Great selection of dates, cooking ingredients and foods. Prices were better than the other international food stores. Will be coming back

Clean store. Good quality meat. They grind beef fresh to order. Would recommend calling meat orders in.

Great meats and friendly service. Their meats are locally sourced and the prices are excellent. The chicken they sell tastes terrific.

In fact, my wife and I moved away from the area to Virginia and still drive to down to pick up meat from here.

Farmer Dan is so friendly! My husband and I got a wonderful tour of his farm and it was soooo cool…read moreto be able to see how they raise the animals, how they live, and to truly see what they are eating! This is truly the best farm for meat in the whole Triangle area. Farmer Dan's daughters, as well as one of the farm-worker's daughters, run the shop and they are so perky, professional, and helpful! They offered us free samples of some hot brisket with cheesy grits (holy YUM) and about 8 different flavors of goat cheese (there's even a chocolate one that's perfect in smores). They sell pork, beef, chicken, lamb, fresh eggs, cheese, ice cream, pet milk (unpasteurized), freshly baked cookies ($1 each), Buck Naked Farm honey, soaps, jams, and Adam's Vineyard wine. The prices aren't the cheapest, but you are truly paying for quality meat that is a LOT healthier and tastier than the junk they sell in the grocery stores. Surprisingly, they sell duck eggs from "A Third of a Farm" in Fayetteville, NC (which are super rich and delicious) and a variety of goat cheeses from Celebrity Dairy. We ordered the Jalapeno Cheese and it's sooooo good (and spicy) -- I usually hate goat cheese for its game-y-ness, but this cheese is so smooth! Our favorite products: - Pulled Pork -- we love that you just boil it in the bag and then serve it. Sooooo good! - Ground Beef -- you can really taste the onions, spices, and other veggies that the animals have been grazing on! We love using this for our burger night. - Ribs -- enough said. We nibble them down to the very BONE! I can't remember where the ice cream is from (some local dairy farm), but we ended up buying the Strawberry Cheesecake. It was tasty, but sadly there was no REAL strawberries in it at all... The "strawberry" swirls were just red food dye, corn syrup, and some other random ingredients. It also didn't have any sort of cheesecake chunks in it at all... I really wish Ninja Cow Farm sold ice cream with REAL ingredients.

Loved the farm itself, and the tour, and the meats that we purchased, but the owners sprung a…read moresurprise on us that frankly ended the experience on a sour note and makes it unlikely that we would ever return. We found out about Ninja Farms through Groupon, and had purchased a promotion for a tour with a discount toward the purchase of their meats. When we made the purchase, we also emailed two of our friend/couples to see if they were also interested in going with us and making a fun event out of it. Each of the two couples purchased their own Groupons separately, and I scheduled the tour for the six of us together on the same date, making a note that we had three couples, each using Groupons, on the website form when I scheduled the tour. At the end of the tour, when we went to purchase our meats, the wife of the owner-pair informed us that since we all scheduled our tour for the same time, only one of us couples could use our Groupon that trip. What?? She said that this was "one per visit" as listed on the Groupon details. Nowhere in the small print is a "visit" defined as a tour. I understand if we had been one family trying to use multiple Groupon discounts in our "visit", but this was clearly not the case, which we tried to explain repeatedly to both owners. It was quite clear that we were three separate couples who wanted to take our tour all together, but were from three separate households and had purchased three separate Groupons. Moreover, we could have scheduled three separate tours since we had three independently purchased Groupons by three separate couples. One would think that they would have appreciated us saving their time by consolidating to one tour. Evidently if we had scheduled three back-to-back tours, eating up more of their time, each of us could use our own Groupon with no problem. Eventually the husband-owner relented to let one of the other couples use their Groupon- which still meant that one of the couples could not use the Groupon discount that they had purchased (I believe they ended up requesting a refund through Groupon). The unyielding unreasonableness of the owners, coupled with the lack of definition in their small print (felt like a "bait and switch"), makes me not trust them or want to do business with them again. Which is such a shame, because I really wanted to like and continue to support their operation.
