I loved this place! Such a cute spot that felt like your friends house and not a salon. Tiffani Duran did my cut and color, I got a blonde balayage and it looks so good! They even sent me home with some product to try out! I will definitely be coming back to Tiffani Duran for all my hair needs! read more

I have to say I have been going to hair salons for many years but my favorite is Salon Vivace. I love the atmosphere all the girls are so sweet and the salon is adorable. My hair stylist is Alli she listens to what I want and will make recommendations for hair product. She has never failed me I love my hair. Most of my friends go to Alli now, I enjoy running into them when I am there. Alli you are the best. read more

Everyone should go to Vivace! From the moment you walk in everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I absolutely love my stylist Alli! She is amazing at color, cut and styling. I always leave the salon with my dream color and styled to perfection. read more

I LOVE this salon and its staff. I've had my hair done by a couple of stylists there due to scheduling and was never disappointed. Sometimes you need a professional to talk you out of bad decisions which is exactly what I needed. I have never left here unhappy and love that I have found a place where I can truly trust anyone there touching my hair. Out of all the great stylists there I really want to point out Taylor and Rachael. They both have wonderful skills and an eye for style. read more

This salon is the cutest place I've been to right in the heart of downtown Pleasanton!! I got my hair done by Jessica Brown and she's so sweet just love her!! I got a full head of highlights and shadow root and I was out of there in two and a half hours with a full blowout and curls! Thank you Jess!!! Also they have all the Kevin Murphy products which I love! read more

I went into Salon Vivace for a conditioning treatment and haircut with Jessica Brown & loved my experience there. She listened to my hair concerns and was able to answer any questions I had about my hair. She was very personable and was time efficient. I am in love with how my hair turned out and will definitely be returning to the salon. read more

I've been coming to Rachel for a little over a year now and she is absolutely amazing! I came in with long all-over-platinum blonde hair and she gave me a sassier, trendier look: shorter, darker, balayage. I love the salon, love that I'm always offered a glass of wine or water when I walk in, and that I can come in telling her I just need something different and she knows exactly what to do. HIGHLY recommend the salon and Rachel! She does my eyebrows too and always fixes my makeup and hair if I have plans afterwards :) read more

Initially i went in for a consult and the person who I had a consult with she was like a level 4 or 5 stylist she asked me what I wanted and told her and she just looked @ my hair and said I'll set you up with of our lower level sylists, I ended up with Celine I believe. She was so sweet. Told her what look I was trying to achieve, my hair is dark dark and I wanted to go lighter. I totally understand that it is a process to do, and that I'm not gonna get the look I want in a day. Well first session was good I got light brown balayage highlights I was happy, it looked good. Fast forward to second session I was disappointed, I left with my hair looking darker than it was she kept saying something about toning down my hair, and I've been to previous hairstylists that get my dark hair blonder each session and for some reason my hair ended up darker than it was I was not happy. I even brought her some extensions and said hey can you take a look this is kind of the look I'm achieving and she didn't even bother to look at them. I mean I felt like I paid a second time to get my hair to look like it did the first time I wasn't happy at all. And as I read in another review as well "it does feel like a sorority house in there" I could hear them talking about clients as well. I just didn't get a cool vibe. read more

Amazing salon! I've had my hair done twice by two different stylists and they have both done such a wonderful job. Fabulous attention to detail and my hair always looks incredible! read more

5 stars no doubt. Its just a great place to be in with great people. Great atmosphere. Great haircuts too.

I am a 55 year old woman that needed a severe hair style intervention! So I switched things up a bit and gave Salon Vivace a try. I could not have been more happy with my experience. Taylor gave me exactly what I was looking for. A hairstyle that works and ideas on how to wear my hair. The environment is warm and welcoming. I would absolutely recommend Salon Vivace and especially Taylor!!!! read more

Cute salon & great service. They are open late Tues-Thurs which is a plus. Love my new haircut. Macy is awesome! New clients are provided with a card for various discounts on future services. read more

Salon Vivace is great! I have naturally curly, fine hair and I color it - can make for a disaster. Denise does a fantastic job with my hair - always get compliments and I love the style, easy to work with. I've gone to many other salons and haven't been totally satisfied with my cut. I will search no more!!! My friend has Rachel cut her hair and she also does a good job. I also love the location, very cozy and quaint. read more

I LOVE this little Salon in Pleasanton. Alana cut my hair for years when I lived in the area and I absolutely love her. Besides being great with the scissors, she's also amazing at special occasion hair and make up! Highly recommend!!! read more

If anyone is looking for a great salon/hair dresser- don't look any further- go here! The first time I came to Vivace immediately I was welcomed with such warm smiles and drinks, the front desk girl was so sweet. I've gotten a cut and a treatment done by Taylor Herne, she is AMAZING. When it comes to my hair, it's like my baby, and I like it a certain way and Taylor has done that every time! She's so sweet, has such great knowledge on hair and what you need done. I got a cut a few days ago and a treatment done today- my hair feels SO soft and smooth. Go get the treatment with Taylor! I've found my salon/hairdresser I'll be going for the rest of my life! I've been avoiding this review for 3 months now. I'm not one to leave bad reviews but it pains me not to. I loved the ambiance of Salon Vivace, I was impressed with the location as well as the beautiful interior and exterior. However, my haircut and color was the worst (and most expensive) I've ever had. My requests were fairly simple, blonder (I was dirty blonde at the time) and a nice cut with a long side swept bang (I had a picture of Cameron Diaz from In Her Shoes). My hair ended up looking ashy blonde (even more dirty blonde than when I came in). My bangs were terrible. She didn't have my hair parted in it's usual spot when she started cutting my bangs so my bangs were much shorter than I wanted. As she was cutting she kept saying "like this?", I have no idea, I don't cut hair, that's why I brought a picture. To top it off, the blow dry and curling was embarrassing to walk out of the salon with. My bangs were poofy and the curls were tight. I was charged for a root uplift (which I didn't request) AND a full highlight (why both?), as well as a cut, and who knows what else. Why don't salons ever tell you what you're paying for? I hate that you always end up with a mystery number at the end with no breakdown of what you paid for on the receipt. I ended up paying $223 for the worst hair service I've ever gotten. Also, the receptionist seemed a bit moody and cold throughout my time there. Ashy blonde, messed up bangs, and a huge dent in my wallet is what I ended up with. Needless to say, I cried when I got home. I'm sorry for the bad review but this one was unavoidable. read more

This salon is INCREDIBLE!! Taylor is the absolute best and always wows me with her work. She is so fun and easy to talk and connect with and goes above and beyond to explain everything to you and make sure you're both always on the same page, she is realistic and soooo educated! i have learned so much from her about my hair and how to get and keep it healthy! Everyone here is always so nice and welcoming and accommodating and it's just all around an amazing loving, caring and welcoming vibe that this salon has! LOVE IT HERE SO MUCH! Do yourself a favor and go into this salon, book with Taylor, and just experience this amazing total package experience this salon has to offer, trust me your hair will forever be thankful! read more

TAYLOR IS THE BEST! Every time I come in & show pictures she explains what is actually possible to get in one session/might need multiple sessions. She always tells me when I need a hair cut or need to take a break from bleach so I can have healthy hair which I love. She really knows what she's doing & ive never left the salon unhappy. One time I was desperate to get my hair done before leaving town & she was booked up so I booked with someone else at the salon but when I got there Taylor knew I wanted her to do it so she squeezed me in after her last client! :) She is SO KIND & always remembers what we talked about at our my last visit & starts conversation right where we left off. read more

I went to Salon Vivace because someone highly recommended them, especially Alana. The place is quaint, both inside and out, however, I do not believe that just because a place is quaint means that the service will be great. When I came for my appointment I had to wait 20 minutes before I was taken. I came in for a shampoo and cut, and felt as if I were being rushed through both. After my hair was shampooed Alana rinsed my hair very briefly, which can cause dry scalp. My hair was below shoulder length and I told her I wanted it cut short enough to touch my shoulders. I even showed her a picture of the style I wanted. However, she ended up cutting off to much hair, and the cut didn't look anything like the picture I had shown her. I've had better cuts from Supercuts for half the amount that I paid at Salon Vivace. I don't think I'll be going back. read more

I came up to East Bay for a wedding weekend and didn't have time to go to a hair salon in LA where I'm from. I chose this place based on the reviews and the pics of other customers were really cute. Luckily, my hotel wasn't far from here so I booked an early appt. They were able to accommodate me and my stylist, Ally, really did an amazing job. She was very helpful with my cut and even styled my hair when I told her that I was attending a wedding later that day. My hair is stick straight and doesn't hold any style but the waves she did on my hair stayed on throughout the night which was really awesome! It's definitely one of the best haircuts and style I've ever had. I just wish I can come up every time my hair needs a little TLC. read more

Alright everybody, this is my first review written on Yelp Ever!!!! Kinda nervous, lol. But I'll tell ya what I'm not nervous about, Salon VIVACE! Love it here. Rachel is hella dope and an artistic stylist at the top of her game. The atmosphere welcomes any and all walks of life, even me!:-) Salon VIVACE is family owned and a great place to share in conversation and have a good laugh amongst friends. Try it out, you wont't go wrong. And if your not into all of the above, then at least feel reassured you'll walk away feeling and looking Crispy (beautiful). Enjoy yourself. Your Welcome read more

I was searching a hair stylist to help me with a different and fresh look. Met Savannah , a great hairstylist. I am sure she would remember me as first I didn't like the cut and was offered a complimentary haircut by them. Savannah is awesome and very knowledgeable. She understood my problem and gave me a rocking haircut just before my Sandiego trip. Almost all my friends now want to get the same cut :) Thank you Savannah. Its a nice and warm salon. I hope to meet you in 6 weeks. read more

Get in here! This place is the best! I adore all of the girls, but Macy is my stylist. Love her! She can handle all kinds of hair and uses cutting edge techniques (pun intended). I have been seeing her for about 5 years (cut and color) and also take my three daughters to see her. I have never been disappointed! I look forward to my time that I spend in Macy's chair. In addition, the salon uses Kevin Murphy products (free of harsh chemicals and animal friendly). read more

I started going to Amanda because she is a coworkers wife. She's so friendly and fun to talk to. I was very happy with all that she has done to my hair. Even my fiance who is very picky loved her work. The salon is such a nice location. It is so cute and welcoming. I will be continuing to use Amanda for all my hair needs. She is knowledgable about products and different styles. If i could give 10 stars, i would! read more

I've been getting my hair done here for almost 10 years and it is simply the BEST hair salon. Both Denise and Rachel are so fantastic in their skills and customer service so you leave feeling like you've been 'beautified'. Their salon is always top-notch service, the products they sell are the highest quality and they go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of and pampered. This place is adorable and everyone on the staff is super sweet. I have some difficult hair due to health issues and Missy never fails to come up with ideas to help keep it looking healthy and stylish. She always works with my schedule to get me in at the most convenient time and the prices are way more reasonable than a lot of the surrounding salons. Plus you earn points to spend on products and services just for paying for the services you are already there for. My new favorite salon! read more

Best hair salon in Pleasanton! They do an amazing job, from booking appointments to the final styling! Savannah listens well and is great at making a style work for your hair. My hair usually takes 1-1.5 hours at other salons, but she does a better job in 30-45 minutes. The prices are fantastic, for the quality of haircut. read more

Super happy with my experience. Went for the first time, I forgot about the street fair that happens the first Wednesday of the month. I called because I had a hard time finding parking and how to navigate the closed streets. The sweet gal who answered my call stayed on the phone with me helping me with turn by turn directions. (and never sounded frustrated, which Im sure I was!) She even offered for me to park in the driveway. I could tell she wanted my first experience to be a good one. Once I arrived I was offered a drink, coffee, tea, soft drink, then the magic word beer or wine! YES PLEASE! Katie was my stylist and was super sweet. She offered me a deep conditioning treatment and it was 10$ for first time clients, I wanted to treat myself so I went for it! Enjoyed a nice relaxing scalp massage. I showed her pictures of what I wanted and was pleased with the outcome. She did notice that there was build up on my scalp which I knew about but didn't know how to address. She suggested a couple products and I bought because I figured it was worth a try. Will come back for sure! Hair cut, deep conditioner, and three products came to 106. Super affordable in my opinion! read more

After asking around for a salon in town, I got multiple referrals to Vivace. I took a shot in the dark and took a random appointment with Ally, and I'm so glad I did! She was so cute and easy to talk to, and even though I had relatively no idea how to explain what I wanted, I came out of my haircut loving it, it was better than I had pictured! I highly recommend this salon and Ally!! The price was extremely reasonable for just a haircut, much lower than other salons in downtown pleasanton. read more

This has been a long over due review for Missy... She gave me a cut a while ago and I absolutely loved it! Told her I wanted to take a little bit off but had some issues with my hair like it growing out like a mushroom since I have a ton. I also curl my hair every day and it started not to hold so I needed some help. She took off more than I asked for but so happy she did! Came out looking amazing and my curls last so much longer now. My hair still looks bomb after I think it's been two months since I've seen her. She is my go to girl now! read more

As an east coast girl with curly hair, it took me a while to stop flying back to PA to get my hair done!! I am so glad that Tiffany S was recommended to me by a friend as I have never looked back. Every time I change my color scheme I get compliments for weeks from my peeps because Tiffany does such an amazing job of layering balayage and paying attention to the way I usually wear my hair to ensure I get the maximum pop of color! Her cuts are intuitive to your hair pattern to make styling a breeze when you get home so no more of that "Huh, how did they make it look like that???" when you get home!! The salon itself is very quaint and conveniently located close to DT Pleasanton. Parking is plentiful too which is helpful for someone who thinks "on time" is early :) read more

I have been going to Salon Vivace for a couple of years now and absolutely recommend Tiffany! She always does a good job cutting my hair. I recently got married and was ready for a change in hairstyle. I knew I wanted to go shorter but that's all I told Tiffany. She worked her magic to create the perfect layered bob and I love it! Everyone that works at the salon is so friendly and attentive. They always offer water/coffee/tea when you arrive and make sure your experience is good. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair. read more

I have had the pleasure of getting ready at Salon Vivace for two weddings, as a bridesmaid and as the bride! Both experiences were fun, relaxing and memorable. I have had three hair dressers in my 47 years that I love the way they cut and color my hair and Kristi-Gilmore Smith is the best of them all. My experiences prior today with hair cuts and deep conditions have been great, but today's experience changed that for me. I went in for highlights to get blonder because I'm going to Hawaii in 2 weeks. However, they didn't turn out as blonde as I had hoped for, in fact, it was the same color I had naturally before my last hair cut.. For some reason the haircut she gave me took away my natural blonde in the front. In addition to that, I was charged an extra 30 dollars for extra toner that I was not informed of. I was shocked to see my bill and was very unhappy about it, especially when all they did was make my hair a tiny bit blonder again. The people here are really nice, so I feel a little bad for posting this, but I am just very unhappy with the money and color. This place definitely lost my business. read more
