Two days later we had a power outage and the generator came on, ran for about 35 minutes and then shut-down. I checked the generator to find out why it quit and noticed oil everywhere and an alert code of 1300 (low oil pressure). Upon closer inspection I found the oil dip tube unscrewed and oil pooled on the floor of the machine, oil soaked on insulation and wall, and oil covering engine. The oil had soaked the cement pad that the generator sits on and the gravel and soil surrounding the generator. Apparently, when the service tech did his maintenance he failed to replace the cap on the oil vessel and the oil spewed out. When they came out to rectify the mess and clean up the oil, they did not address the oil soaked into the cement pad, gravel or soil and left the machine still covered in oil. This machine is not meant to run on low oil and the owner's manual warns that inadequate oil can cause engine damage. Jordan Power damaged the reliabily of my generator and their only remedy was to change the oil filter and replace the generator and if available to purchase an extended warranty. My generator was only 5 years old! Their remedy was totally inadequate. I am now forced to pay for getting the area cleaned properly and since I don't trust this generator as it has probably been affected by running without oil, buy a replacement generator. When I told Jordan Power about these out of pocket expenses, I never heard back from them. I guess what they offered was a take it or leave it deal. I rely on my generator as I have several freezers and refrigerators because I raise my own meat and produce. Do not use this company, their incompetence will probably cost me over $5000 to get the mess cleaned up and purchase a replacement generator.

In July the following year, I scheduled another appointment. I confirmed by telephone and by email and the day before the appointment, they called to confirm again. During that conversation I asked that the Rep be sure to arrive during the appointment window (3-4pm). The office manager said they couldn't guarantee that arrival time. I reminded the office manager that the appointment time had been scheduled a week earlier after a no-show months before, and that we had coordinated two calendars to be available for the appointment time scheduled. She said, "that's not how we do business." Startled by her statement, I asked to speak with the owner. Instead, she hung up the phone. We have every intention of installing an expensive backup generator and almost certainly would have purchased the system from this company. Thank God we didn't! Imagine the frustration of that office manager being the point person whenever we needed maintenance or warranty service. I wouldn't buy a popsicle from this business.

After researching electricians on Yelp I decided to call "Double J" because of their great reviews, and close location to us. Wendy answered my call, took my information, and made arrangements for Jeremy to come by today. Two hours later Jeremy arrived, and checked out my whole system. I was waiting to hear all the bad news, but instead found the whole problem was only caused by a switch I had neglected to turn on. It's trouble with a capital T finding help out here but when you do and the work is very good I…read morehave to say something. I've been remodeling. Remodeling is almost my new middle name. I keep telling myself just say no but I can't kick the dragon off my back so I just keep going. One thing I really don't like doing is electrical work. My house is a good fifty years old but not to bad. The people before me put up new drywall and did some other work but left the original plugs in the wall. So bad the plugs would fall out or be so loose as not to work, I.e phone Charger. Yes, whoever did it is fired in my book. I had to change one because I was hanging a tv up and the plug would drop out after a mere tremor. So here I am on the floor, a big guy with big hands and I suppose these green eyes don't focus the way they used to. Just Being honest it probably took me about an hour just on that one plug. I had two bedrooms and The rest of the living room and hallway to do. I'm still shaking My head when I think of it. I looked around and called Murphys Electric and left a message. The next day I got a call from them and I spilled out my dilemma. He very Nice and patiently listened and then told me they are very busy But he'll see what he could do. Will, by the end of the day he calls back and tells Me he has someone that will be here at 8 am the next day. I was speechless. Ok let's go for it and 8 am the next day Jed pulls up and I show him what I needed and off to work he goes. He had the first bedroom done in an hour! It was great and then he kept going. He even cut a beater opening in the bathroom where I had put up cedar walls and put the plug over the wood. He even spots the outlet that I put in and noticed it was out from the wall a little too much and fixed that up. I was very happy with the work and even showed him the lights I have on the deck where I have it partially roofed and has overhead lights and will have them come back to replace the lights with something like a Key Largo type fan. I have complete confidence in them.
