I appreciate the covid procedures they have in place! I can tell they take it seriously. I went in one night and it was not packed at all. The cashier was very helpful in explaining the menu and making suggestions and I needed up getting the Oreo Creme Brulee Milk Tea. It was delicious! Definitely need to shake before sticking the straw in to get maximum flavor! And Oreo tastes great in anything really but I thought it was really good with milk tea. There boba is also very good. It's soft but not too soft and perfectly chewy. I would recommend this place if you are looking for good milk tea!

Very cool hip & trendy place. Patient friendly staff. I'm fairly new to the bubble tea realm so I don't have my go to order yet. The guy at the counter helped walk me through all of the options. With milk. With powder instead for lactose intolerance. Many many options to choose from. Going to possibly be a regular here to go through the menu. Prices are in line with other places I've seen. Very clean place. Looking forward to coming back for sure.

This spot is for sure a staple in New Haven! The menu, service, and flavor is 100% worth it. They have a wide variety from authentic drinks to deserts. I'm never disappointed with my choice of bubble tea for each visit. I'm so happy of all the business they've received because we need more places like this! The sit down area has been reduced recently, I assume due to the pandemic. So, I'd recommend picking up from this spot rather than enjoying it inside! Before the pandemic, the atmosphere for seating was very modern and trendy! So sad we don't have more bubble/boboa tea spots in the area :(

Taro Milk Tea with Tapioca

My very first boba experience was so great. I loved my taro milk tea! I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. I will remember not to get tapioca next time though because I didn't like getting the tapioca with every sip I took. I will be returning to try others!

Flaming brown sugar milk

I come here pretty often and am usually pleased with their boba. This time they served me milk instead of milk tea but the flaming brown sugar milk is still really tasty. I got it with 50% sugar, it could do with 25% sugar for the milk, but I bet the milk tea would be perfect! It's a good place to stop by for boba and cldrinjs in general.

Flaming Brown Sugar Milk Tea at 50% less sugar with boba. It tatsed just like plain whole milk, but slightly sweeter.

The first time I came here I got the oolong milk tea with boba for myself and Thai tea for my husband. My oolong milk tea was watery, almost tasteless. The boba was hard and not sweet. The Thai tea was so bitter, my husband said it was nearly not worth drinking. I had also gotten a mango ice cream macaron. The macaron cookie was suppose to be dyed orange but it looked brown because the cookie had been so overbaked, it was nearly burnt. The ice cream sorbet part was ok. Just sweet with artificial mango flavor. I just gave ViVi Tea another visit to see if it would be better this round. I paid $5.25 for a medium flaming brown sugar milk with boba. I had asked for 50% less sugar and I guess that was the only thing giving the drink flavor because it tasted like lightly sweetened milk. If someone had poured this milk into my cereal bowl, I don't even know if I would have noticed that it's not plain milk. The boba this time was chewy and sweet--the only redeeming part of this drink. Over priced and terrible drinks. I will go back to making my own milk tea with fresh steeped tea and fresh cooked boba. Better to spend time making it myself than trying to treat myself by buying a drink from the restaurant and having it be worse than a drink I botch at home. My other complaint is the shop smells stale and slightly like body odor inside by the tables. First time I came here, the wait was very long for the drinks and the the customer service was subpar (it seemed like they don't like working there). This time, the customer service was just average (no smile but at least speedy). You can try this place once for yourself and you will see what I mean.

It wasn't a bad place. A medium milk bubble tea is pretty cheap - especially with the shop being in the middle of New Haven where a bunch of college kids roam around. There isn't much of a seating area - there's some small two person tables lined up on the side and then theres a few tables in a back; cute little lounge area too. Overall, the place is simple, cutely decorated, and cheap. Love that like most milk tea places, it allows for customers to customize their drinks (i.e. ice amount, bubbles/no bubbles, many types of tea, different cup sizes, sugar amount, etc.).

In NYC, Vivi is my go to place for bubble tea. Happy to see that they opened in New Haven. Tapioca pearls were a bit harder than the one in NYC. I am assuming its because they are not able to serve fresh tapioca pearls due to lower sales volume. Oreo creme brulee flavor was fine. Flaming brown sugar was not that great. Next time I will be trying some other flavors.

Fresh milk tea with pudding

Went here after a delicious lunch for some refreshing boba. I've been here a few times and it never disappoints. The tea is always fresh and the service fast. Somehow I always come right before a big rush of people but the employees are able to get through the crowd fast. This most recent time I got the fresh milk tea with pudding. I didn't realize the fresh milk tea series was made with lactaid free milk and I was very pleased to know because I am lactose intolerant! I had never tried to pudding either and my friend told me to try it because it was good. I was a bit wary but it was great! The pudding wasn't in ball form like I thought it may be, it was more so in large chunks that break up as you sip on the drink. The pudding was slightly sweet but nothing overbearing. One improvement I have for the establishment was that it always smells very smoky and like they had just fried something (probably because they serve snacks like Taiwanese style fried chicken and takoyaki). Perhaps better ventilation could fix that because it's quite a hot spot where people stay for a good period of time before leaving

Thai tea with bubbles one medium and one large!

My boyfriend (mostly him) and I are regulars at ViVi so it's insane how I've yet to support this small business with a solid five stars, they are super busy but totally worth it. VERY nice people and very clean given the circumstances latly due to covid. They have TONS of options to choose from for drinks and you simply ask for the boba (bubbles) however you wanna cal them if you want them. They are these chewy tapioca balls that make this all the more better. They also have macaroon ice cream sandwiches which I'll get again soon and show y'all how amazingly great that ish is. Ill make it simple for y'all, I love this place!!!!

Taro slush and Taro milk tea were both delicious. Service was quick. Street parking is a challenge.

Natural Kitchen - Poke Menu

Natural Kitchen

If you're a fan of poke bowls, Natural Kitchen is a spot that absolutely deserves a visit. I…read morerecently stopped in and ordered their signature bowl, The Triforce, and it was hands-down the best poke bowl I've ever had. The Triforce is loaded with tuna, salmon, and shrimp, paired with fresh pineapple and crisp cucumber, then topped with kani salad, seaweed salad, green onion, and roasted seaweed. Everything is brought together (sitting on top of your choice of rice, I chose sushi rice) with their poke special sauce and sweet chili sauce, which adds just the right balance of savory and sweet without overpowering the seafood. What really stood out was the freshness of every ingredient in the bowl. The fish tasted incredibly clean and high quality, the pineapple added a bright pop of sweetness, and the seaweed and kani salad gave the bowl a great mix of texture. Every bite felt perfectly balanced, and you could tell that nothing had been sitting around -- it all tasted freshly prepared. Beyond the food, the experience was great as well. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, making the whole visit feel relaxed and enjoyable from the moment I walked in. It's always nice when a place combines excellent food with genuinely good service. Overall, Natural Kitchen completely exceeded expectations. Between the incredibly fresh ingredients, the well-thought-out flavors in the Triforce bowl, and the friendly staff, this place has quickly become a must-visit for poke lovers in the Milford area. If you're looking for a fresh, flavorful meal, this spot absolutely delivers.

First off Fin and Scale has moved and is now located on Chapel Street. Unfortunately the Yelp…read moreaddress had not been updated and we went to the old location. Luckily I went to their website and found out where their current location is (I also updated the business page so hopefully the new address shows) I had not been to the old location so I cannot speak to it but we were a bit confused when we arrived as there was no sign on the awing of the building. My friend had told me that new location was next to Ricotta Bakery so we went in to ask. We were told that we ordered there and the food would be brought to us next door. Of note you can also order from the Ricotta menu which has bakery and non sushi items We ordered and went to wait for our food which was sent out through a pass through for pick up. The space is large but the decor is very sparce . That being said the food was the star of the show. All of the rolls we order (and we ordered several) were fresh and tasty. We left with full bellies which we doesn't always happen when we go for sushi. So don't let the lack of signage and space decor deter you - it's a great place to visit.

The staff was so helpful and kind. The food looked as good as it tasted! I am not typically a miso soup fan and I couldn't get enough! A hearty broth with a tad of spice. The kani salad was amazing and I could have eaten it all day. The rolls were as delicious as they were beautiful. The chicken dishes were good, but the real star in my opinion was the sushi options. I will order more of that when I make a return trip. Definitely worth the visit!
