"How'd he know to ask THAT question?" "He couldn't possibly have read my mind...could he?" "I can't figure out how he did that. The club is exceedingly hot inside but you can bring your cocktails in with you. I suggest you do; the show is fun without them but the temperature? Not so much. The show is lively and funny without a dull moment. There's no time to really think about how David is doing any of the stuff he does but when you have the time you'll still have no clue. Audience members are used throughout the show and I didn't think, for a single moment, that any had been planted. Late in the show though, I was one of those participants and - OH WOW! I had believed everything until then but suddenly, when it's you whose mind is supposedly being read, it flips the script and stuns you in new ways that you can't fathom. If you get the chance to participate in anything David is doing, do so. Mind officially blown. This show is right in length, moves fast, and is really well priced if you get your tickets discounted, via Goldstar ($12.50 + service fee). Go. You'll have fun. * Regularly priced tickets run $25. * David can also be hired for parties and corporate events. As someone who has attended many corporate events I think that this would probably be amongst the best. If you book these things, consider him. * There were older kids in the audience on the night I attended. David was sensitive to their presence and creatively kept the show entertaining and appropriate regardless of any compromises he might have had to make. This is not your cheesy traditional shows where they cut your body in half. There's no outrageous physical tricks or crazy fire. This is true simple mindreading magic that will leave your jaw dropped and saying WTF outloud. There's a LOT of audience participation so be ready to be called. If you are shy don't worry. It's all in good fun and he jokes with everyone. I was called for one of his tricks and I was mind blown. I left the show still confused and I'm still trying to figure everything out. What happened? HUH?! HOW?! I cannot rave enough about seeing his show. He's currently at PianoFight. There are discounted tickets on Goldstar. The only downside is that the show is in a very dirty and perhaps scary part of SF (tenderloin). I strongly advise taking a lyft with your girlfriends at night. I did not feel safe walking in the area at night. Book him at your private events. Don't hesitate! He's funny, charming, and dare I say again...mind blowing. read more

I don't think you can spend a better $25 in S.F.than for David Gerard's 90-minute show. It was thoroughly entertaining and mind-bending from the first minute to the last -- with gentle but very 2017 humor (barely-PG rated) throughout. My 14-year-old and I both had a blast. Just as important, it's crystal clear David cares about delivering for his audience. That's not a given in sophisticated S.F. No edgier-than-thou stuff here. Just come and enjoy the evening, including any participation you end up pulled into! The only downside is the awful locale; PianoFight is not very welcoming in many respects, and in a *very* hairy area replete with people walking pit bulls by day and addicts trolling street corners by night. Closest real parking lot is several blocks away. Not sure why this huge talent is playing this spot, given his rave reviews from private performances. His show is intimate and heavily audience-involved (all part of its charm), but there are plenty of nicer small theaters in S.F.! read more
