My 04 Volvo XC70 in handling like new again after I had them install a full suspension/shocks/coils system refresh as well as new front/rear sway bars. They helped me with a small part repair to fix my daytime running light, installed a side blinker signal and also told me about a problem in my Tail light and what to buy to fix it. Here's what you can expect if you go to Swedish Motors! Their tire rotation costs $40, $10 more than Weston Toyota! The first amount that I was quoted was $222 to fix the pump for my wiper jets. Only after I threatened to leave and find another option, did the price go down to $127. They don't give you change there, you have to ASK for it. When the service is finished, you'll get your car key, the invoice but not the change. I gave the agent $80 for a $65 bill and he gave me the car key and the invoice. I HAD TO ASK FOR THE $15 CHANGE. That's how I got my change. After they ordered the parts and I went for the second time, there was no A/C. It was at least 95 degrees in that little office. There was no sign that there was a problem with the A/C. No one apologized for the heat, so I guess that's just the way they do business. I took my old Volvo to Swedish Motors over a decade ago and they were always honest, reasonably priced and trust worthy. I had a Prius in between, lets not even go there. I recently bought a used Volvo V70 station wagon and the first thing I did was drive to Swedish Motors and make sure they were still there. (I had lost their number in the years between.) I was thrilled to see Rolf. I love my current Volvo and knew when I found them again I would be in great hands and have that car that would last for as long as I wanted. Today I brought the car to them to check it out before making a long drive. Once again it has shown me how fortunate I am to have found them. After checking all the fluids, putting air in the tires and telling me my new purchase is indeed a beautiful car, they didn't charge me anything for their time. I've taken my Volvo to Swedish Motors multiple times in the last 5 years. The FIRST time I called them, I had a problem with the gear shift being stuck in neutral. I explained the situation to a guy (Rolf) on the phone. He gave me directions on how to get it out of neutral but I couldn't get the gear shift override to work. Keep in mind that this is the first time I called them. Instead of forcing me to tow it in for 30 seconds of work with a screwdriver that I couldn't do myself, Rolf offered to stop by and help - I don't know if I lived near him or what but it wasn't near the shop. When he got there, he showed me how to unlock the gear shift with a screwdriver so I could fix it in the future, made some friendly conversation, shook hands and then left. For the amount of sketchy stuff that goes on in South Florida, I was relieved to have found this place. I had to bring my car in again recently. When I called Rolf answered the phone and remembered the whole story, he kept the maintenance very reasonable and the car is running great. These are the best mechanics I have ever came across, period. They have very reasonable charges and won't try to sell you things you don't need. Rolf is a very nice friendly Swede that knows Volvo deeply, infinitely better than dealership mechanics. Their waiting area could use some upgrading, but with the kind of service I get there I will never complain about that. Another small inconvenience is that they don't work on Saturdays. If you're looking for great service at a reasonable price, then go see Chase at Swedish Motors! I took my 2006 Volvo S40 yesterday to address a Check Engine Light issue and I couldn't be happier. Chase confirmed my previous diagnostic testing and replaced my Fuel Pressure Sensor. In addition to that, he also advised that I check the timing belt due to the year of the car. Called me back the same day to let me know my car was ready and timing belt did not have to be replaced.
