I called several other places, one of which charged a travel fee because they were coming from the Southbay; another one was ridiculously expensive, and the third did not have anybody working during this time. I was very impressed with Adriana as Elsa. This was a gig at a yacht club party, and involved riding on a boat. The kids loved seeing Elsa come on the boat, and they swarmed her more so than Santa Claus. I would recommend Adrionna for her services anytime. read more

She kept in character the whole party and is very well versed in all things Ariel. She even managed to smoothly answer some pretty specific questions about Ariel and her personal life from curious guests (ie. who is Ariel's mother?). Unlike all other yelp reviews I had a bad experience with Fire Pixie! Sad, cause I had picked them because of their high ratings! So my son had a Mario theme birthday and the guy who came was Owen. Unfortunately Owen did not entertain or engage the kids at all. No fun games were played and the only fun activity was the 15 min balloons right at the very end. I don't know what it was but we were pretty bummed cause it cost us $200 for an hour and we were expecting someone to be able to bring life to the character of Mario! And that never happened !! We had a princess and a pirate (in serial, not parallel) for my daughter's 4th birthday party. My mom watched my daughter while we got ready for the party. So, Aurora (aka Erin) was there when my daughter arrived at the house. My daughter was completely star struck. In fact, all of the kids were thrilled. The Princess was a crazy good impersonation of Aurora --right down to the princess tiara and embroidered skirt. She painted the kids faces as they arrived --she's fast and really talented. Her balloon animals were a big hit. And, she was nice enough to surreptitiously leave one behind for Sarah up high, where she could enjoy it after the party. We did lunch and cake sans entertainment. Then, the pirate girl (Lanie) arrived. Lanie was the star of the show. She played duck-duck-goose in the jumper with the kids. Then, she made them all balloon swords and wands and had a Princess & Pirate sword fight. The waiting line for balloon swords was so crazy, that she wrote numbers on the kids' hands to note their place in line. Great solution to the mob scene. She was a big kid --and the kids loved her. One point of advice: If you have little kids, ask Fire Pixie to leave the black face paint color at home. Every other color came off quickly and easily, but the black was insidiously hard to get off of my daughter's face. read more

I needed something HOT for a recent corporate event and when my coworker proposed fire dancers, I knew I had to have it! We hired Fire Pixie to put on a 30 min performance for 100+ clients and they definitely delivered. For 30 minutes there was acrobatics, fire breathing, fire eating, group fire stunting, and of course... tons of crowd interaction. A few daring (or drunk) party attendees had the chance to hold fire in the palm of their hand and one person actually ate fire. I wasn't too worried about client burn injuries because Fire Pixie has their own insurance and fire marshall on standby- which is always a good thing when fire & alcohol combine. We had Erin dressed as a Train Engineer for our 3 year old son's B'Day party. We had about 18 children from 2 years to 8 years. Erin showed up right on time and was about to delight all the kids. All the kids were really entertained for the entire 1.5 hours and my son was definitely feeling very special during the party. Erin started off with a magic show to get the kids involved, followed up with some dancing and bubbles and then spent quite a bit of time with face painting. This is FIRE Pixie! Clearly from the other reviews, Erin does a great children's show. However, our event was an all-adult Circus birthday, where Erin and crew provided a (slightly suggestive) erotic FIRE performance. They were marvelous! Acrobatic moves with FIRE, Hula Hoop with FIRE, a little juggling FIRE, holding, eating, sharing FIRE. The show was nearly a half hour, and the fifty guests were just breathless. They had great crowd interaction, and even taught a few (Me!) to hold and eat glowing red stuff. Amazing! Our home is in a densely vegetated area, with wildfire concerns. Erin brings a safety crew person, who is alert, aware and knows where all the safety equipment is located. She stationed herself prominently under the over-hanging oak. This past Saturday I hired the Mad Hatter (Andrew) and Alice (Naomi) for my daughters 1st birthday party. They were excellent. They were on time and even stuck around 5-10 min later so the children Naomi called her "Fairy Princesses" could get pictures. Additionally, although my daughter is only 1 and will remember none of this party they still tried to include her by making her 2 balloon twists in a flower and butterfly and painted her face with a beautiful little butterfly. Some were shy and she did an awesome job making them comfortable. I only signed her up for a couple of activities (balloon tiwsting and face painting) but since some kids didn't show she had a lot more time to be extra attentive to face painting. And she even twisted balloons for some of the adults. Some parents even tried to test her skills by requesting the most random things... and yes, she made the Starship Enterprise, which impressed a lot of the dads. I have a son and a daughter that are a year apart, I'm not sure if they have any characters that are more "boy-like". I hired this place for a Halloween party at an apartment complex a year back. There was a tight budget and I had very specific requests. The theme for the party was wizard/witches lair and I wanted magician to fit with the theme. Erin from the agency worked with me and set me up with Elaena, our "magical witch" who did a short magic show in the beginning and later make animal balloons. At first, the agency didn't have any witch costumes, but they were more than happy to accommodate with my intentions. The kids were every engaged with the act and Elaena was patient and kind with them. Not to mention she was prompt and worked well under pressure (I think there were 40 kids or so). Communication was also very clear and fast so a lot was accomplished through email and within a week, I think. Some discrepancies here and there, but were quickly resolved. I'd definitely recommend this agency for other children's activity. I believe they even do other fabulous acts, like face painting. With their ability to accommodate to my particular party, I'm sure they can do a whole lot more if you have any crazy ideas in mind. read more

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this service is. We had a princess party for my 3 year old and Patrice was AMAZING with the group. She arrived early, was pretty in pink in her Sleeping Beauty costume, did a quick story and then it was on to the face paints. She changed the plans on-the-fly to accomodate for the group dynamics, which were not what we had anticipated (some of the kids were not into the face painting but wanted it on their arms and hands instead). She was totally prepared with a magic show (I didn't request this). The magic show actually kept the parents entertained, too...they were trying to catch every slight-of-hand she did....they were delighted to find that they missed several of her tricks! Then she moved on to balloon twisting. I have seen better balloon artists, but she gave everyone what they wanted, all the kids were happy, and that's what mattered. The kids all loved the bubbles (I thought they'd be bored with them, especially the older kids, but she made boring bubbles magical somehow!). Then it was tattoo time and cake time, and by the end, everyone was so impressed and thrilled that several parents asked me if they could tip Patrice, and all of them wanted her business card.
