Have a Volvo C70 2012 - hard-top convertible. A corner of the inner top lining was falling and needed to get it fixed. Found this shop and the reviews were good so, I called. Explained the situation and was asked to bring it in the next day!! Once there, I asked them to check the engine and an estimate. As the Car is already out of guarantee, I had also have been looking for a knowledgeable mechanic for annual / maintenance checkups. Before the end of the day, I was called and provided with a detailed explanation of findings and options /suggestions. We reached an agreement to proceed with repairs. Car was ready on schedule. The top fixed, as well as the agreed engine repairs and tune-up - WOW - car now drives like brand new! Thrilled with the professionalism and the quality of the work done (BTW: 1 year guarantee in all the work done!) Just took my 2014 Volvo xv60 for its 90k maintenance. The location is near aventura/north Miami stand alone building, very clean and organized. I dropped the car off at 11 and took uber home. Wally, the owner, called to give me a quote on the service and the repair finish time. Wally is very pleasant and his shop very neat. My car was ready by 4:30. My receipt had the service listed which included:,all the filters, air, cabin, oil change, spark plugs. Wally honored the yelp coupon. My car was not in need of any major repair just tune up. The car was running smoothly. The cost of the service was exactly same as dealer. 3 stars because I thought being an independent mechanic would be a lot cheaper as the dealer offers a car loaner, rotates your tires, caps all your other fluids, and also gives your car a wash before turning in to you. Although it's in kind of a weird area, the head mechanic was very nice and told me exactly what needed to be done and what didn't. I went in for my 2002 S60 because the check engine light came on and he explained the issue simply and gave me several options on how to fix it. It also was a very quick service as I stayed to wait until my car was done. So definitely worth the drive from South Beach where the volvo dealers seem to think I'm a millionaire. Will definitely be coming here the next time something goes wrong. read more

I own a 2000 Volvo C70 convertible and live in the Florida Keys. Irma damaged the top and so I had a new top installed. However, the mechanism stopped working properly and I had trouble finding someone who could fix it. After searching the internet, I discovered "Wally" at VOLVTECH INC. I'm so happy I did. It is well known that it can be a difficult to repair this problem; it's also hard to find experts on older cars, like mine. This is an extremely easy review to write. Simply put, if you have a Volvo, and that car is out of warranty, bring that Volvo to Volvo Tech in Miami. Simple as that!! Our 2006 S60, has been a very difficult car from the start. Many of the 2006's have been electrical nightmares from the start, including ours. Little things here and there, then big things. Finding a place to work on it has been a chore. This car was involved in an accident a while ago, The Hartford insurance company had it repaired at Miami Collision Center in Palmetto bay.. First mistake. They literally pieced it back together using anything the could find. The hood wouldn't even stay up after the job was done. After fighting with them for nearly a year, we cut our loses and moved on. Never take your car there. About a year after the collision the AC started going bad. We shopped around, Deel wanted an arm and a leg to repair it, so we went to David's Volvo off of Bird road. Second mistake. They replaced the compressor and said it was good as new, blowing less than 70 degree air. They couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. They just named parts that were broken. I replaced parts with genuine Volvo parts, that were easy to access and didn't require much to repair. Still wasn't 100%. David's Volvo wanted to replace the simple new parts, probably to resell!! They insisted everything was working fine, but continued to nickel and done us. Finally we came across Volvo tech..... Not making this review any longer than I have, I will simply say that the car is fixed!! PLUS....it was fixed correctly at a fraction of the cost. This shop takes pride in a job well done, and is ashamed and embarrassed for horrible work done by other shops. Rest easy knowing that your car will be in great hands... VolvTech is a rarity in Miami. I inherited my mother's 1998 S70. After several unsatisfactory visits to the dealership, I found VolvTech, who fixed multiple issues with my car, even a few that the dealership claimed not to be able to diagnose. Wally is thoughtful, fair and very fast. He also doesn't push fixes on you, and often comes up with alternate solutions. Volvo Tech I took my first Volvo 240 to Wally in 1990. He replaced the Turbo at the time. From that point on I continued using his service. After selling my 1989 240S, I bought my next Volvo from Wally which he made sure it was always running in top shape. After several years, I decided to purchase another beauty he was selling so I upgraded again to a newer Black 4 door 1999 240S that was so clean and just what I wanted. As you can see, I have owned Volvo's for many years now. I have never taken them to anyone but Wally. His mechanics have been with him since I found them. I feel he has always been honest, fair and reasonable with his price's. I have checked the dealer's many times, and he has the best price and service. He's become a friend too; I enjoy my times when I do have to take the car in for a checkup we make time to talk just about everything. Wally and his staff are always willing to help you out. These guys know what they're doing. I had my Volvo serviced here in 2019, and I am writing this review 4 months later. I had BIG work done, the entire engine replaced! And it now runs very smooth, regardless of it having over 180k miles. I still go here for my oil changes. Previously I had been driving my used car with no coolant without knowledge of the coolant leak, so I messed up my engine. I didn't know why the car kept turning off on me.
