If I could rate a zero I would! Gross!!! Unsanitary, they used a nail clipper from another workstation and tried to say it was already disinfected, and the water was cold...i told her over and over that it was cold, all she said was that it would get hot which it never did. I just pray I don't catch an infection from this pedicure. I just needed quick and near my home. I was in desperate need of a polish change. It was a Sunday and this was the only place open. They only take walk-ins. I've never been to this type of salon before, so I was a little scared. They greeted me immediately and I waited about 3 minutes. I sat down with "Cuong" and he came at my nails with a sanding tool that freaked me out. Normally, my polish is taken off with acetone and foil. I've never seen a sander come at me. Nail dust was flying everywhere. That can't be good for them to breathe that in all day. Anyway, Cuong put me at ease by being super gentle and meticulous with the removal. Never nicked my skin at all. He was done with 7 nails and then all of a sudden some other woman comes over, unplugs his tool, plugs hers in and starts going to town. She was NOT gentle. I couldn't figure out what just happened. She gets the polish off, kind of, and starts filing my nails. I washed my hands, Cuong is back in place and I asked him to fix my nails because she did a HORRIBLE job of filing. They were uneven and shredded on the ends.. He fixed them to my liking and then she's yelling to him why is he filing them again (I think that what she was yelling about). Poor guy's hands were shaking. He seemed to be very nervous. (Maybe he was new?) He finished the job, gave me a great polish. I think they just try to get as many people in and out that they can, but getting your nails done should be relaxing, not stressful. The price was right. The finished product was great, but they really need to not be in such a hurry. Quality is better than quantity for return customers. Not sure I'll go back unless I get Cuong. Update: less than a week later they're all coming off. No surprise since she didn't prep my nails properly. This place is a joke. Literally the worst manicure I've ever gotten. I walked in with long healthy nails and she filed them down to nubs. I had been growing them out specifically to get them done I'm so upset. There's shellac all over my fingers and instead of being precise with the nail polish she decided to be messy and then started cutting off my skin where the polish was stuck to once she was done and then filed the polish off on the sides of my fingers. There's also bumps and divots everywhere. She never shook the bottle of polish before putting it on my nails so the color is way different than the color on my toes which she did shake. I had to ask her to use alcohol before applying polish to my nails when there was the dust from filing all over my nails. She also filed after they were done so there was more dust on my nails and she never wiped them off, just put lotion over the top and rubbed it into my hands. i'm a little confused by the ratings here. I get my pedicures there and they always do an excellent job. I have gone in a couple times to get polish changes on my nails, and they always do a beautiful job. I went in today to have a nail fixed, and the owner could not have been nicer. She was going to fix it for nothing, I refused and paid her anyway. I think they do a nice job. read more

terrible. went in for a basic pedi with regular polish. the man barely cleaned up cuticles, didn't clean up/shape nails. he put the lotion on my legs & feet with them still dripping wet with water so the lotion did not abs into my skin. slapped the polish on too heavy so it bubbled & streaked. I asked for a repaint, just as bad. ended up having him remove the color & just put on a thin coat of clear polish. they never offered any type of compensation & I will never go back. read more

I've been comin here for years. Sometimes I have good experiences, others not so much. The woman In here are great. Cindy will fix her workers mistakes but she's rude abt it. The men however are horrible. When I went this time for my graduation nails The guy by the name cuoug? did them, Didn't do any of the things that come along with a pedicure. No file. No cut. No massage. Only cut with clippers. Very very rushed. My big toes were 2 different shapes. When I asked for them to be squared. The one that was squared was not straight. He pushed my feet around. If I ever come here I will never be letting him touch me again. However the lady with the really short hair is amazing. Nails always last so long when I get them from her. Cindy has great customer service but the quality job on my nails I rate a 2. I got the ombré done as she recommended. It looked super cute, but she placed the acrylic too far up on my cuticles and they were layered very thick. When the regrowth of my nails began, The gaps would get caught on things like my hair and pull it out. Ouch! I would recommend Cindy's Nails for their prices, because they are a couple dollars cheaper then other nail salons, but you get what you pay for.... read more

Price changes every time I go. All of a sudden they charge to take old nails off when you get a new set but never have before. I never know what I'm going to pay when I go. The top coat gets dull in not even a week because they're in too much of a rush to let it cure all the way. I've given them so many chances but I'm done. read more

Terrible. From start to finish. My phone call inquiry about pricing should have been my first clue. I was asking about prices for shellac and the woman on the phone was clearly annoyed that I had questions. I went anyway; due to convenience. I regret it. There were 4 or 5 employees there and I was only spoken 5 words. Pick color. Wash hands. Pay. That's it. The man that did my nails rushed through and made several mistakes. I questioned the cleanliness as well. I could 'possibly' deal with piss poor attitudes if they did a decent job on my nails but they didn't. I had color on my skin. My fingers got stuck (like glued on) to the inside of the UV light shellac thingy. And my shellac that should have lasted 2-3 weeks started peeling after a few days. Why? Because he got the color on my cuticles and the seal wasn't done properly. My suggestion, go somewhere else. Anywhere else. Again...terrible! read more

Anyone who has gone to Cindy's and are familiar with her punch cards be aware she does not honor those cards after pandemic. I have been a customer with Cindy since she opened 19 years ago! Had a completely punched card that entitled me for a free pedicure and she refused to honor it for me. So much for customer appreciation. Too bad for her there's many other salons in the area. Do not go here. I went in a couple weeks ago with my friend to get my nails done and she had put my acrylic on so thick and left air pockets and it created mold under my nails. I went to a different nail place to get a fresh set and they said that she had put it on so thick and left air pockets and used old acrylic that most places don't even use anymore and that's what created the mold. I should have known better then to come to this place, they charge me extra because of length the airbrush was $10 for a few lines my 14 mth old could have done a better job, also they put the tips way to close to the tip of your nails so there for they aren't very durable, all employees are very rude, you try to make conversation and they look at you and go through speaking their language or they just ignore you. I used to come here years ago but always just for a quick set ones that I knew I didn't need to last but maybe the weekend, yes that's bad. I normally go to Favi's in Southwest Detroit but they are by appointment and I needed them done for the upcoming weekend well let's just say I got them done less then 48 hours ago and they look like shit, all kinds of bumps in the acyrlic and uneven and 4 of them are already lifting, I knew I I should have just went without or stayed outta this place $40 later, absolutely awful absolutely never never again don't have a conversation with you just real cold. Just left...it was a terrible experience! The tech didn't respect my wishes on how like my nails done! The product was uneven and the filing left them jagged. She kept telling me to go back to a different salon when I pointed out my dissatisfaction. My nails look terrible and it was a total rip off. The shop was utterly filthy! Dirty, dirty, dirty. I went to this place to get artificial nails put on. The staff was rude. I was not greeted upon coming in. My nail tech neither introduced himself to me or spoke to me during the entire nail application. I asked for gel nails, but am not sure that I didn't receive acrylic, which should be fun when I get them filled somewhere else. The cleanliness of this shop is definitely in question. I didn't seen any tools being cleaned and there were three other customers getting their nails done, as well. When I asked the nail tech to please be gentle with the rotary tool he was using because I have thin nails, he grunted at me. When the nails were finished, they were EXTREMELY thick and oddly shaped. Even though I had told the nail tech that I wanted the nails painted pink, I was directed to the back of the shop and asked for the second time if I wanted nail art. When I finally agreed, I was given very poor quality art and then one of the employees practically insisted that she take a picture of my nails. They have a sign in the window stating that full sets were $25. My fault for not looking close enough and seeing that is only for Monday through Wednesday. The whole thing ended up costing me $40 and I spent the next evening filing them down so that they were a reasonable thickness and shape. Since they put gel nail polish over the nail art, I had to cover it with a dark polish because I couldn't even file it off the nail. I'm only giving this place one star because I don't have the option to give none. I go to Cindy for my nails for past six months. I moved nearly 30 miles away I still go to her. She is simply the best and is great at making sure I leave satisfied with every nail. Can I leave a zero rating? First when I sat down she had an elderly dude to clean my nails. Which I assume her husband. He did a terrible job few minute later she took it over and she didn't do better job either. This place was AWFUL. When I walked in, it seemed incredibly sketchy, but I came in on recommendation. It was the day before my wedding. I'm not high maintenance by any means, but I just wanted a simple one color manicure. Easy, right? The man who shaped my nails barely looked at me and never said a word to me. Didn't ask what shape I wanted, nothing. He buffed the crap out of my nails, and took off length I'd worked on for MONTHS. One of the girls painted my nails for me. She did 2 coats of color while standing up (no basecoat), and a topcoat. The color was totally sheer and looked like complete junk. So much for feeling like a bride. I went home and re-painted them myself. I wish I would have picked somewhere else. read more

I am not impressed with this place. This is the second time I've been here and it was my last. I only went there because I had a gift card, and maybe Id somewhat consider going back if they werent so rude. The first time I went my pedicure looked like a 5 year old painted my french manicure on.I also didnt think it was very professional how immature one of the employees there was acting around customers. Today I went back and mind you my nails are only a month old, I get a new full set every 2-3 months, so inbetween I just get fills. The young kid working told me right off the bat I needed a new full set and that they looked bad. I let him know they werent even old yet, and he didnt hesititate to tell me again that my nails were looking bad(after, they had already filled them). Yup, great way to get repeat business, by insulting customers. I was duped into an "UH-MAZING" $15 shellac by a friend who goes here often. I'm used to paying around $25 so I was already skeptical but decided to try it out. Who knows, maybe I was missing out on some hidden gem of a manicure for a low low price. First thought walking in; ICK. Icky nasty gross looking. I should have just walked out right then. Friend saw my apprehension but assured me it's great. Since I already had an old shellac on my nails from a few weeks prior, the employee had me dip my fingers in a bowl of acetone. After my pulling my cold pruney fingers out of the bowl, she takes a heavy duty emery board and begins filing the old shellac off, even to the point she's filing the top of my already delicate thin nails. Then she begins the process of pushing back my cuticles. At this point I was ready to confess to kidnapping the Lindbergh baby, it was that painful. I'm wincing and pulling back my hands but that only makes her grip tighter. The color is applied at record speed (what's the rush? We're the only ones in here.) Oil is liberally applied all over my fingers and I'm then told to wash them off. After all that, I gave my money and speed walked outta there with my hastily applied shellac and throbbing fingers nearly intact. Please, save yourself the trauma and go some place else. This place is absolute trash. I have never experienced anything worse. I told the lady that I only wanted shellac and no manicure. She did the manicure anyways even though I told her not to then charged me $30 after when just shellac should be $15. I ended up payed double for a terrible looking rushed manicure. Both myself and my daughter came in to get simple acrylic fills-we were both pushed and and rudely told we should get shellac-we both refused. somehow the price of a simple fill went from $13 to $23 for having to take off previous polish and a slight shorten-and then wanted to charge an extra $4 for painting one nail a different color! huh?! the staff were so rude I was left speechless-yanking my daughters hand saying "relax your fingers then" after she complained she had cut her! 3xs with the drill!! the polish is already wearing after 3 days, dips and scratches in the acrylic itself-to say it was poorly done is an understatement!! I would love to leave her a better review because the first time my nails where great and I loved them. But the second time OMG HORRIBLE! I got a shellac and my thumb nail was melted! My other nail chipped off a day later and the other one shortly after that. She did my nails standing up with no care apply nail and put it in the heater. The end result was bulky, heavy nails that are ugly. I came to have her fix them she painted over it! she was not interested and kind of rude. NEVER will I go there again and I paid and tipped good there too ughhhh bye. She lost a great customer, actually two because I brought my father he got pedicures both times. Thank God I found a way better salon. And the new place spent 1 hr fixing my nails after her. read more
