Fig Chili, Ginger-grape w/lemon and Honey Balsams, EVOw/basil and Ginger-sesame oil. Sooo good!!!

I am more familiar with the VomFass in Claremont Calif but since I moved I've missed going into the store and sampling the awesome combinations of oil and balsams they recommend. So glad they had a store that ships orders. Looking forward to using these great products. They also sell great spirits.

Expensive, but exquisite vinegars. Aceto, Calamansi and raspberry balsamic vinegars.

WOW!!!! I was blown away by the variety of highest quality standard and exotic vinegars, herbal spice blends, sea salts and oils that they offer samples of before you choose which ones that you want to purchase. I tried many before I finally narrowed it down to what my meager budget would allow presently. But oh how I wanted so much more! I could easily spend $500 in there! I wish that I had known years ago about Vom Fass shops and that they have locations in many other cities that I travel to. Their stores are heavenly for gourmet cooks! I walked out with a 100 ml bottle of the Aceto aged balsamic vinegar which is far better than what you will find at most any other store. I also got a 50 ml bottle of the incredible calamansi balsam vinegar that is made with brandy vinegar and 40% calamansi juice which is yellow and has a citrus sweet and sour taste that pairs well with seafood, cocktails and green or fruit salads. And I got a 50 ml bottle of the also incredible, best-I've-ever-had, Waldburg Star Forest Raspberry vinegar. I plan on going back to get some walnut oil to pair with the raspberry vinegar to make a dressing for the watercress salad that I love to make occasionally. I sprinkle toasted walnut pieces and currants into fresh watercress which is so addictive with a great raspberry/walnut oil and black pepper dressing! They also have a section of sea salts, another section with herbs and spices and another with flavored and plain olive oils. They had 2 sample plates out on a counter with 2 different spice/herb blends sprinkled into 2 different olive oils for you to dip small bread cubes into. Both Delish!! They offer their perfect herb/spice combinations in different size amounts to make it so much easier to make great dressings, rubs and dipping oils etc very quickly! Over to the left when you walk into their store you will see a selection of other oils like rose hip, black seed, apricot, coconut, hazelnut etc that I plan to go back for to use medicinally orally and for my hair or skin with added essential oils. For those of you that are into using gourmet, natural fruit syrups for exotic cocktail concoctions, they offer quite a few that would also be great mixed into sparkling water for a virgin refreshment. These would also be great to drizzle over ice cream or incorporate into dessert and chocolate recipes. And I imagine that these would be wonderful to finish a sauce after deglazing the pan for either duck, chicken, cornish hen, goose or pork recipes that would be complimented by the addition of a sweet fruity flavor. And if you need a great housewarming, birthday or Christmas gift, I would recommend their assortment packages, (of either small bottles of the vinegars, or oils, or both combined), that would be a great introduction to some of their most popular varieties that would be appreciated by anyone with an elevated palate. When you checkout you can elect to join their rewards program by providing them with your name, phone number and an email. You will also receive some great recipe ideas using their products. They also have some cards with a few recipes on them at the checkout counter.

    Jalapeño Olive Oil

I first came here for a yelp event and was excited to return to purchase their jalapeño olive oil. The employees working during my second visit were friendly and helpful. They answered my questions and assisted me in picking out a gift. They explained what options they have available and then filled the bottle I selected with tasty jalapeño olive oil. The writing on the bottle is pretty messy so I wish I had the option to write on the bottle myself, however, it's what's in the bottle that matters more. My visit was going well until I went to check out. There were two employees working. I stood in front of the counter ready to check out. Another customer walked up to I think return bottles and buy something. Rather than ringing up my item, the other customer was taken first (perhaps because she is a returning customer?). I moved out of the way and walked around to get in line behind her. It took a while for her to check out since they were trying to look up her account. Eventually the other employee stopped what she was doing and rang up my item so that I could leave. Unlike other speciality oil places, they do not offer to wrap up gift items for you. They are also pricier than other shops. However, their products are flavorful and good quality. Plus if you return the bottle, I believe you get a discount. Overall, it was a different experience than I expected, but I am a fan of their olive oils and vinegars.

My favorites are strawberry and tangerine, but my mom loves the peach and the chocolate flavors. I also treated myself to the picual olive oil for dipping bread and it's so fruity and fresh! Light years better than grocery store olive oil. The store has sample cups around for customers to try all the flavors. I recommend bringing a bottle of water because the vinegar does tend to dry out your throat a bit. They also have a customer loyalty punch card so you can get a free bottle, which is really fun.

Parking is problematic as the lot is diminutive so spots are at a premium. We lucked out... The shop is medium sized with 2 rooms and check out area. It houses 65+ Balsamic vinegars and Olive oils with varied flavor profiles; sweet, savory, sour, spicy, and everything in between. Our tour guide, one of the proprietors, was knowledgeable, but somewhat aloof. She prepared fresh popcorn and bread for tasting, and offered us fresh apple cider. The oils and vinegars are aged 12-18 years, depending on the product, and stored in fusti's. They sell them in several sizes, and allow for bundles at discounted prices. $7-$20 seemed to be the range. Tuscan oil is there most popular, and sweet balsamics are said to be great on salads/vanilla ice cream. Personally, I gravitated toward the oils with heat, and one in particular (peri peri), transported me back to my 12 year old self enjoying the above in Southern Africa. Thanks for the tour, and back to the future moment.

Jeff was prompt in refilling our beverages, and remembered the small details like a lime slice with the Diet Coke. The food was fantastic, the three of us shared everything. The only thing missing is a photo of the dessert, highly recommend the spumoni dessert - it features a table side marshmallow toast. So fun! Sat in 5-10min on a Friday night. Dillon did great with our service. Ordered the Regina Colletta pizza, and the brown butter ravioli also got the polpette and foccacia. Overall we were very impressed with this place, we ordered dishes that are harder to make, since we love to cook ourselves and they did an amazing. We'll be back for other staples for sure. Main critique I would say is the Pizza, we wouldn't order that flavor again but it was still very good. The balsamic isn't too strong. We just prefer simpler pizza and more well done. But the pizza we feel has the best value. Mushroom ravioli has amazing flavor, deep, rich, all working very well. However, We'll just order more classic dishes next time like the clam spaghetti, chicken parm, you can't go wrong here really.... All in all 9/10 experience, 4.5 starts if I could give that. Ambiance is cute and casual but chic because of the low lighting and the cleanliness. There are three levels of seating, tables, raised booths, and the bar tops. It's great bc it diffuses the noise. The business was packed that night but the noise level was still good enough to hold conversations. Servers and waitresses all look sharps And the place has an open kitchen. Since we love cooking we'll try to sit so we can see it next time. There's also A bar to the right side with a view of the skating rink. I cannot stress enough that the team is doing an amazing job. Obviously the cooks are amazing, the hostesses were so sweet and down to earth, and the servers knocked it out the park. Very memorable anniversary. Thanks Colletta Team!

We haven't tried many restaurants in Apex so I had to heard of Serafina Ristorante. The cocktails were just divine. I started with the No. 152, which has gin, strawberry-basil, lemon, and vermouth. What a lovely and delicate combination. My husband got the No. 198, which has mezcal. It would be difficult to choose a favorite. I'm also not a fan of ice so I'd recommend skipping the ice, which I did for the next drink. Later we got the No. 043 that has lavender, honey, lemon, and white grape. I think this was my least favorite. For dinner, I went with the restaurant week pear and fig salad and rigatoni bolognese. My only complaint was that the salad was a little salty for my taste. Otherwise, everything was delicious and fresh. My husband opted for the roasted chicken, which was the star of the show. This chicken elevated the whole meal. It was roasted perfectly and had so many wonderful flavors like fig and apples. I was jealous of his meal, but he let me have a few bites. My only complaint is that it was small. For dessert I had the panna cotta and my husband had the cannolis. Again, I was jealous of his, but I helped him eat them. The chocolate cannoli was the best. The panna cotta was also nice, light, and fresh. The restaurant and bar itself was pretty inside with nice decor and a warm vibe. We had a great experience for my Birthday dinner and I'd definitely visit again!
