I can't give ZERO stars because that's what this company gave me. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I booked a Spiderman character back in Feb/March, early enough to get things planned for my son's birthday party for end of April. Fast forward to the day of the party and noticed that our ordered character was 15 minutes late. I contacted SMFX for spideman's whereabouts because our little ones were getting restless. I get a return call from SMFX saying that Spiderman OVERLOOKED his schedule and will be at our event in 30 minutes. My son's party was in a time specific reserved space and by the time Spiderman arrives, he would only have 10 minutes to entertain 25 4-5 year olds. I was then furious as I know this would break my son's heart. I told SMFX I want a refund and I will tell ALL the parents that attended our party to NEVER book with a flaky company. I should have trusted my gut and confirmed with SMFX the day before. They confirmed 4 days prior to the event and never confirmed the day before. SMFX kept on apologizing and there is no way to understand that trying to make up this moment with children is long gone. He wanted to enjoy a special character he admired with his friends and texting to give my son a private visit will not make up the moment you wasted. You had your moment to shine and you totally blew it. This is not a company to depend on for adding special glitter to your child's day. The problem occurred when at 2 hours he packed up to leave and I had confirmed with the owner Jose that his artist would be able to stay longer If needed. He assured me that it would be no problem. Day of, first balloon artist can't stay because it was never communicated to him that he would need to stay longer. So I contacted Jose during my Twins first birthday party to have him send someone else out, which he did. I appreciate the attempt to rectify but the new artist he sent was disheveled and looked as though he had literally just rolled out of bed not to mention that he brought lady with him that attended the party as if she were a guest and not a professional and there was no reason for her to be there. Jose has done nothing to try and rectify the horrible experience that he cause with his not communicating with his staff. I'd be weary of using this place. read more

I hired this company to produce Spider-Man and Wonder Woman for my son's superhero party. The WW character showed up wearing half of a WW costume and half super girl. NOT what I asked for! I also requested a brunette and she was a blonde. The costume had no head piece and was thrown together. Spider-Man, my main attraction piece, my son's favorite character stood there like a lump on a log. He only said a few words the entire hour they were there, and he had no energy. No enthusiasm. My quests and I were so disappointed. The advertisement shows him running around being the superhero that the kids know him to be. He was not that at all. I paid a total of $250.
