The quote was twice as much as other quotes and fabric request to use was enough for two couches and a chair. Disappointing as the work looks good in their pics and reviews but way overpriced. I already bought fabric from an upholstery wholesale company and that was already $600. That was because another company asked me to get my own because their selection was limited and dropped the ball two days before it was to begin. So I didn't have $2k+ more for the stitching as well when all other quotes were close to $1000 which is still a lot but more expected. 3k for a reupholstered couch yikes! The response was done quickly with a quote after sending photos but it seemed as though there was a communication issue or they were trying to get extra for another project. I'm sure the work is good but too pricy for me. My couch is small and needs 8 to 10 yards and not 28 yards. It wasn't a good fit for what I'm looking for. read more

I had to redo my dining room chairs, 6 of them, and I had researched different companies to get quotes and looked at their online reviews. I decided to go with VMC on this job. I dropped off my chair cushions along with the fabric and they had the cushions back to me in a little over a week. They had to redo the wood base frames of the cushions and replace the foam as well. Once I got the finished product home, I had to apply the cushions, at first it seemed the cushions were a little off from the frame of the chair, but after some adjusting, I was able to get them all installed. I have a bit of fabric left over. Thanks for getting them back to me so quickly, and I do recommend this business for your upholstery repair/replacements. They were great to work with! Really prompt communication--they were the first to answer my request for a quote, and they were in regular contact with me about the progress of the job. They had an extensive set of upholstery swatches to choose from, but I ended up going with some fabric I found on sale at a nearby store. VMC was flexible about that, and even willing to wait while I shopped around. The recliner they reupholstered looks GREAT and they went above and beyond what I requested--they made extra arm and back covers for the chair, too! These guys are awesome! They picked up my sofa, repaired it, and returned it in less than a week! Very professional and the quality of work is superb. My sofa had arms that were caving in because the cardboard holding the cushion had disintegrated over time. They replaced it with sturdy wood and new padding. It's better than new. This place does terrible work!! Don't let the reviews and pics fool. They half-assed my job and ruined my cushions and fabric in the process (see pics. All SIX seat cushions look like the one in the pic). Now I'm going to have to purchase new fabric to get them done right. And the owner's response was "why are you complaining about the bottom of a seat that no one even sees anyway". Are you kidding me?! The seams are obviously visible on the bottom. They obviously thought the chairs were junky and old, so doing a clean job wasn't necessary. They may be inexpensive but you get what you pay for--shoddy work at best!! He was also the most reasonably priced and didn't have a 6 week wait time. When I drove across town (worth the trip) to drop off the chairs, Neo and discussed and collaborated on the details of how the chairs would be finished. We also discovered something about the chairs that required more work from his team. We agreed on an addition to the original quote which was more than fair, and I was happy to pay it. I am so glad I found this place, I literally went through a dozen other places before settling on VMC for several pieces of furniture I was having recovered. They promptly gave a quote based on pics I e-mailed and then after about a week the first two chairs were ready and exceeded my expectations. This was a fabric that had hand painting on it from India and another upholsterer refused to touch it. The guys in the shop were great about working with this fabric and making suggestions to ensure I would be happy with the end result, and I was. Neo, the owner is pleasant and professional and communicated throughout the process, asking questions to make sure they understand what you want. I won't say their prices are the lowest, they are right in the middle of several quotes I got from other shops. I do think when you spend quite a bit on fabric and labor to reupholster a piece you don't want to scrimp on the quality and you need someone who listens to what you ask for, VMC does that. read more

if i could give a worse review then i would. DO not use I need a Headliner to be installed in my dodge ram 1500 I was told by the owner that they could do it and it would take a day to finish. I live about 36 miles away and used VMC due to their price and time to do work. When I arrived to pick up my car the man working on it appeared to be drunk and the work looked sloppy. I told the man that I wanted it fixed and would be back tomorrow to pick up my car. I received a call again from the owner saying it was done I arrived to find that they had broken my back dome light the carpet was dirty and they had sprayed glue on the headliner. I talked to the owner and showed him these problems he stated that he would make things right. When it came time to fix the problem all I revived was excuses I was told that he could not fix the problems because of the weather or could not reach him at all. I had to have a family member try to reach him so I could get my car and my money back. Bottom line they don't care about the work they do. If you want to get the run around and have you upholstery looks like shit then VMC is you place. read more
