My only complaint is that the tables sit a little too high, which can partially block the screen when you're fully reclined. The wraparound screen is a really unique feature and creates an immersive viewing experience. It made the Spider-Man movie we saw even more exciting. There was a great variety of snacks available. The pretzel bites and popcorn were both delicious, while the fries were a bit greasy and undercooked. Overall, we had a fun experience and would definitely come back for another movie.

Nothing fancy about it, but the auditorium seats are comfortable and in good condition, and views are great from any seat in the house since it's such an intimate space. I was surprised that the orchestra wasn't hidden below, like at a lot of other theaters, but it was great to see them perform live during the show. Lots of wind instruments, including the flute, clarinet, and trumpet, along with sounds of the violin, organ, and percussion equipment. The show started about ten minutes after the listed ticket time. The three films shown were enjoyable, especially with the orchestra doing an impressive job. Sound and picture quality were ideal. Buster Keaton had me thoroughly entertained in two of the films shown, "The Scarecrow" and "One Week". And Charlie Chaplin was delightful to watch as usual, in "The Rink", with the iconic actor in hilarious scenes at the roller rink, which I found even more amusing cuz I had just come from the skating rink myself (and had witnessed a good amount of crashing and tumbling) prior to attending this film fest. There's a lot to love about this place. Not to mention, they serve yummy milkshakes at the concessions stand. Bonus points for that!

The single home developments are new while the other buildings are from renovated base structures. They still have some original buildings boarded up and awaiting that special renovation touch of love. The base was designed with an eclectic Spanish design theme. The base was opened in 1935 and was decommissioned in 1974. The tarmac and air runways was built over wetlands that neighbor San Pablo Bay. The wetlands are back, the Hamilton Field Bay walking trail is built between the wetlands and the community. Public access to the trail is in the back parking lot of the Landing Office Complex. The Landing Office Complex are hangars have been converted to private high tech office buildings. The facade of the hangars were kept. One of the air towers was kept and renovated as well. It serves as a glass architectural piece to the building. There is no public access. But viewable from the outside. Hamilton Field History Museum is located in the prior base fire station. The museum is free but has limited hours. The Marin Museum of Contemporary Art (MMOCA) is located in the prior base headquarter 500 building. There is an admission fee. The Community Center is also located in the base headquarters building next to the MMOCA. If you are in the area, visiting the museums or exploring the wetland trail may interest you.
