I really enjoyed my first time trip to Miracle Pizza. After brewery hopping, I stopped here to grab a snack. When I arrived, it wasn't busy for a Saturday afternoon. The staff was ready to assist me and provided really pleasant / helpful service. I regret that my phone battery died while I was here. I didn't get many pictures of my food or inside the restaurant. I was able to get a picture of my leftovers later once I got home. The New York slice was pretty tasty! It had the right about of pepperoni/ sauce / cheese ratio. It was great!!! The crust was not too crispy or doughy, so it was just right for me! This is a nice spot to hang out with anyone. It's really laid back and casual dining. The New York slices of pizza were good. It was hot, fresh, and flavorful. Lot's of topping options. We went with traditional pepperoni and cheese slices. It's nice to have a back door from Avondale Brewery directly into the Miracle Pizza. The ambience is cool and laidback. Some arcade games, a huge bar that is stocked with liquor, beer, and wine, TVs all around playing sports, and good music. The service is friendly and very helpful. read more

Delicious and fresh! Thinner crust makes for foldable bites. I got the Eat Your Veggies pie (food for days!) and it was fabulous, loaded with fresh toppings, and piping hot delivered to my table. You can sit at the bar or get table service. There's also a path to the Avondale Brewery outside area (when they don't have a paid event ongoing). Management was very kind and open to feedback. They're working to improve the Avondale concert pizza experience where they sell slices during the concerts. I mentioned the last concert I attended, the slice was lukewarm and not fresh. Looking forward to giving them another chance at the next show. It's so important to eat while I boogie to keep my energy up! Support local! read more

Regrettably for Miracle Pizza, the Magic City has some amazing pizza spots. While their location and their space is a miracle, nothing about their food is. We started with the garlic bites with marinara. Bits of pizza dough were baked and tossed with garlic butter and served with a savory marinara. The little bits of dough were flavorful but tough. The marinara was lackluster. We asked for a side of ranch to dip them in, and honestly that was the best thing we had. Rich with plenty of dill, everything there should come with the ranch. We ordered the double pepperoni pie and then wondered where the "double pepperoni" was when it arrived. The crust was bland and doughy. There wasn't a huge abundance of cupping pepperoni on top. And it needed the ranch. Finally, we ordered a cannoli (the only dessert available). While the orange zest in the ricotta filling should have been delicious, whoever zested the oranges got too much pith and made the filling bitter. Our visit was a disappointment, which made us sad since the servers were so nice. I'd love to give them a better review, but it's easy to pass on Miracle Pizza and hit one of Birmingham's better spots. read more

Do I think Miracle Pizza will work a miracle in Avondale? Pizza is in general easy to do, but very hard to do right. I was here on a Friday night and could not believe how empty it was. Miracle deserves more love! Family friendly, nice staff, order up front and sit down. The 14" za was demolished by two hungry ladies. We ordered the Spicy Salami and Honey. It was good, but I feel it could have been even spicier/saltier/pepperier. The location is right on the main strip in Avondale, would be a great spot to eat before or after checking out Avondale Brewing, Saturn, 41st St Pub, or one of the other bars around. This was my first time to visit Miracle Pizza. We were always a big fan of Post Office Pies, so our fingers were crossed that it would be just as good. My favorite was the veggie minus tomatoes and olives, and it was absolutely amazing. We also ordered the all meat which I heard was also really good. I liked that there was an option to order single slices even at dinner time. The service was really good and the staff was really nice. Also there was plenty of room for the seven of us. read more

We went the day after Thanksgiving...hoping to see chef Ben but he was out of town. We ordered @ the counter & sat down. Quiet today as it was early afternoon. Cool area with warehouse vibes. We tried the mixta salad, garlic knots, pizza slices & Italian beef. Everything was fresh & delicious. Loved the pizza crust! We tried the gelato too which also was delicious! We got an 18" pepperoni pizza NY style. It was a great pizza, not overly doughy and a good flop. We also added the hot honey which was a nice touch. It was a great size for three guys as well. Would do a negative if possible... Extremely disappointing experience at Miracle Pizza in Birmingham. They are clearly understaffed, and it shows in every aspect of service. The staff appeared disengaged and frustrated, and unless you're an employee sitting at the bar, don't expect to be served with any urgency -- or at all. It's frustrating because they're in such a great location with every opportunity to thrive, and the area genuinely wants them to succeed. I like their pizza, but these prices are hard to justify--this isn't a fancy restaurant, just a pizza place that's become ridiculously expensive. The pizza here was very good. They had a specialty Pizza. I think it was called apple and spinach so that was pretty good also but it should have been done with a alfredo sauce or white sauce. Some type of white sauce that would have been nice but other than that the staff was friendly. It was previously another pizza shop but then this one took over and everything was good. My intent was to visit Post Office Pies in Avondale, but one of my friends informed me that they are no longer in business. So, I decided to give Miracle Pizza a try. I got there a little after lunch, so I did not have to wait to place my order. The lady who took my order was very pleasant and offered suggestions based on questions she asked. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken twist and the Meat and Greet Pizza to go. My loves pizza and would eat it every day if he could.  The Buffalo Chicken twist good. I have certain meat to bread ratio for sandwiches an other handhelds. They were really good. I thought they would be doughy with little protein and I was pleasantly surprised. As for the pizza, it was also good. The flavor profile is very different from its predecessor, but it was still very good. The crust was thoroughly cooked, but not burned. Been here a few times while going to concerts and once for lunch. Love the pizza by the slice and my girlfriend and I shared their Eat Your Veggies special. The Veggie was so good we ate all but 2 slices and I didn't miss having any meats on it. Service has been consistent, super friendly and professional. The garlic and mozz roll was fine, but the pizza and wings were very below average. Pizza seemed like it had been cooked earlier and was just thrown back in for a min to reheat. Wings were soggy and flavors were lacking. They also didn't have multiple items on the menu, not only had some run out, but many they just weren't serving. Staff was nice. The wing happy hour didn't start till 7, which we didn't know, but they were willing to do it for us anyway. We dove into Miracle Pizza Company prior to attending a concert next door at Avondale Brewery. We ordered the double pepperoni pizza. The pizza has a thin crust, lots of cheese, and lots of small pepperonis. The pizza was good--a tad greasy for my taste. We debated trying the veggie pizza--wish we had. Unfortunately, they botched our order somehow--you could smell burnt pizza in the air. Some others got their food 15-20 before us. They were nice about it and gave us two complimentary drinks. It was odd. 1/2 of the employees were snacking as they walked around the restaurant which I found off putting. The bathrooms were clean which is the only reason I chose 2 stars. The absolute BEST thing I have ever tasted is the Magic City Mushroom pizza! Layers of flavor, very high quality ingredients, especially the mushrooms...just to die for! Came to try this place out based off of reviews. Place was empty. Typically that says it all but we gave it a go. Sadly we left quite disappointed. Pizza was ok. I've had much better but also had worse. Biggest problem was the massive roach that scampered across my feet as I sat and ate. Left me wondering how many more of these are running around in the kitchen. Roaches equal 1 star for me. Health violations are a no go. Tons of pizza options in Birmingham.
