I went to Blue Fig farms because the internet thought they might have British food. I guessed that…read moreingredients for Indian cookery is what they specialize in so there could be cross overs. I keep reading about how brown sauce is a staple on every table in the UK. HP Sauce is the main brand. I stopped in on afternoon Saturday the 7th. First impression was similar to the Asia market on White Lane, maybe less cluttered, more like a small supermarket. Walking the isles I didn't see it. To make sure I asked a stock clerk. He was friendly, hadn't heard of HP Sauce but walked me to where it might be. No luck. I didn't want to leave empty handed so brought an apple soda in a clear plastic can shaped like an aluminum can up to the register. I guess they took those earlier negative reviews to heart. The cashier, a man in his 40s or 50s, was so friendly. Joking with me in a dad joke way then gifting me a little morsel on my way out. I'm sure no one else gets treats, I was wearing my cervical collar, pretty sad looking. They have a lot of different foods there. Great produce. Just don't count on finding much British food.

You can get a quick meal to go, which I haven't done yet but am looking forward to. The aromas are Devine. The staff has always been friendly and helpful to me. They have a small but excellent meat department. I noticed that they have very reasonable prices and the lamb is especially affordable compared to other markets. They have a vast array of what are exotic groceries compared to other markets. I love to just peruse the isles when I'm there. I wish they had cooking classes. It would be interesting to learn how to use ingredients I'm not familiar with. I highly suggest a visit. You won't be disappointed.

WinCo Foods, for the people, by the people…read more This location is great and is a true mirror of the community in which it sits. The service and convenience have only been amplified by their recent system upgrades, allowing customers to pay via tap to pay, Apple Pay and other methods. (They don't accept credit cards but that's ok). WinCo promises great prices that are only surpassed by greater customer service. On Saturday nights the vibe in the store is giving 5am Black Friday at Best Buy. But this location is open 24hrs a day. So at 5:30am on any given week day, the atmosphere is very calm, relaxed, almost peaceful! Morning regulars come in and greet cashiers who have been seeing their faces for years. This is not a sprouts, this is not a Whole Foods, it's not an Albertsons or a Publix. This is WinCo, your "local" grocery store.

Plus you can make or grind your own peanut butter which is nice. Anyways I got to the register and I noticed the cashier talking to the customer in front of me. When it came to my turn she asked if it was ok to scan a buy a drink for herself since her mouth is dry. I said of course no worries, she proceeded to talk to me about the store and the coupons and how she enjoys working at Winco. I asked her how long she had been employed since spike very highly of the store and the prices. She said 6 months I said I can tell you love what you do. Melanie was her name very nice friendly cashier. I just wanted to say Thank you I had a rough day today and just speaking to you. You made my day a little special.
