The bouquet was tiny, the flowers are already old, yet the cost suggested something much more substantial. The pricing vs. quality feels completely out of sync, and the presentation did not match expectations at all. This location is the much worse lotus florist than the Brentwood mall location. This experience felt misleading, and I wouldn't come back or recommend it to others. RUN. UPDATE: In response to the manager's private comment--some issues can't be resolved behind the scenes. When customers pick up flowers they've paid for and pre-ordered days in advance, they reasonably expect them to be fresh and presentable. Receiving withered blooms and leaves damaged by insects on an important occasion is unacceptable. Not everyone has the time to wait for a fix, especially on the day the flowers are needed. I went into a few other potential flower shops before this one, and I can honestly say that the service Stephanie gave was above any from the other stores --who clearly needed lessons in customer service! Stephanie asked me exactly what my budget was for each item (bridesmaids and bridal bouquets, bouttenieres, etc.) She said if I show her what I want, she can make it WITHIN my budget! A miracle! I came to her with magazine tearouts detailing exactly what I wanted and didn't want. On the wedding day I was absolutely floored at how beautiful all the flowers looked!! One time we came here to buy peonies together the owner insisted in giving us aged peonies that were already fully bloomed that would have died in a few days (despite my request for tighter buds). What a shame to pay so much money to have dying flowers. Debating if we should still come here going forward.

My favourite place to visit after a delicious breakfast or brunch steps away at Dope Bakehouse in…read morethe Polygon Gallery is Margitta's flowers. Passing through Lonsdale Quay or on your way back to the seabus terminal, the no doors format of Margitta's flowers puts on full display the fresh and vividly colorful flowers and bouquet arrangements that this shop has to offer. I particularly love this store as they carry the stunning Bird of Paradise stems and a rotating selection of Orchid stems depending on what they receive at the warehouse auction, among other more generally seen flowers. You'll also see Heliconia, Rose, Lily, Sunflowers and Freesias to name a few, all displayed in a beautiful floor to ceiling arrangement making it seem like a walk through a jungle. Throughout the year Margitta's will stock cymbidiums in small ($10-11 per stem) and large format ($1.50 per bud), mokara, oncidium, phalenopsis, paphiopedilum and dendrobium orchids if you're an orchid fanatic like myself. The dendrobium stem ($4) I got lasted me from January to April, so it was quite the surprise for me and gave me months of blooms. Whether you're here to purchase a single stem to liven up a living space, or assembling a bouquet for a special event, Margitta and her staff always positively greet their customers and offer knowledgeable advice on the different blooms and their availability. For inquiries before heading to the store, they always pick up the phone and are very knowledgeable about their inventory.

I thought by providing a picture, it would be close to what I had in mind. Instead, I got something that didn't resemble the style I had requested and instead had a mix of inferior flowers. Needless to say, I was very disappointed given the good reviews here. I'm glad I went in before it was delivered to make some changes, but it ended up looking kind of haphazard and became an hot mess. The owner stated several times that the style I requested was one of the first styles that she had learned. If so, I was not impressed. She also wasn't pleased with the changes and resisted adding the types of flowers I wanted even though she removed quite a few large flowers. She kept adding green filler instead of flowers. I think for almost $200, she could have done a fairer job in accommodating my needs. I just hope my friend's family and friends don't look too closely as it didn't look very elegant at all. Not an happy customer. If I wasn't gutted by my friend's sudden passing and pressed for time, I would have cancelled my order and have gone elsewhere.
