We ordered 2 takeout pizzas from Vocelli; 1 Traditional Crust Deluxe (pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, red onions, black olives, Italian Sausage) and 1 Thin Crust Spring Veggie (mushrooms, green peppers, black olives, tomatoes, red onions). Both pizzas were very good, but the Deluxe definitely had a bit more flavor. Our pizzas were ready in about 30 minutes, and they were piping hot. Checkout was a breeze. This past Saturday me and my friends had the pleasure of trying Vocelli Pizza in Greystone! Originally we had no plans to come here. We called one pizza place to make reservations and there website wouldn't allow us and they wouldn't answer the phone. We even left messages and they never called back. We went to that place in person to be told a 2 hour wait so we passed. Called 2 more places and both were 2 hour waits. Last on the list was Vocelli. Guy on the phone goes nobody is in here so you guys can come right in. I said cool 9 people are on the way. We get there place is empty. For some that's a red flag for others we may have just found a hidden gem. My one issue we all noticed was these guys were very aware we were on our way and every table was dirty and had not been wiped down and we had to wipe them down ourselves. Anyways we get ready to order and I asked the guy about this place and he tells me that they are mostly carry out and not really a dine in place, with me thinking that well this place should be spotless but hey we here. It's 9 of us and only 3 of them in the kitchen working so we were all very patient waiting on our food we all just bombarded them with. Our orders consisted of wings, cheese bread, multiple types of pizza, and cinnamon rolls. The pizza was phenomenal like for delivery pizza this was up there and could hang with the best of them. Dough was fresh and ingredients in general tasted fresh. This was really really good and when I talked to everybody there with me we could all agree this pizza gets a solid 8.2/10! Wings tasted like Domino's wings not bad but not great either. They were okay. 5/10 Cheese bread was really good really cheesy and seemed to have garlic butter on it. Would get again! 7.9/10 The cinnamon rolls were amazing! Fresh baked and covered in their delicious icing! Super soft and super good. 9/10 All in all this place was very good and if I am ever in this area again I will be getting pizza from them again guaranteed. Cleanliness: 6/10 Customer Service: 8.5/10 Food: 9/10 I found it weird on a Saturday this place wasn't busy and it should be. When it comes to Pizza I'm very picky always looking for that certain taste. Well Vocelli comes in pretty strong with authenticity of flavor and toppings not to mention service with a professional attitude. Prices are competitive with a variety of sauces and crusts with side dishes galore. Dine in or take even speedy delivery. I had ordered many pizzas from them over the past 18 months. Some better than others but overall it was good. Trying to order tonight on doordash and the order was canceled. This happened two nights ago too. I called the store and the guy was very rude. He flat out said he didn't have time to make my pizza due to an issue with Doordash not charging enough for the topping so requested. He didn't even offer letting me order directly with him or coming by to pick it up. There was no reason to act so put off by a customer trying to order a pizza. It makes no sense and sadly they lost a customer who was ordering about three to four times a month from them for the past year or so. No more though. read more

Returning from the beach and after driving about 6 hours to get back and taking an alternate route due to traffic backups- we found ourselves in the parking lot a Vocelli Pizza. I had never heard of this place and we certainly didn't want to cook. So I looked up Vocelli Pizza on Yelp and they had a 4-Star Average Rating so we called in an order . My Great Dane loves Pizza Crust so Ellie was very happy with my decision. We got one Extra Large Hawaiian Style Pizza that all three of us enjoyed this pizza. Now seeing this big menu will certainly open more ideas for the future. read more

So I'd only ever had food from this place once before, and it was a few years back, and it was pretty bad so I hadn't returned in some time. But I was in the area the other day and decided to stop in and give them another try. I'm glad I did. I kept it simple and ordered some bread bite things and a small pizza. Both came out quick and hot and delicious. The bread bites were the perfect balance between not being too doughy and not being too crispy. A little butter or seasoning...I'm not sure, but they were really good. The pizza was cheesy and the toppings were abundant. Exactly the way it should be. I like that they have fountain drinks so I can chug freely and take a refill to go. Friendly crew, clean place, good food. Not the cheapest in town, but you get what you pay for and the prices are moderate. They do have a variety of specials on the wall, so take advantage of those. Overall a nice clean spot with good food at decent prices and friendly people. Would definitely return. read more

This is the BEST PIZZA in all of Birmingham; of course pizza is a very individual taste; but if you haven't ever tried their pizza, you owe it to yourself to try it. we've had Chicago style & New York pizza and although they are awesome, this VOCELLI PIZZA is right up there. my personal favorite is the "Red-Top" pizza, perfect balance of fabulous crust, sauce and cheese. I wish there was as a way to rate ZERO stars! We pre-ordered our pizza via Door Dash last Friday at 4:30 for a 7:00 pick up. The driver shows up on time to pick up the order and after waiting for 15 minutes the "Manager" decided to cancel our order because he was "too busy" to make it at that point. When I called to speak with the Manager he was extremely rude, refused to take accountability, and didn't even apologies or try to reconcile the issue. This was our first visit to Vocelli's. Our friend, Kris M. had been there before and said it was pretty good and they had a pizza I wanted to try (which was unfortunately no longer available). So he, my husband and I decided to go there for dinner. We got there around 5:50pm on a Wednesday evening. There was nobody dining in at the time and one person waiting on an order. Turns out that her order was incorrectly prepared. The person up front told her he needed to talk to the manager. When he came back he told her they could make it again, but she'd have to pay for it - and that it would be behind all the orders they currently had. Great service there! We were greeted fairly promptly and given menus to look over. As we were looking, we heard the guy working the register tell someone else who had come in to order that they had no more thin crust dough. That could have been considered strike two. Thankfully none of us wanted a thin crust pizza. A few minutes later, we went up to the register to order. Kris M. ordered first and then my husband and I ordered. An older couple came in as we were ordering and took menus to look over. They actually ordered maybe 10-15 minutes AFTER we did. My reason for mentioning this will be clear later. The guy working the register was the only one there at that point, so he was taking orders/payments AND cooking. Delivery drivers began coming back in and were told to help in the kitchen (one argued this with the manager loudly enough to be heard by customers but was told that if he didn't stay and help he wouldn't have any deliveries to make). A good half an hour after we ordered, we heard the guys calling that my husband's stromboli had gone into the oven. A few minutes after that, mine went in the oven. Somewhere around 10 minutes later, we got our strombolis (which were just okay - the outside of both was done, but the inside was warm, not hot). However, Kris M. still had not gotten ANY of his order (which was the cheesesticks as an appetizer and pasta as the entree). A few minutes later Kris M. finally gets his appetizer but is told that the pasta will take longer. Okay.... The kicker, and what made me leave this review, is that the older couple who came in AFTER us and ordered a good 10-15 minutes after we did got their entrees before Kris M. What were their entrees? PASTA. By this time we'd all had enough, so Kris M. asked for his pasta to be put in a to-go container. We finally left the place around 7:05pm. Ok so this is actually 4.5 stars!! It's truly almost perfect for a local pizza place. Much better than the popular chains nearby. Fresh toppings and fantastic sauce! Look up specials online or ask when you call. It's not much more than take out anywhere else .... And far superior! NY resolution...write reviews sooner after visiting restaurants. We have eaten pizza from here in the past, but last night we ordered the pasta. One dish had sausage and marinara with penne. The other had chicken Alfredo with linguini. Both came with garlic breaD and both were yummy. We also had the Vocelli rolls with bacon. I think i likes them better than the pepperoni rolls. We dipped them in some marinara we already had at home. Delivery arrived at our house about 30 min after ordering. After tax, delivery, and tip our total was around $35. The BEST customer service & pizza! A couple of friends and I went to Starz and didn't realize no food was served there so I walked over to Vocelli. Upon entering, I was greeted by a couple of guys and they offered to answer any questions I had about the menu. Once we ordered, the guys even offered to bring the pizzas next door to Starz so we wouldn't have to wait in the restaurant. After about 15 minutes, one of the guys showed up with our order piping hot with paper plates and napkins for the group! We had the pepperoni garlic rolls, a pepperoni hand tossed pizza, and one with pepperoni, Italian sausage and bacon. Everything from customer service to the freshness was phenomenal! I live 2 minutes from this store and placed an order for delivery at 5:41 p.m. I received that cold pizza at 6:45, delivery person argues, it hasn't been that long. Need to talk to a manager. It's not about one delivery, it's about an overall failure over the past year. Maybe the business isn't doing so well. Maybe it was the manager trying to make and deliver a pizza. I decided to break a dry spell of not giving this establishment a try. My close friend has told me that he goes here a lot for lunch and stuff since it is close to his office on Hwy 280. I trust his judgement 100%. I went on a Saturday around lunch. I was debating on lunch or breakfast. Went with the lunch. Ok choice. Walked and walked up to the counter and the cashier took my order, I went with a 1 topping large pizza for $7.99 and my favorite garlic knots that were steaming hot. They certainly give you your monies worth. I got 8-10 of those and my pizza was sliced with thin crust. I usually go for the thin crust, cause it is more pizza less bread. Now, here is where I have trouble. The soda fountain was actually behind the ordering counter and it made me feel like I was invading the staff area. It was not a good feeling to get refills on my drink. The other trouble was they had no one checking on my table. it is a good thing that I am low maintenance.
