The pricing on Sacramento Balloon Co.'s website seemed really reasonable for renting a tank compared to the pricing of buying a highly rated helium tank online. I called Sacramento Balloon Co. to reserve a helium tank and the phone was answered really quickly. It was a quick call in which my questions were answered about sizing of the tanks and my tank was reserved for pick up the day before the party. On day of pick-up, I arrived on time and conveniently parked in the lot right in front of the business. I walked in and was greeted shortly thereafter by the same man who I believe I talked to on the phone. The store has various styles balloons for sale and a small selection of party items as well. My helium tank was ready for me by the register and I was quickly but thoroughly shown how to use the helium tank and recommended to lay it down on the car floor board while transporting it. We also talked about the types of balloons I was planning on filling up and learned a couple things about balloons during the process. I paid for the tank rental (including a refundable charge) and was on my way. The day of the party, the tank worked as expected and everything went smoothly! I dropped the tank off exactly one week after picking it up. At this time I was refunded the refundable charge for dropping it off. Overall, great service, convenient, friendly, knowledgeable, and great value! I'll definitely rent helium tanks from Sacramento Balloon Co. in the future and will use them for all of my balloon needs too.

We did, however, encounter communication mishaps such as delayed responses and some confusion and part of it was my mistake as I still haven't updated my Yelp account to my current legal name. We got that straightened out but communication still didn't improve much. I understand we're all busy (especially their weekends) but I wanted all the details and planning squared away ahead of the event to get it out of the way. It was anxiety-inducing for me. He is talented and professional. He was a pleasure both on the booking and coordination side, as well as on the entertaining end as well. He arrived early and stayed late. Most importantly, he is really great with the kids, so it was not surprising to learn that he deals with kids all day at his usual 9-5. He did a great job organizing the kids by assigning them numbers, so they didnt have to wait in a line, especially since every piece he created took some time to do. On the talent side, he cares about his craft and definitely doesnt mail it in. For example, the simple balloon sword was a very study helix blade and he even made a balloon belt holder for the kids as well! He also had some pretty creative suggestions for kids that couldnt decide on what they wanted, like a jet pack. Initially, we tried to book a company a friend had recommended, but they were already taken. I searched online and reached out to six other balloon artists. Carolyn was one of four who responded, and not only was she available, but her pricing was much more reasonable than the others. Carolyn arrived on time and brought such a fun, professional energy to the party. There were eight children and one adult who all received multiple balloon creations--about four or five each! What amazed me most was that she didn't need a reference photo. The children would just say "penguin" or "dinosaur" or even "robot," and she'd make it come to life on the spot--quickly and impressively. She was patient, incredibly efficient, and even stayed a little past her scheduled time to make sure no child left empty-handed. You can really tell she enjoys what she does, and it shows in her interactions with the kids and the creativity in her work. The kids were thrilled, and honestly, the adults were too!
