SO happy with Modern Electric, Daniel and the service level they provided. I have had some bad experiences with some local electricians, high and repeated trip charges, poor attitudes, not willing to take small jobs. I was delighted to connect with Daniel. I contacted Modern Electric for a small job, they came straight out, were prompt, extremely personable and did a fantastic job for one very reasonable charge, no trip charge, no extras tagged on. Daniel was so nice, he installed our ceiling chandelier and then removed it, modified the height to suit us changing our minds and reinstalled it again. Poor guy we had him up and down on the ladder. The job - Two 50 amp inlets for generators into two panels. Two separate 20 amp circuits into a wood working shop. 15 amp power output into a closet. Before the job - Dan called me back within 2 hours of me leaving a voice mail. We had a great chat and he said he'd be round on Friday to discuss our needs and give us a quote. He arrived on time and was impressive. He was able to provide a quote very quickly. The job - Justin and his partner arrived on time and were awesome. The quality of their work was outstanding. This was backed up by the county permit inspector who reviewed with "nice work". After the job - we will be working with Dan again in 2024 as we will have a major solar project with 64 panels and 90 kWh of battery storage. I cannot recommend them too highly. They were at my house for 5min, separated a couple wires and said I had a bad socket. I already knew that hence why I called them. They couldn't fix it/didn't want to and charged me $95 just to tell me I needed to go and buy a new light fixture. I will never recommend them ever. The electrician was friendly but didn't fix the bad socket that I called them for. read more

Updates from work done in June. I had 2 other electricians review this work that Modern Electric completed. They could not believe the holes were put in the walls. There was no need for this. Then I found out they did some of the work incorrectly, namely, the electrical box for the ceiling light. I wasted several 100s of dollars on Modern electric. Now I have to get it redone. He fixed my problem very quickly, but he was VERY expensive! He ripped me off! He quoted me $165/hr plus $25 trip charge. He was here only 1/2 hr and ended up charging me $350! He said he was charging me an hourly rate from when he left his business to come here, which was 45 min. then was also charging me another 45 min for the return trip! Who charges a $25 trip charge PLUS an hourly rate to and from?? He's a RIP-OFF who takes advantage of senior women! DO NOT USE MODERN ELECTRIC!! My landscape lighting and fountain kept going off in the backyard. Over the years I have had every big shot electric company in the Rogue Valley over to fix the short or whatever what causing these outages. They'd hit the reset button on electrical outlet and power would be on for a couple of weeks to months, but it never consistently worked. Today, I started reading reviews and realized Modern Electric was the only company with reviews within the past year and they were all glowing. My review is no exception. Dan found three problems, fixed everything and it's up and running. He worked in the rain and welcomed the challenge of this problem instead of wanting to get away as quickly as possible. One issue was I didn't have outside outlets!! All those other electricians never even mentioned that! Dan showed me every thing he repaired and replaced. I highly recommend Modern Electric.
