Do Not Use This Business!!! Con-artist's at work here! When I signed up for vivint, the sales rep and I spoke about a 24 month contract. We had over an hour and a half demonstration and consultation. I knew I wanted a 24 month contract and the sales rep knew it as well. There is no way I wanted more because I knew we weren't going to be home owners beyond that time frame.
When you sign up, they push so much paper work your way. You're signing some pages, initialing others. Obviously, I should have spent the hours to review everything they wanted signed and initialed but the rep had to go and I had to get to work. After a while, you just start going with the process. Well, there was a 60 month contract slipped into the pile even though all parties knew we spent the whole time talking about a 24 month one.
Watch these guys very closely as they use shady tactics and have no ethics. I would recommend you never use them. If you do, read your paper work. Then re-read your paper work. Then take it to an attorney and him review it as well. I'm serious. Vivint is a company of cheaters! I'm stuck paying $70 for the next 26 months and I won't get anything out of it. After about a year and a half the sensors start falling off the windows so over time you have less and less portions of the home you can arm. Also, they did a very poor job setting up security on the garage. They didn't get every access set up with a monitor so depending on the entry point, no alarm would sound. There are much better options available. Please take my word for it and research this company before you do business with them. Google them and check their reviews. You will find hundreds of stories just like mine. read more
