I saw The Bubble Lady at the Mill Valley Community Center. I was very impressed with her ability to entertain her young audience and the adults in the audience. The show is a well rounded mix of bubble tricks, music, comedy, and audience participation. We have had the opportunity to have The Bubble Lady at our preschool a few times now. The show is always interactive, funny and well put together. In fact- it's entertaining to both adults and children. Unfortunately this performer doesn't always speak to the children appropriately or have much patience for them at all. Beat birthday ever! We had 11 kids ages 2-8 and every one (and each adult!) was riveted by her performance. She was so funny and was able to keep the kids engaged for the entire show. She showed up early and found the perfect spot in our yard to set up. She was so professional and entertaining- one of our guests got her information for her own daughter's upcoming parties. Just had The Bubble Lady for my one year old's party this past weekend. She was amazing! Kids loved her and were soooo engaged. I had a group that ranged from 1 - 10 and they were all very entertained. Even the adults were oooh'ing and aaaahing. She's really good with keeping the kids in control - even the hyper ones 3. She involves all the kids Kids are used to the magicians/clowns/characters and they really get excited by the show. Rebecca was beyond awesome!! We had about 20 kids and at least 20 adults and she entertained all 40 - not kidding. The bubble art kept the kids enthralled and the jokes kept the adults laughing too. Everyone was just rooted to their spot - well not exactly, because the kids kept popping up like whack-a-mole :D to touch the bubbles - but she kept them in check! There is a magnificent end to her show - left everyone wanting even more. We hired The Bubble Lady for our church yesterday and she did an amazing job! We had preschoolers to fifth graders. Some adults stayed for the show. EVERYONE enjoyed every single minute of it. Last weekend we invited her for our Twins 3rd Birthday Party. They loved the show, she is awesome. Very nice performance, very energetic with kids. I really did not want to do this review, and absent what I learned today, I probably wouldn't have. We booked bubble lady for a show on 1/13/18. She arrived promptly and was ready to go at the proper time. We had 35 kids ages 4-7. She had great music and started off with a few silly jokes. And then it all went bad... she yelled at some parents who were talking( I understand background noises make it hard for her, however I'm sure there was a more gentle and calm way of handling this). She would aggressively yell at several kids if they dared to get off the floor and try to touch a bubble. There was a lot of " no no" and " stop it"... again, I get it. It's a bubble show. Bubbles pop, but when dealing with kids, you have to have a gentle touch. She would physically remove them from the floor and re route them to another pathway. A lot of the tricks didn't work. She blamed it on not enough water or too much sweat, and would give up after several tries. The icing on the cake is when she used her foot to move a 2 year old child who was crawling toward her. I couldn't believe it. Today my 7 year old told me she didn't like her, she was mean and yelled at them. She was expensive and the show was not memorable. I'm hopeful she had a bad day and this was the reason for the hostile behavior. Just something to keep in mind. I still payed and tipped her. But, FYI. read more
