I used The delivery service with Vons last month for the 1st time ever and was VERY impressed!! They had what I needed and delivery was on time. In fact, the driver called to ask if it was ok to deliver a little early! The gentleman was very friendly and I feel really bad that I forgot to leave him a tip $ He definitely deserved a generous tip! Next time I use their delivery service, I will tip well!! For the last 2 times that I went to this Vons customer service has been lacking. One day I went and the employee at the register was to busy having a conversation with another person, so I had to wait till she finished her conversation to check out. It waited about 5 minutes till she decided to get back to work. The second day I went, the bamboo plant that was in my cart accidentally fell and the rocks spilled on the floor. Trying to put the rocks in a pile, the lady at the register shouted DON'T TOUCH IT!. She acted like it was hazardous. It wa just rocks, not glass. After that I went back to replace the plant with a new one and when I was paying she had an attitude. She doesn't show it, but you can tell that she has an attitude in the tone of voice. She acts like accidents don't happen. Also she was demanding. She told the employee that was sweeping up the rocks to get this and that. Like I would think the guy sweeping up the rocks knows what to do. I would only come to this Vons if it is absolutely necessary. Otherwise, visit another Vons or grocery store. read more

I was at Vons shopping around 8 p.m. last week on a Thursday and I had just gotten off work, I had worked a 12-hour shift. I hadn't eaten all day long and while I was shopping I had a grocery clerk asked me if he could help me with anything. I answered yes if he wants to help me grocery shop and he began to tell me about a sale on Apple's. He pulled off an apple from the Shelf cut a slice for me to eat. It was so good! I was starving by the way. It was the nicest gesture, talk about excellent customer service. read more

We spent 30 minutes looking for lard in this store. Asked the woman working the meat department she said it's in the baking aisle no it's not there. Further searching through this store to no avail we ask someone at the front counter. He said it's in the meat department oh no it's not. Back up to the front of the store again 3rd times a charm right? No way they sent someone to look for it came back empty handed. Why not just check you computer and see you don't have the stuff to begin with. No longer a Vons customer. Even if I have to drive 5 miles out of my way to go somewhere else. read more

Very nice store. Modern and extremely clean. Bakery and deli are 5 star for a grocery store. Deli has sandwiches that are elite compared to subway at similar price. Huge selection of beer and especially wine. Better have the "Vons Club" ( when is this insanity going to end ) to shop. Or just about any item is 3 x more expensive. = scam. Having said that, there is local pride taken by employee's in this store. I highly recommend this location. read more

WARNING!!! They allow dogs to run around in this store! They even allow them in the sections where "service" animals are not even allowed to go! Leads me to question.... How safe is the food??? Bad management, bad! read more

WATCH FOR EXPIRED ITEMS!!! More and more both this and the one on N. Chester are mixing old & new stock, customers rummage through and further mix it up, I have purchased so many expired items over the past 6 mo's I am considering going back to WinCo or FoodMax :-( Come on VONS!!! read more

This pharmacy is probably the worst I have ever dealt with. It's is always slow. I've had to wait for hours (and in one case until the next day) for them to be able to even find prescriptions that were sent directly to them from a doctors office. They do not keep records of when they owe you medications (like being short on pills) and treat you badly when you come in to try and get what you already paid for. read more

I don't have a lot to complain about regarding this Vons. They seem to have some staffing issues which only appears to be a problem during peak times. But I have to give this place one star for the absolutely deplorable constant state of their bathrooms. Particularly the women's. It says that someone comes to clean every hour but I've seen employees enter the bathroom, sign the sheet and immediately leave. It always smells like something died in there. There is rarely toilet paper. And there is frequently sanitary napkins and fecal matter outside of proper disposal areas. If the bathroom reflects the overall cleanliness of the store in its entirety then I would highly advise that this store is avoided. read more

No handheld baskets at the entrance, and one cashier in particular needs some serious customer service training. He "welcomed" me with a surprised, "hey", and handed my reciept over without a word to me as he acknowledged the man behind me with a perfectly acceptable greeting of, "hello, sir, how are you?" Wow, really? I came here because of the rude meat-counter girls at Albertsons down the street. Apparently the rudeness is simply epidemic. read more

This is I think the best Von's in town clean lots of registers when they get busy I really like the produce section so clean and fresh

Picked up a few things yesterday on the way home. I was craving the chicken salad from the deli something we always get at the Stockdale store. When I walked up and saw a full platter of chicken salad I thought yesssss! When I got home and made a sandwich I now know why the platter was full. This salad is awful at this store. I don't think it had any chicken it was full of onions and celery. I'm sticking to my Stockdale store more flowers and a deli with good food that you can eat. read more

Worse service I ever had...went in there today to get plant basket for co-worker. I wanted to add a balloon on to the plants bouquet. A lady name Rhonda was helping me and she is so rude....this is my first time going into this location. Will never go back again with that of kind service. read more

Service is ok. Poorly trained bag boys don't pay attention and give away your reusable bag to the next person in line. Despite the fact your reusable bag is placed on conveyor before your groceries are scanned. They don't know how to bag groceries properly. So ya go ahead and visit this cons if you want your reusable bags to be given away to someone else and if you want your groceries to be crushed by idiot bag boys. Forget the fact that you're paying those Vons prices. read more

Vons Bakery- to the older woman that stated "the bakery was her department" was completely rude and unprofessional. I asked a simple question regarding cakes, and a food allergy and regarding the labels. She was BEYOND hateful. She walked away in mid sentence. She rolled her eyes and smacked her lips. And she cut me off when I was talking directly to her. She was annoyed I was asking a question regarding a peanut allergy that my toddler son has. To me and many others there is no excuse for such bad behavior, especially when it's the safety of a child. I will never step foot back in the store. Even the sweet clerk that witnessed this woman's behavior that was her boss and "ran that department" apologized for her bad behavior and lack of professionalism. I am writing a formal complaint to Vons Corp and plan on telling others how I was treated. Food allergies are common and the fact of the matter it was her job, especially as the manager to have the patience and courtesy to answer questions and be a professional. I would highly not recommend going in to this store!!! read more

This review is for the bakery. They were so friendly and helpful in creating my daughter's birthday cake. The chocolate and white cake were very moist. The butter cream frosting is really sweet but hey what's a birthday party without super sweet frosting to keep the kids on a sugar high? :) But everyone at the party really enjoyed the cake. And the cake decorator did such an amazing job. I received a lot of compliments on the Sesame St. design and also had a matching baby block cake that was the cutest ever. By the way, the cake was so affordable. A quarter sheet with decoration and toys on top of if was only $20.99 + tax! I will definitely be coming back for my future cake needs. read more

This store feels the need to treat customers like thieves, which doesn't seem to be a problem for most but it bothers me. I place one of the packages of sodas on the check-out belt and leave the duplicates in the basket. I try to remember to put the one on the belt first so I can tell them how many I have in total before they have the chance to insinuate that I am trying to steal the others. Today, however, I forgot. The first words from the girl bagging groceries was "She has three cartons of soda on the bottom of the basket. Oh, and there is one on there with her groceries." Well, duh. Then the cashier asked what I had in the bakery bag; I told him two sandwich rolls, but he opened the bag and said, "I count three." Oh my goodness. Are you for real? I repeated that there were only two and he said he was just "joking." I told him it wasn't funny and that I didn't appreciate being made to feel like a thief. To which he responded in his "joking" way--"Okay Killer!" Well, Drew, you certainly qualify for employee of the month. Employee of the month for Save Mart where I will be shopping in the future. read more
