My company recently moved into a building located in Chino. On opening day we learned that our telephone system and network were not working correctly. After attempting to fix ourselves, we contacted several local service providers in the near area. And of course most tried to sell us new telephone/network equipment for thousands of dollars without any attempt to use the existing equipment that was working perfectly before moving. First time using this kind of service, as I usually repair my own computers. I grew up building my own gaming rigs that doubled as a work station during college. Now a days with being a self employed contractor, I just don't have the time or desire to put all those hours in to troubleshoot and diagnose my machines. I found this place on yelp and saw the good reviews. I called them and asked them how much it would cost to fix my macbook air keyboard. They told me 179 which was a good price considering what apple charges and other places. This place is in chino where my gf lives so I figured I would give it to her to bring in. This nightmare was a 4 month process! I found it funny that they could not work on my macbook until a week later because Robert the tech called me and said they were waiting for some tools to take off the back casing. If they did this repair before wouldn't they have the tools already? I gave them the benefit of the doubt. After 3 weeks it was finally fixed and my gf picked it up. I asked her to make sure the keyboard keys were working and it was. I received the computer from her a few days later. I noticed my screen had a funny looking burn on it which obviously was not there before. I am OCD so I would definitely notice that. I uploaded the pictures for you to see yourself. I called VM tech and told them about it. I even sent them the photos. They agreed that when it was brought in it was not there. However they denied doing it. Obviously I was furious at this point. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that they did not purposely give me the computer back knowing that it was damaged. I did not accuse them of knowing but did want them to fix it. You can be the judge whether or not they knew after you read further. After several back and forths Virgil the owner wanted me to pay for half the repair. He found a LCD screen for 400 and wanted me to pay 200. I was angry at the fact and told him that it was not right for me to have to pay a dime because I did not give them my computer in that condition. All that was broken was the number keys on my keyboard and I ended up with a damaged LCD. I then told him that I was sorry that this could not be resolved professionally and I was going to write his 1st bad review. Virgil then told me to take back my computer and use it as is and allow them to find the part for 200$. If they could they would repair it and if not he would refund me what i paid for the installation of the keyboard. I told him I just wanted my computer to be the same as it was before I brought it to them. He asked me to give him a month. A month passes by and no response so I email him and he says oh yes they found the part and bring it in for repair. I was surprised but relieved he was able to repair my LCD.After about 2-3 weeks Robert who worked on my computer originally could not get the LCD to sit properly and said he needed another part.I am getting impatient at this point.He said he will retry again with the help of his coworker. I demanded either they fix it or get me a replacement. Robert says he will talk to Virgil after he gets back from his honeymoon and asked I give him the weekend to fix it so I did. Monday comes around and Robert emails me and says "Your computer is repaired and Virgil has signed off on the repair and said it is okay for you to pick it up." I'm relieved to get this done with. Well I hoped. When I got there Robert handed me my computer and told me to inspect it. First I noticed the bad glue job.I then noticed that there was some kind of halo effect going on on the screen.The hinge on my computer was also melted from them heating up the plastic and glue. I kept my cool and I said this is not acceptable. They were literally going to give me my computer back in this condition. Again I uploaded pictures of the condition they were going to give me back my macbook. After I told him that this is not an acceptable repair Robert says...Hmmm well Virgil said if you aren't happy he can not replace your computer but he can order the whole LCD assembly with new hinge and it will be a simple fix.It will be a few screws and a 30 min job.Why they didn't do that in the first place is beyond me. So Robert says please allow a week for it to ship from Brea. So instead of actually fixing it properly he wanted to see if I would take it as is. Again refer to the photos and you will be appalled. So I take back my computer so at least I can use it for a week. I am so angry looking at my computer falling apart at this point. This started off as a keyboard repair.I finally get the call from Robert the tech saying that the part is in. When I get there I asked him how could he think this was an acceptable repair but of course he stayed quiet. After he replaced the whole assembly I check it out. It looks good. Everything seems to be working.The LCD looks as it did when I first brought it in. I then ask Robert if the owner Virgil is in. He says no and I tell Robert that I wanted Virgil to call me and tell my why I should not write a bad review. I told him I wanted to talk to him. So after a week there is no call and I take it as a sign that there was no possible way he could explain himself. You judge if they are shady or not. read more

These guys are great! I highly recommend them. I used VM Tech to troubleshoot and correct some critical errors on our server at our business. They were professional, knowledgeable and efficient. Our network computer died on us and our whole office runs off of it so we were in a bad situation but I found VM Tech on Yelp. Gave them a call and they said to bring it right over as they were only a block away from our office. The guy was very knowledgeable and and ran some free test to find the problem, luckily only our power supply went out and no data was lost so he was able to replace that part and our office was running back up again within the hour. My laptop was having issues starting up and I decided to bring it in to VM Tech based on their reviews. John was the front desk when I arrived and I left my laptop with him for a free diagnosis. As promised he contacted me the next morning and informed me of the bad news that my hard drive was damaged and would have to be replaced. He went over the cost and I although I found the price to be fair, I decided not to repair the laptop as it would only cost me a few hundred more to get a new one.
