The girl that did my manicure and pedicure was Susan and she did a fabulous job, I was very pleased when I left. Her work was extremely thorough and her massages were so good. 3.5 stars I got a pedicure and a gel manicure during my lunch break. Took a little bit over an hour which is not bad. The pedicure I would give 4 stars to. It was great, included a scrub and massage, then again it was the first time I got a pedicure. The gel manicure I would give 3 stars to. I had a different tech from when I got a pedicure. It turned out alright. One of my nails though isn't straight and I showed it to her and she tried to fix it but it still isn't prefect. No big deal I fix it myself. I appreciated that she did 3 coats since I chose a light pink color. In total I paid $52 plus tip which is pretty good in my opinion compared to other salons in the area. I am relatively new to Vogue Nails after trying just about every salon in the Ramsey / USR / Allendale area. Same problem everywhere, you get a decent mani-pedi and then the following visit, a different technician and a totally different experience. I tried Vogue on a whim and love the salon. All the technicians are skilled and thorough. Really never had anything than a good service; it doesn't seem to be a revolving door of different technicians each visit like most salons in the area. I really believe that makes a difference to insure uniform service from visit to visit. I read previous reviews about different owners, different prices. Definitely NOT the experience I've had. I went to Vogue Nails a few years ago and remember them being decent. Decided to try them again since i was in the area. What a mistake. My manicure was rushed, sloppy, way too think, & clumpy! My pedicure wasnt as bad. One of the worst manicures i have gotten in a long time. The technician applied the polish too thick and didnt clean off the extra cuticle or nails dust around the nails leaving clumpy bumpy areas in the upper nail bed. Awesome experience- I'm very weary of doing a lot of "normal things" these day's and I have to say Vogue is doing a great job. My pedicure and gel manicure was the greatest experience I've had in a long time. Their gel color selection is extensive- and both services were excellent. In addition, I had my temperature checked at the door and was directed to sanitize my hands. There's fiber glass in between all stations, and the pedicure tub is lined with plastic for each use. It is near my job so I usually go during the week on my lunch break, but would drive the 30miles on the weekend if I needed to because they never disappoint! I NEVER write reviews, but I was researching new places to go since my old nail salon was near my old job. I came across Vogue through yelp and saw it had great reviews so I decided to pop in before my vacation. Immediately I was pleased by the atmosphere, it's very up to date and classy looking. I was greeted right away, and although I didn't have an appointment, they took me no problem. I find that a lot of nail salons have old pedicure stations that look run down with the massage chairs rarely ever working. The pedicure stations here were really nice, they looked brand new, and the massage chairs worked perfectly (big plus for me). A woman named Susan did my pedicure, she was really sweet. I'm not a big talker in nail salons, I'm usually zoned out, but she made small talk which was nice. The thing that I loved about the pedi was that she really took her time and didn't rush through it (granted it wasn't a busy day, so I'm not sure what it's like when it is). For my manicure, I had a woman named Jane. I have only gotten 2 gel manicures in my life because I had not so great experiences with the longevity of the gel polish. I decided to give it a try again since I'm going to be away for a week. Jane was definitely a perfectionist which was awesome. I guess one of my nails wasn't taking the first coat very well so she took it off and re-did it several times until it was perfect. She made conversation with me too and knew I had never been there before so she asked my name and talked with me a bit. I have really short nails (which she noticed haha) and I know sometimes they are hard to paint but she did a great job. I'm excited to see how long these gels last, because so far they still look perfect. For the pedicure and the gel manicure the total came to $52 which is reasonable. Pedicures are $25 and gel manicures are $30, but together they discount it $3, not much, but it is something. Overall my experience here was really pleasant. Every customer that walked in they knew by name which was nice to see. The fact that they knew I'd never been there before shows me that they have loyal clients who they build relationships with and that we aren't just another face or dollar. Cute little salon but I tried to ask for tips and a different color when the gel was already on, and I did not understand I can't do that after it's on. I said it's okay and that I can just have gel in a completely calm fashion, no underlying sass. Instead of calmly explaining that I can't do that, the woman who was doing my nails started to insult me in Spanish to her coworkers and assumed that I do not speak her language. Then she gave me a very rough manicure, she cut both of my fingers and did not apologize and did not clean the blood off of my fingers. She glared at me from across the room and insulted me to her coworkers and assumed my friends did not speak Spanish as well, but they clearly heard her. read more

They did a good job but the gel nails are a huge rip off. The normal price in any nail salon is 60 tops for a fresh set and 40 for a refill. This place is ridic! They charge 80 and 55 wow smh! Have tried all the nail salons on Main Street in Ramsey. This one is the best in my opinion. They take their time and they don't rush you, but if you mention you are on your lunch break they will make sure to get you out the door in less than an hour. I was here last Saturday and got a pedicure and gel manicure. While the service itself was good, my gel manicure chipped on one nail just two days later and started peeling away on another nail five days later. Gels are expensive and the whole point is that they last two weeks. I'm not from the area so it would be inconvenient to return and get it fixed. The worst manicure I've ever gotten. It was no where near my cuticle so it already looked like it was grown out, and had several lumps and bumps. I'm not one to complain, so I didn't say anything and went on my way. But the next day, it was really bothering me so I called and politely explained what was wrong and that I'd really appreciate it if they could do it over. The lady was short and rude on the phone, but I went back anyway. I arrived and tried to show her what I was talking about over the phone and she rudely said "just pick a color." I sat down and it was very clear all the ladies were talking about me. I'll never go back there. I live in town and have been shopping around in Ramsey, haven't been here yet so I went last weekend. The good news: Great selection of polishes! (not watered down with their own labels, like other places I've been to.) They took me right away. Now the bad news: The clippers/nippers weren't sanitized. No fresh, clean paper towel to put your hand on. They have old towels. The file/buffer was like one I would give a child in a birthday party goody bag. Nail tech was too fast applying polish... just sloppy. I'm not sure if the young Spanish girls have any license-or whatever a nail tech gets. LOL! I won't be coming back. read more
