So, me and my best friend went here today and 1. overpriced 2.did a bad job on both sets of pretty simple nails, (solid color and black French tip) and they didn't get the solid color correct nor could they do a simple French tip. I went to a younger boy, he glued my nails on & sent me to the older man, I showed a picture of the shape I wanted and he did the opposite! I wanted square and he gave me round & square! Most of my nails are crooked (especially on the edges). I inspected each nail once he was done filling & pointed out the length differences & shape but he didn't seemed to concerned that I was unsatisfied, he wanted to get me done so he could do the next two people that walked in. But I was not going to ignore his mistakes, so I pointed out the white tips I got were different lengths & crooked as well so he fixed them 2 times & they still turned out bad because he shaped the nails horribly! I suggested a design on two nails because it would take the distraction off the horrible shape. My cuticles are damaged & bleeding. Anyone wanna guess how much he charges me for this horrible work?! $50!!! -The last picture shows a chunk of nail missing because he took a small drill and went hard on them. read more

Vivi Nails is my go-to nail shop when I'm in the downriver area. They have $20 pedicures with warm stones and towels included, as well as the best foot massage around. They'll also do $5 eyebrow waxing. I don't get acrylic nails, so I can't judge on the quality of them; but for the pedi-eyebrow-foot rub? Great for pedicures, but terrible for acrylics. I was getting mine done for spring break, but now I'm embarrassed to show anyone my hands. The acrylic wasn't fully hardened when I was told I was done, and I'm hoping it to my car not one but three of my nails bent and another broke when trying to pick up something I dropped. Not just easily breakable, but the shape was absolutely horrendous. I asked for almond shaped kept asking while they were shaping the nails, and they came out a gross mix of almond stiletto and coffin. Definitely do not recommend going here for your nails. read more

The worst "manicure" I've ever had. I literally walked out before the nail tech could finish because honestly, I knew I'd be taking off the polish the second I walked out. My time is worth more than this. There was no conversation; no greeting; no customer service. The woman seemed annoyed that I had the audacity to visit for just a manicure. The remover she used for my old polish was the kind with the sponge inside a jar and had obviously been used by MANY MANY people before me. So unsanitary. The water to soak my cuticles barely covered my nails and was uncomfortably cold. She gobbed tons of lotion on my arms to the point that she couldn't get it to soak in and finally relented and ordered me to go wash my hands. The polish job was awful: no base coat and again with the gobs and gobs of polish. It was all over my cuticles, streaky and uneven. I tried to keep my cool but failed; I stopped her after one coat and high tailed it outta there to CVS where I bought polish remover. Honestly, my 12 year old does a better job and she charges way less. Lesson learned. read more

My mom and I get our nails done together every other Saturday, and have become fed up with rude, hurried service elsewhere and an unwillingness to repair mistakes. I got a full set with gel polish, and the young man did a great job. After several awful experiences with Nail Garden in Woodhaven, my nails were in such bad shape (lifting, damage to natural nail, discoloration, unevenness, etc), he had to soak off the existing nails and start over. He really took his time and listened to what I wanted. Very pleased with the results! My mom got a gel manicure with a clear, sparkly polish and was very happy as well. Great job! Ripped off my 17 year old daughter getting her 6 year old sister a mani-pedi for her birthday. Beware, yes the kid pedicure chairs are cute.. But are they worth 30 dollars more than you'll pay elseware? Was qouted 5 for manicure and 5 for pedicure everywhere else. Was qouted 25 for both here. Both my teen and myself were told numerous times by two different people 25 for a mani-pedi for her... Then was charged 40 for both. They misled and ripped off a teenager using her first part time job money to do something nice for her baby sister. Totally uncalled for. I'm so upset I'd give 0 stars if it were an option. Btw! I'm not a review person. This is my first bad review. I only review when I'm SO impressed I just have to brag on them... And when I'm very disappointed I just move on and never go back. I have never taken the time to write a bad review. But I'd hate for anyone else to think the cute princess pedicure care would be a nice treat for their little kid and get ripped off. My main problem is the lack of professionalism by the staff. The staff are foreigners and believe me, I have nothing against foreigners esp when they work hard at having their own business. I have been to Vivi Nails approximately 7 times with each visit becoming progressively worse. Yesterday's visit confirmed that I will never return. My husband and I went in for pedicures and a manicure for him. My husband's "nail technician," was a young man no more than 15 years old, who was obviously there working with the family while out on spring break. He had no idea what he was doing during my husband's pedicure, as the woman doing mine, would correct him in their native language. My husband's nails were jagged and a few of his cuticles were bleeding from incorrect use of the cuticle nippers. This young man was obviously not licensed and if he was an apprentice, no one was checking his work. Filing a complaint to the state is worthless, but reporting it here hopefully will keep enough people away. read more

The owner, who just waxed my eye brows in a complete rush should honestly learn the meaning of pride in her work. She didn't acknowledge me, the tip I gave her, and waxed my eyebrows down to nothing! I happened upon this place and thought "well my nail salon isnt open on Sunday so I'll stop here". Biggest mistake I've made in a long time. I am currently sporting the ugliest, most painful set of acrilics I've ever had! The older lady that did my nails was not the most friendly of people but I thought "as long as my nails look good who cares" She drew blood 3 times and that got me thinking, who else has their blood and on that rotary tool? As I type this, my nails are killing me. The nails are awkwardly shaped and crooked as well as sloppily done. On the upside, she did take about 20 minutes to put on a full set which is crazy fast. I went yesterday to get a pedicure, I expected some wait considering it's right before Christmas. They sat my friend and I down in the chairs, where we waited for about an hour. Even though 3 workers got done with clients, they still did not come and start our pedicures. Finally one woman came to do my friends, hers was finished before someone even came to do mine. They were on their phones and eating instead. When the man finally came to do mine after a few minutes he got up to answer his phone. Then talked on it for a good 5 minutes, then came back and would text every so often. While scrubbing my feet he cut both my big toes, my left so bad it was bleeding, and then just poured alcohol on it. When he asked me to pay I argued with him and he just walked away. I don't think they could understand what I was saying so she said to pay her 15 instead of 22. I will never go back. read more

i went into vivi nail salon with an optimistic mindset. what i was not expecting was my pedicure water to be ice cold, my nails to be suffering and bumpy because of the filing dust she neglected to brush off, and the staff to be absolutely discourteous. i greatly looked forward to coming in for a relaxing mid day experience. as soon as i walked in the door, i was greeted with a harsh "pick out a color". after that i was directed toward my pedi station with a poorly kept massage chair and cold water. the lady doing my nails didnt talk to me once my whole trip unless it was short 2 word sentences telling me what to do. after my amateur pedicure, i was hoping for a better experience with my mani. i, again, was led to another station which i was highly disappointed in. she again didnt even make eye contact and wiped off my previous polish with a sponge that was completely covered in other peoples nail polish residue. DISGUSTING. to remove her nail polish mistakes on my skin she dug her long nails into the sides of my nails, most times causing me to eek in pain. in all honesty, i will never come here again. as the result was the nail job i came in expecting, the staff personnel seemed bothered that i was in their presence and treated me as if i was a joke. read more
