Meet the Business Owner: The 'Talented Tom' von Strong v.
A military brat by birth; travel, patriotism, and respectful service were a normal part of daily life. Growing up spending 9 year in the European theater, sacrifice and learning how to make friends were all essential survival skills. It also allowed Tom to discover the world of magic from an early age. Reading every book that he could get his hands on and sacrificing found household items to create his own props. His first magic wand was created from the wooden cross arm untangled from the wire supports of an old wooden hanger. A gifted child in elementary school, he took GATE classes to keep him engaged. In high school, he was a bit of a thespian, lettering in Choir and in Drama. He has a D.D. and a Ph.D. in Theology. Many people do not realize it, but Children's Magic started in the United States as a teaching tool for ministers to engage the children while they taught them Biblical lessons. Tom is happily married with four children, living in Vacaville, California.
