David Gerard is PHENOMENAL!!! Hired him for a hybrid work event (40 in the room and 100+ virtual). The team is still talking about him and his incredible performance. David is funny, magical, and mind-blowing. I will definitely hire him again. Thank you for making my event memorable!!! read more

David was freaking epic! Hired him for a party at home for my wife's birthday. He blew everyone's minds. Its been a week and we still cant stop talking about his unbelievable mind reading and magic. David was such a fantastic performer. Along with the mind-reading/magic, he was hilarious and quick witted as he interacted with the crowd. What a great add for any party at home! After his show he even did another 20+ mins of close-up magic and mindblowing card tricks. honestly, still so amazed... we are already trying to figure out the next opportunity to work with David! And definitely going to check out one of his shows in SF. Thanks so much, David! You are freaking awesome!! read more

We had the pleasure to see David perform for a third time, ( can you tell I am a big fan?) but this time in a small, intimate setting with a dozen people. It was really special to see his magic, close up. Even in a small setting, I was still amazed at his talent. He truly is one of the most gifted, affable, charming, funny performers I've ever seen. If you ever are looking for an amazing magician/ mentalist for a small or large group, look no further than David. He's the best! read more

David was hired for a birthday party for my wife in September. We had over a 100 guests and they were all amazed with his skill and talent. You could not ask for a more professional performance from David. He went table to table in small groups and did close up magic with my guests and blew their minds. I will definitely hire David again and after his show I consider him a friend David thank you again for making our party an unforgettable experience Steve Pelle read more

AMAZING PERFORMANCE! I hired David to do an hour of magic for my husband's birthday. All I can say is wow! He is extremely talented and master of his craft. He made the night very special and our guests kept talking about his performance for hours after the show. His mind-reading tricks were particularly impressive. Not only his performance was mind boggling, but he is also very humorous! Moreover, he was very professional and very polite to myself and our guests. I would 100% recommend David Gerard to anyone who is looking to hire a truly talented magician. read more

AMAZING! We had so much fun at our party with him. We were all mind blown by the tricks

Smooth as butter. Charming like a Prince. Funnier than Chris Rock. And MIND READING that will blow you away! This is straight up America's Got Talent quality. We recently held a Lunar New Year party for 90 in Los Altos and invited David to be our main entertainer. We've done this party for 4 years straight and 100% of the guests who come each year said this was THE BEST and hard to top in 2019. We were running about 30 minutes behind schedule and he wasn't stressed about a thing. David is a pleasure to work with. The only complaint I heard was when my guest's wife said she wanted to take him home. The husband was not too excited about that. Lol. Thank you David!!! read more

David Gerard - David Gerard makes magic and makes us laugh! - Magicians Near Me

My team and I recently organized a lovely dinner for some of our clients and prospects in San Francisco (group size ~30). To add a fun little surprise for our guests, we wanted to slot in time for a mentalist at our dinner. David Gerard was the first to pop up during my online research and I am so happy we went locked him in for our dinner. Our guests were blown away by his acts! My VP was super happy with the turnout. David is a super professional guy with great energy! He takes the time to make sure the location and crowd is just right. I definitely recommend him and will keep him in mind for future opportunities. read more

David Gerard - David doing his thing at EPIC Steak Restaurant - Magicians Near Me

Just watched his show with my wife at Piano Fight. This guy has a sharp wit, has fantastic stage presence, and seems like an incredibly dedicated pro. The mind-reading tricks have my wife and I scratching our heads. Some of the card tricks were mind blowing as well. My wife is not a fan of magic or of audience participation. Despite this being a magic show where she was asked to participate, she loved it and wants to see another show of David's later this year. That's a mind blowing result! read more

How did he do that?? David Gerard was amazing! He recently performed at my son's Bar Mitzvah and everyone was blown away. Not only did he perform up-close magic for small groups of guests for over an hour, but he then had a 20 minute show for all guests, kids and adults, that had everyone engaged and laughing! Highly recommend for your next party! read more

Jedi mind tricks. During dinner, following David Gerard's show, and still on the ride back home this is what I sounded like: "Do you think he really read my mind?" "How'd he know to ask THAT question?" "He couldn't possibly have read my mind...could he?" "I can't figure out how he did that. It was folded up inside an envelope I sealed myself" "Is mind reading a real thing? I don't know how he did that..." You get the gist. David Gerard performs his 90-minute show, "Magic and Mind Reading From David Gerard" twice each month at Piano Fight, a Tenderloin club. The club is exceedingly hot inside but you can bring your cocktails in with you. I suggest you do; the show is fun without them but the temperature? Not so much. The show is lively and funny without a dull moment. There's no time to really think about how David is doing any of the stuff he does but when you have the time you'll still have no clue. Audience members are used throughout the show and I didn't think, for a single moment, that any had been planted. Late in the show though, I was one of those participants and - OH WOW! I had believed everything until then but suddenly, when it's you whose mind is supposedly being read, it flips the script and stuns you in new ways that you can't fathom. If you get the chance to participate in anything David is doing, do so. Mind officially blown. This show is right in length, moves fast, and is really well priced if you get your tickets discounted, via Goldstar ($12.50 + service fee). Go. You'll have fun. * Regularly priced tickets run $25. * David can also be hired for parties and corporate events. As someone who has attended many corporate events I think that this would probably be amongst the best. If you book these things, consider him. * There were older kids in the audience on the night I attended. David was sensitive to their presence and creatively kept the show entertaining and appropriate regardless of any compromises he might have had to make. He's clearly a well-practiced showman. read more

HOW DOES HE DO IT??!?! My brother took me to see David Gerard last night (it was his third time) and I am STILL thinking about the show. It was one of the most entertaining, hilarious, and mesmerizing things I've ever witnessed. I have been racking my brain all day trying to figure out how he is able to read people's minds. It is worth every penny to see David perform, and I will absolutely be taking friends to the next one. I haven't laughed that hard in ages. He has taken blown the mind of a hardcore skeptic. read more

We had David perform at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Breath of Life Gala at the Four Seasons in San Francisco and he was outstanding. He even tied in our fundraising mission to his show which is very nice. He really added value and a great experience for our guests. Highly recommend! Very easy to work with as well. Thank you for the great show. read more

He is a MUST SEE! I grew up obsessed with magic. It created a burning desire in me to understand the explained. I credit that with my success as an Artificial Intelligence entrepreneur. I have traveled all over the world (Vegas, Cruises, International) and seen the biggest name magicians (Chris Angel, David Blaine, David Copperfield, Pen & Teller). David Gerard put on hands down the most impressive magic show I've ever seen. His ability to think in his feet and perform in impossible situations is like nothing I've ever seen. read more

I've seen David work in multiple venues and setting and am a big fan. David is of the most amazing magician and mentalist in the world. Catch this act before it disappears! read more

David Gerard - For the last 15 years, I've made it a point to see one new act a month. David Gerard is truly among the greats. - Magicians Near Me

David is total pro. He blew us away and commanded the stage (ok, our backyard deck) for over one hour, dazzling 55 guests with mental magic. I would hire him again in a heartbeat, especially since we are all still trying to figure out how he does it. read more

Decided to come back 2 years later and so glad we did! Not sure how often David updates his show but we had some friends see him a couple of months back and sounded different to when we went so bought tickets to see him again. Nothing has changed - David is still putting on an amazing show. Funny, engaging, great magic & mind reading. If I could give more stars I would! GO SEE HIM NOW! read more

We were very fortunate to host David Gerard for an evening at our private club. Our members had an absolute blast! Not only were they amazed, but they laughed and smiled the night away. Especially wonderful to witness after a year of lockdown. Our members will remember this event for a long time! read more

I saw David Gerard yesterday and in all honesty he is one of the best magicians I've ever seen. He was amazing and I recommend anyone who loves magic to go out and see him. Besides just doing 'tricks' he is very charming, plays off the audience well and builds an interesting narrative with his work. He deserves to be up there with the 'superstars' of magic like Penn & Teller, David Copperfield and Chris Angel, he's that great of a performer. read more

David was more than the icing on the cake for our annual holiday party. Each time I saw him interacting with a group of guests he had them cheering, hooting, laughing, oooohing and awing! He is hands down the most talented magician I have ever seen. Aside from that, his commentary is brilliant and he's sharp as a whip. He's a total pro when it comes to entertaining and performing. Can't wait to have him at our next event!! read more

David Gerard is top notch! Had the privilege of watching David interact with the guests at our office party this past weekend. Watching and feeling silver dollar coins disappear through hands was outstanding. Now keep in mind that I skeptically can usually guess and/or figure out 99% of magicians secrets including most of those Americas got talent etc. When we all gathered together at the company party for the full magic show it was non-stop sheer entertainment! David has the stellar balance of professionalism, humor, sarcasm, and showmanship!! The grand finale was outstanding!!! There's no surprise that David has an average of 5 Star Yelp reviews. I would strongly recommend David for your entertainment needs. You don't even have to like magic to enjoy being a part of his spectacular show. Thanks David. read more

I've heard of David before ever seeing his craft. Earlier this year, I was at a birthday party and this dapper guy comes over to our table and did the most amazing card tricks. It turns out he was the same magician my friends were raving about from a birthday party last year. Recently, I saw his new show at PianoFight and it was brilliant! It's part personal storytelling, part unbelievable illusions, part mind reading and fully mind blowing. His comedic timing and engagement with the audience makes for a truly unique evening for any magic lover or skeptic. Shout out to PianoFight for hosting super original and accessible entertainment like David Gerard's modern magic show! I suggest seeing the show, grabbing a drink, then going around the corner to Pandora for karaoke! :) read more

I don't have enough stars to give David's review. He's that good! WOW!!!! We had the absolute joy of hosting David for Deserve's company holiday party. I was skeptical at first about hiring a magician for a holiday party, but, boy was I proven wrong! David absolutely made the evening a hit for all of our guests. Not only was his magic on point (and fooled the best of us!), but David was also clearly a master of engaging the crowd and keeping everyone very well entertained. 100/10, A+++, would definitely recommend. read more

He's a WITCH, I swear. A very funny, charming, entertaining witch who READS MINDS OMGGG. I remember him from a Yelp party a few years ago -- he blew my mind! His "Signs" show at PianoFight is unlike any magic show I've ever seen. Poignant, personal but also omgg crazy fucking HOW DID HE DO THAT OMG HE'S IN OUR HEADS mind reading. So good. read more

I'd seen David perform at a company holiday party a few years back and it took one trick to get me hooked. (As a side note - his weekly performances at Piano Fight are equally as entrancing :) So it was an easy choice to hire him to come perform for my new team. And this guy does not disappoint - he came prepped with new tricks for a new season, which honestly just get better and better. I've never heard people literally SHRIEK with amazement at a magic trick, but that's just how good he is. 100P would recommend. read more

Our company went to see David perform at The Speakeasy. The whole experience was terrific. The magic was gasp-inducing, and it was very interactive - probably 30-40 of our ~60 attendees participated in the performance at some point. David has great stage presence - he's witty, smooth, and his magic was fun to watch. I'd love to see him perform again. read more

From the moment I reached out to David for my company's annual team event, he was really relaxed and easy to work with. We confirmed dates and he showed up to pur venue in Santa Cruz nice and early. I also had told David that we have a team of hard to entertain folks but he did an amazing job with them! Kept us laughing the entire time and not one person was not impressed by his show. Amazing show! read more

Six stars. Seven stars. Eight stars. Take all my money. Since watching a Netflix special on magic I've been wanting to go see a live magic show. This is not your cheesy traditional shows where they cut your body in half. There's no outrageous physical tricks or crazy fire. This is true simple mindreading magic that will leave your jaw dropped and saying WTF outloud. There's a LOT of audience participation so be ready to be called. If you are shy don't worry. It's all in good fun and he jokes with everyone. I was called for one of his tricks and I was mind blown. I left the show still confused and I'm still trying to figure everything out. What happened? HUH?! HOW?! I cannot rave enough about seeing his show. He's currently at PianoFight. There are discounted tickets on Goldstar. The only downside is that the show is in a very dirty and perhaps scary part of SF (tenderloin). I strongly advise taking a lyft with your girlfriends at night. I did not feel safe walking in the area at night. Book him at your private events. Don't hesitate! He's funny, charming, and dare I say again...mind blowing. read more

David was a fantastic performer at our annual holiday party which is why we keep bringing him back. He knows how to work the room and intermingle with all types of people and is highly entertaining. read more

Very interesting 1.5 hours blend of mind trick, magic and humor. The skeptics in us are still scratching our head. How did he *bleep* that *bleep* in the *bleep*?!? My boyfriend was certainly influenced. He currently has a mission to constantly read my mind. He reaches a conclusion that I am lying to myself and he really, really knows what I really am thinking. Gee, thanks David. (If he really read my mind, he'd show up on my door in 007 suit with Belgian chocolate, fried chicken, and carne asada burrito; the usual girl stuff). There are lots of audience participation, even if you are seated on the very back. Be ready to be picked, be ready to question your mind, be ready to be entertained! read more

I don't think you can spend a better $25 in S.F.than for David Gerard's 90-minute show. It was thoroughly entertaining and mind-bending from the first minute to the last -- with gentle but very 2017 humor (barely-PG rated) throughout. My 14-year-old and I both had a blast. Just as important, it's crystal clear David cares about delivering for his audience. That's not a given in sophisticated S.F. No edgier-than-thou stuff here. Just come and enjoy the evening, including any participation you end up pulled into! The only downside is the awful locale; PianoFight is not very welcoming in many respects, and in a *very* hairy area replete with people walking pit bulls by day and addicts trolling street corners by night. Closest real parking lot is several blocks away. Not sure why this huge talent is playing this spot, given his rave reviews from private performances. His show is intimate and heavily audience-involved (all part of its charm), but there are plenty of nicer small theaters in S.F.! read more

I recently hired David to come to my company's holiday party and he wowed the crowd all night long. I hadn't met him until partially into the evening and I finally saw his magic live, I was blown away. I seriously still am stumped at some of the tricks he did. I'd definitely hire him again for another event if the theme fit. David was so energetic and eager to please everyone and everyone was ranting and raving "did you see the MAGICIAN?!" I'd love to see him do a live show for an audience but maybe that's for next time! read more

So awed and delighted by the evening. The venue was intimate, David was charming, funny and of course, the magic blows your mind. I had the best cocktail I've had in a long time made by the bartender - and I usually have very nice cocktails. Such a fun night out, great vibe. Sure to entertain and restore some magic into your life. read more

I hired David for a private event at my home and I still can't get over how good he was. My husband loves magic and he was so excited. He said it was some of the best magic he's ever seen. Several skeptics amongst my crew tried to crack David, but he just kept on wow-ing. One trick after the next until everyone was a believer. David is also extremely funny and entertaining. He had my friends laughing, crying out in disbelief, and ultimately believing that David could read their minds. I'm pretty sure he can.... Could not give him a higher recommendation. He will take your event to the next level and nobody will be able to stop talking about it. Perfect for large or small events of all types. read more

Passionate magician, good sense of humor, fun even during audience control times. DG has excellent timing and some tricks span much of the whole show so pay attention early because some things that seem over are only just beginning! Enjoy! read more

Recently hired David for a private engagement and was very pleased. He was easy to coordinate with and provided an entertaining and humorous performance that lasted about an hour. I hired David for a private birthday party and he totally rocked it. My party was for 3 generations and it takes a special talent to entertain all ages at once. He was fantastic. I am going to have to find his shows so I can go see him perform again. He was very accommodating to my schedule of events and worked the crowd so well. I had so many people come up to me and say "Why isn't this guy on America's Got Talent?" :) . Honestly, he's better than that! read more

The UCSF Memory and Aging Center hired David Gerard for our annual company retreat. Hands down the best entertainment we have had in years - could not be more pleased. It is really once in a blue moon you come across something so spell-binding, something that really taps into peoples' senses of wonder and amazement...so much so that it's a shame for the experience to go unshared! David's performance was a PERFECT fit for our audience - they loved the "psychological challenge." He was clever, energetic, and even improvised many company-tailored jokes along the way. An engaging performance that included participation from several audience members...he had our group of academics talking about the performance for DAYS afterwards. Riveting, magical, and masterful - he is a true professional (both on and off stage)! David Gerard was a delight to work with and he can officially add "baffling an auditorium of 150 neuroscientists" to his resume. I provide my highest recommendation. read more

I saw David on a Wednesday night with my boyfriend. The theatre we went to was PianoFight at 144 Taylor St., super small, very quant, loved the atmosphere. So about David. He is such an amazing Magician, super funny, quirky, and very honest. There were a lot of things that he did that blew my mind and made me think, how did he do that? And there were a few acts that he tried that didn't work out, which was completely fine with me because it made him seem more human, and real. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that asked. read more

It has been a month since David performed at our private party and we all STILL are talking about how Blown away we were by him! Not only was the magic the best I have ever seen (and I have been to a fair share of shows) he was a true gentleman and a professional. He performed for my birthday party and ensured he included each guest and even customized the tricks to make it personal for the group. He stayed after for some close up tricks because the group was so into it. I can't say it enough- JUST BOOK DAVID!! I promise it will be a night you will never forget.
