SO happy with Modern Electric, Daniel and the service level they provided. I have had some bad experiences with some local electricians, high and repeated trip charges, poor attitudes, not willing to take small jobs. I was delighted to connect with Daniel. I contacted Modern Electric for a small job, they came straight out, were prompt, extremely personable and did a fantastic job for one very reasonable charge, no trip charge, no extras tagged on. Daniel was so nice, he installed our ceiling chandelier and then removed it, modified the height to suit us changing our minds and reinstalled it again. Poor guy we had him up and down on the ladder. He was very gracious, even checked the chandelier each time with a level. Excellent work, great attitude and so so reasonable! Very happy, thank you so much Modern Electric and Daniel! read more

Once again Modern Electric came out and saved my life! My lights stopped working and needed extensive work and they came out same day and repaired the issue. As well as put up the new fixtures. I couldn't recommend them anymore! Great customer service, Kindest Employees and Quality work! read more

Modern Electric - Electricians Near Me

The job - Two 50 amp inlets for generators into two panels. Two separate 20 amp circuits into a wood working shop. 15 amp power output into a closet. Before the job - Dan called me back within 2 hours of me leaving a voice mail. We had a great chat and he said he'd be round on Friday to discuss our needs and give us a quote. He arrived on time and was impressive. He was able to provide a quote very quickly. The job - Justin and his partner arrived on time and were awesome. The quality of their work was outstanding. This was backed up by the county permit inspector who reviewed with "nice work". After the job - we will be working with Dan again in 2024 as we will have a major solar project with 64 panels and 90 kWh of battery storage. I cannot recommend them too highly. Responsive, friendly, great value and very high quality work. read more

This is the second time that I have used Modern Electric. They were out today to hook up a new hot tub. They arrived earlier than expected. They were polite and actually listened to my concerns. They were very thorough, checking everything that already existed before connecting the new hot tub. I have no worries. They left with me knowing it was a job well done. read more

Updates from work done in June. I had 2 other electricians review this work that Modern Electric completed. They could not believe the holes were put in the walls. There was no need for this. Then I found out they did some of the work incorrectly, namely, the electrical box for the ceiling light. I wasted several 100s of dollars on Modern electric. Now I have to get it redone. The holes took several weeks to fix. read more

They were at my house for 5min, separated a couple wires and said I had a bad socket. I already knew that hence why I called them. They couldn't fix it/didn't want to and charged me $95 just to tell me I needed to go and buy a new light fixture. I will never recommend them ever. The electrician was friendly but didn't fix the bad socket that I called them for. read more

After trying to schedule several electricians in the area with no return calls, I found reviews for Modern Electric -- and my luck changed. Danny returned my call the same day and scheduled a visit in less than a week. The new chandelier was hung with precision and the cause of a troublesome kitchen circuit was figured out and repaired. I've found my permanent electrician. Two thumbs up! read more

Danny is terrific. Honest, fair, knowledgeable. He gave us great advice, fixed our problems, and demonstrates a high standard of quality in the work he does. I recommend him highly, and would definitely call him for future electrical work. read more

Was on time and job was done in good time and the price was reasonable . I was very happy with his work

This company is absolutely amazing. Call and get someone to answer the phone it's just a defeat itself and they answered right away. I was doing a remodel on my house and I was referred to modern electric and they were prompt and did an amazing job I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone and everyone. read more

The job hasn't even started yet and I am SO impressed. Danny actually answered his phone (I'd been calling around for hours) and was SUPER helpful in explaining the city permit requirements and the labor and parts needed for our job. His hourly rate is super reasonable, too! His team is coming over tomorrow morning to do the wiring for a new dishwasher and garbage disposal. I expect good things and will certainly update this review when the job is done! read more

Dee Misenhimer * Shady Cove Author I called several referrals, but they either didn't call back or were too busy to come out, except for Modern Elect. He fixed my problem very quickly, but he was VERY expensive! He ripped me off! He quoted me $165/hr plus $25 trip charge. He was here only 1/2 hr and ended up charging me $350! He said he was charging me an hourly rate from when he left his business to come here, which was 45 min. then was also charging me another 45 min for the return trip! Who charges a $25 trip charge PLUS an hourly rate to and from?? He's a RIP-OFF who takes advantage of senior women! DO NOT USE MODERN ELECTRIC!! I guess they have to pay for their TV advertising somehow! read more

What an amazing company! It is unusual to get such responsiveness and professionalism these days, but Modern Electric delivers just that. They are communicative, timely, professional and reasonably priced. Everything you could ask for in a electrical company. The staff is TOP NOTCH - so skilled, professional and friendly. I will be recommending them to EVERYONE. read more

I would NOT recommend this company. They do not stand behind their work if there's a problem with it. They're not even willing to meet you halfway, just argue with you and get VERY rude. We had to spend thousands of dollars on a mistake they made and they would NOT take responsibility for it. NEVER again will we use this company. read more

Had a few problems I needed fixed based on a house inspection. Daniel Parrish reached out to me within an hour after using the "get a quote" on Yelp. He came out the next day and fixed all the issues super quick and even helped explain to me what I specifically needed for a fan replacement i asked about. Overall, it was a great experience. Quick, fairly priced, and professional. Will definitely use again if the need arises! Thank you read more

They came right out to finish a new range install for me. Very competent and fast service! Call them!

I recently purchased a house in Ashland. It had several electrical issues. I checked out Yelp reviews and decided to give Daniel a call. I am very glad I did. Daniel is an excellent electrician and knows how to trouble-shoot and solve problems. He installed an antique chandelier, got all the light switches working, and installed a new light sensitive "timer" on the outside porch. I found him very pleasant to work with, helpful, and professional. I would definitely recommend him. read more

Dan and a colleague came very soon after my call (which happened to be on a holiday), and fixed the problem fast.

I would highly recommend Modern Electric. We had an urgent need for an electrician at our business in Central Point on a Saturday afternoon. Not only did Daniel answer his phone when I called (no one else did), but he arrived at our business within 10-15 minutes. It was a bit of a challenging situation, but he stuck around and figured out the problem. We are so thankful for his prompt and knowledgeable help! read more

My landscape lighting and fountain kept going off in the backyard. Over the years I have had every big shot electric company in the Rogue Valley over to fix the short or whatever what causing these outages. They'd hit the reset button on electrical outlet and power would be on for a couple of weeks to months, but it never consistently worked. Today, I started reading reviews and realized Modern Electric was the only company with reviews within the past year and they were all glowing. My review is no exception. Dan found three problems, fixed everything and it's up and running. He worked in the rain and welcomed the challenge of this problem instead of wanting to get away as quickly as possible. One issue was I didn't have outside outlets!! All those other electricians never even mentioned that! Dan showed me every thing he repaired and replaced. I highly recommend Modern Electric. Dan has a strong work ethic and I consider the cost fair - especially since he worked straight through a rain storm! Bravo for honest and extraordinary service! read more
