out for mothers day. Screw anyone who needs to get in and out fast as long as they can make as much money as they can on their overpriced worn looking flowers. Yes they have a self check out but I'm buying beer so they force me to stand in lines with people shopping for a months worth of food. They do nothing about the homeless because they are afraid of confrontation. The vons is a joke and should be replaced with a Ralphs or even better a Gelsons. read more
