We hired Michael for my daughter's 5th birthday party. We were all blown away by the way he kept the attention of 20 children ages 1-6 with his humorous and highly interactive magic show. Even the adults were engaged. Afterwards, he twisted a balloon creation for every child and the most special part was he made a Rumi (KPop demon hunters) balloon for my daughter as that was the party theme. (See photo) Michael charged $500 total including the deposit: 30 min magic show plus balloon twisting. We felt that was a reasonable price for the quality of the service and in line with other entertainment costs in the Bay Area market. He arrived early to set up and was extremely professional and clear in all of our phone and text communications. Hired Mike for our daughter's 6th birthday pool party. We spoke on the phone to go over the details for the event. That is 30 minutes magic show and the remaining half hour to 1 balloons twisting (depends on how many kids). The show went on for 45-50 mins, which dragged on way too long. I expressed that during the show, it would be time for the kids to eat. We provided him a shade area for his "stage". He sat there the entire time for his show, which was great the kids enjoyed it a lot, but they did not get to sit at their table to eat because he wanted them to pull the chairs surrounded him at the shade. He also demanded the kids must come to him after the show to get a balloon, but the pool was the main attraction and kids just wanted to head to the pool. I only noticed several out of the 18 kids went to get their balloons. I told Mike beforehand to make hello kitty for the birthday girl, none was made. I wish he would've understood that kids just wanted to swim and that he'd be thoughtful enough to just make the balloons anyway for each of them without requiring them to come to him to request. Fun show and very skillful with what characters he can do with balloons twisting. Just unfortunate that not much effort was put into trying to accommodate the balloons part. read more

We had Mr. Funnybone at our party today and he was FABULOUS! He is in a class by himself. The kids were laughing so hard and completely engaged. They were saying, "How did he DO that?" and looking at each other with their mouths open and just having the best time. The adults were entertained and amazed as well. I think he's decent but we got him on a day where he worked an entire day prior to coming over. I think there was a lot of 'fluff' for 7 year olds. They want to see the magic and the tricks, but there's a lot of joking around and the anticipation is a bit long. His balloons were definitely one of the best I've seen. He's very very good at it... What a great call to book Mr Funnybone for my daughters sixth birthday. Michael is a total pro and an absolutely wonderful clown, comedian and magician. I invited Michael to perform for around 25 six year olds and as many adults. Called him last minute and luckily he was available. Gave us a deal on two hours, which was even better. Plus this event was for a Western themed BBQ and he was able to dress up like a cowboy themed clown. =] He was great at working the room and going around making balloons for everyone. He was wonderful at conversing with everyone as he made the balloons, telling people about his adventures as a clown around the world. His balloon animals were awesome! His specialty was Disney balloons especially Mickey Mouse, which was adorable but my favorite would have to be the Pluto! He made other things as well like the rose in the bell jar from Beauty and the Beast, butterflies, bicycles, pikachus, and a bunch of other things. He was so quick at making all of them that when I take my eyes off for a second, I'm like how did he do that.... We had about 60 kids and Funnybone was incredible to keep all the kids engaged for the magic show and also he made balloons for each of the kids. Mr. Funnybone is awesome. We had him for our baby's first birthday party last week and our guests, young ones and adults, all enjoyed his performance. The first half of his show was devoted to balloon making for the kids. He made a Mickey Mouse balloon for our son. I uploaded the pic here just to show how well he made it. He also made a dinosaur, butterfly, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle just to name a few. I heard from one of our guests that he made a butterfly pop out of a larvae balloon. I didn't see this myself but based on the reactions from those who saw it, they were delighted. Overall, I think he made about 15-20 balloons that day. The second half of his show was a comedy magic show. The show was primarily geared for the kids but the adults who were watching were also greatly entertained. He performed about 4-5 tricks, a few of them with kids' participation. He sure could command an audience of young kids, which is tough to do when everyone just wants to go about doing their own thing. The kids were thrilled and excited with his tricks and laugh hardly at his jokes. Mr. Funnybone is also an easy going guy. Based on our experience, he is easy to transact with and reliable. We discuss the details over the phone, and everything that we agreed on (time, details of the show, pricing) happened the way things should be. I would give him six stars if I could. He exceeded our expectations and our guests are all delighted. Even one week later, we still hear how much fun they had on our party and how awesome he was. read more

Funnybone was amazing at my son's 5th birthday party. We had about 25 kids over and he entertained them (as well as their parents) for well over 30 minutes with his magic and then another 30+ minutes with balloon twisting. I couldn't believe what came out of his hands. The kids loved every minute. There were some kids who had me worried as they totally challenged the magic, but he had it covered and was in control!
