I finally dropped into Nahunta Pork Center to check it out and it's definitely an interesting spot. Located in the back left of the State Farmers Market area, the stand-alone building is basic and clean. Inside you'll find two sets of refrigerated cases on either side with a low refrigerated case down the middle. Sausage, bacon, and pork in every imaginable form, you can get it here. Prices are decent but the quality is high and they trim the meat well so you can more usable pork per purchase. Checkout is simple and easy with two lines, I purchased some ribs and bacon, both quite good. While I may not remember to stop here too often, the Nahunta Pork Center is definitely a great spot for high quality meat if you can plan ahead.

Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Their products are superior to traditional grocery store offerings. There is a noticeable difference in color, packing and pricing that denotes care and consideration. The quality of their products are affirmed by the addictive aroma and taste of food when prepared with Nahunta Pork products.

Really great place to go if you are looking for meats. Lol. They have a great variety of pork. Ham, pork chop, chitterlings skins. And great cuts of seasoning meats. They also have supplies for bar-b-queuing a pig. Go here and check this place out.

Great selection of fresh pork in Raleigh. Also the best mild sausage. I've never been disappointed-satisfied.

Every holiday our family looks for a Lechon (whole Pork) to celebrate! This is the place to go, very fresh, good prices and always tasty!

Got some pork chops there this past weekend and they were terrible and my wife threw them out. They looked good, but had no taste.

Al-Basha Market & Grill - Chicken Shawarma wrap

Al Basha was a great experience! All of us ordered the chicken shawarma wrap combo, which came with…read morea wrap, fries, and coleslaw for around $13. It was a pretty generous amount of food for the price, and everything was solid. The shawarma was solid, the fries were good, and overall it was a satisfying lunch. Honestly, the food by itself was probably more of a 4-star experience for me, but the hospitality is what bumped this up to five stars. Every employee greeted us right when we walked in, and they even gave each of us a cup of their lentil soup to try, "on the house." Multiple employees also checked in during our meal to ask how everything was and whether we were enjoying the food. You could genuinely tell they cared about our experience, and that kind of hospitality goes a long way. Solid food, great value, and even better service. Definitely worth checking out!

I went back for a dessert and it took forever to order it . I had a lamb combo with falafel and hummus. We also had a kibbie platter with salad and taziki. Everything was good but our other places are better. There was a big container of hot tea but we had to ask, we were not told it was available. Stars off for poor customer service and smaller portions than some places.

I've lived in Raleigh for 14 years, and while I've enjoyed a few things from The Fresh Market before, I had never tried their bakery items. When I saw them on the Too Good To Go app, I decided it was the perfect excuse to run out and try it. My first two interactions were fantastic--the lovely elderly woman in the bakery and the sweet cashier checking me out were absolutely amazing and treated me with genuine kindness. However, the front-end manager (I believe her name was Tip or Tiff) completely ruined the experience. Her demeanor was an absolute deterrent. In an interaction that lasted less than three minutes, she hounded the cashier, repeating four or five times: *"Make sure you watch her scan it on the app."* The first time she said it, I thought nothing of it--just standard store process. But repeating it aggressively that many times while I, a Black customer, am just standing there rubbed me entirely the wrong way. To make matters worse, I had also picked up a granola bar to purchase. The manager came over *again*, hounding the girl: *"What are you doing? I have to make sure. Did you actually see her scan it?"* I felt incredibly sorry for the poor cashier, and frankly, I felt targeted. It is deeply frustrating to still deal with people acting like I don't belong in spaces where I absolutely do--and it's even more disheartening when that energy comes from another minority. If I had known I'd be treated with that level of baseline suspicion, I wouldn't have even spent money on the granola bar. That manager's behavior completely turned me away from ever spending my money at this store again. I truly hope this is a lesson for her in how she treats people. To the sweet cashier and the wonderful woman in the bakery, thank you for being decent human beings--I hope you both have an amazing day.
