It's trouble with a capital T finding help out here but when you do and the work is very good I have to say something. I've been remodeling. Remodeling is almost my new middle name. I keep telling myself just say no but I can't kick the dragon off my back so I just keep going. One thing I really don't like doing is electrical work. My house is a good fifty years old but not to bad. The people before me put up new drywall and did some other work but left the original plugs in the wall. So bad the plugs would fall out or be so loose as not to work, I.e phone Charger. Yes, whoever did it is fired in my book. I had to change one because I was hanging a tv up and the plug would drop out after a mere tremor. So here I am on the floor, a big guy with big hands and I suppose these green eyes don't focus the way they used to. Just Being honest it probably took me about an hour just on that one plug. I had two bedrooms and The rest of the living room and hallway to do. I'm still shaking My head when I think of it. I looked around and called Murphys Electric and left a message. The next day I got a call from them and I spilled out my dilemma. He very Nice and patiently listened and then told me they are very busy But he'll see what he could do. Will, by the end of the day he calls back and tells Me he has someone that will be here at 8 am the next day. I was speechless. Ok let's go for it and 8 am the next day Jed pulls up and I show him what I needed and off to work he goes. He had the first bedroom done in an hour! It was great and then he kept going. He even cut a beater opening in the bathroom where I had put up cedar walls and put the plug over the wood. He even spots the outlet that I put in and noticed it was out from the wall a little too much and fixed that up. I was very happy with the work and even showed him the lights I have on the deck where I have it partially roofed and has overhead lights and will have them come back to replace the lights with something like a Key Largo type fan. I also called from out of state. I spoke and dealt with Brian. I had Brian do a very minor job for me and was quite happy. When I asked him for an estimate on a much larger job he looked it over and told me he wanted to mull over a few ideas in his head and would call the next day. Well he did call, his estimate was $1,000 less than Pro Electric who we're rude and ridiculous. Brian not only did the job professionally and quickly but there were no hidden costs at all. He charged me exactly what he quoted me weeks earlier. The work Brian did was clean, well placed, beautiful work. He was nice, polite, quick to return my calls and wonderful to work with. I can't recommend Pat and his crew highly enough! I recently had to call from out-of-state to arrange for a repair at my father's home in Grants Pass, OR, and Pat Murphy, who had never spoken with me before, returned my call within 5 minutes ... and was able to arrange to have someone at my Dad's house within 30 - all to accommodate a caregiver's schedule and other complications on essentially no notice. Throughout it all, Pat was friendly, funny, kind, professional, and incredibly understanding ... even made calls on my behalf ... and he and his employee Jasper both went above and beyond for us. This is the second time Murphy Electric has done terrific work at my father's home ... I appreciate not only the expertise the Murphy Electric crew has in their chosen field, but the fact that Pat Murphy and his employees both clearly place a high and obviously sincere value on helping people in need. I recommend Murphy Electric. I was having a very hard time getting an electrician do a 4,000-5000$ job for an ommp project in the Medford area. Multiple electricians looked at the job, and either said it couldn't be done, or promised to work up a quote and never followed through. I tried for 6 weeks to hire someone before I called Murphy Electric out of Rogue River. They looked at the job, gave me a quote the next day, and were wiring the job all that same week. They did a great job, got me a permit, had excellent communication and customer service. I highly recommend them especially to ommp patients. read more

Honest! Reliable! Excellent Communication! Thorough! Fast! I talked with, and got bids from 3 electricians; hands down Brian and Murphy Electric were the best! We had Brian do a major job - upgrade to a 400 amp service, upgrade a 150 amp sub-panel, and then add two 150 amp sub-panels to the barns 200 feet away... and we needed it in all completed in 3 weeks! To top it off, I was planning a large wedding at the site and was away traveling most of the time while the work was done. I knew roughly what I wanted but did not know how it would all fit together. Brian carefully listened to my needs and ideas then provided real options and solutions, thoroughly explaining how each would work and the pros and cons to each. We made some decisions. Throughout the work kept me updated and was easy to reach. He made a referral to then helped coordinate with a backhoe guy (who was also awesome), and helped coordinate (a lot) with Pacific Power. When Pacific Power was inconsistent with their requirements, Brian made the change at his own cost. In the end the work was extremely professional, looked great, was in the price range I was expecting and comfortable with. read more
