The front desk is incredibly friendly and parking is easy. Cindy did great on my nails and was very patient with me as I figured out the design I wanted. I went during their grand opening week and even though they were super busy they did not slack on the quality and time they took to do my nails. Anna helped me and she was down to change the color 3 times for me to get it right! The place also felt very new and clean with modern vibes. Anna did a great job w my nails and it was really similar to the picture I showed her. They were also serving drinks and light refreshments which was so nice. And in the end I got a cute little gift. The store has nice pleasing esthetic, very clean and modern, the complimentary virgin mojito is a nice touch. Too many nail color options, not enough time to decide. You feel very rushed when choosing a color. Multiple technicians approached us to ask us if we had picked our color, this was in a 5 minute window. Be weary of Irene and Tina, they are both young, one is 27 and the other is 35. My mom use to own a nail salon, most of the women in my family are nail technicians, so I am very aware of the environment and work place. Irene and Tina didn't know I speak Vietnamese, they smile to your face and spoke poorly about you behind your back. It wasn't just me they spoke about, but as customers came through the door. Very high school gossiping comments. When I made the comment that I didn't know how to turn on the massage chair, instead of offering to help and provide good customer service, they stayed where they were, and proceeded to talk to each other about how I am "old, indecisive, must be my first time ever getting my nails done, is dumb for not knowing how to turn it on, ect." I figured it out, no thanks to them. I sat there with my girlfriend and proceeded to listen to their banter and gossip, I bit my tongue a few times. I did confront them before leaving. Not sure if it was Irene or Tina, she looked shocked then tried to change the subject, I didn't let it slide. I didn't make a big scene, I understand that this is their livelihood and I debated whether or not to leave a review. But after speaking with my mom, and multiple girl friends, they encouraged me to leave a review. At least to warn future customers what they can expect. If you have a Vietnamese friend, make sure you bring them with you, you never know what they will hear. Oh and we definitely will not be coming back, in case you were wondering. I made an appointment after seeing their grand opening special of 50% off all services and opted for a builder gel cat eye set. The first lady who prepped my nails did not soak or do any cuticle work on my nails. It is more apparent a day after my manicure. However, I was then handed off to Nhi who did my shaping and nail color and she was wonderful! She took the time to make sure they were all even and to my liking and was gentle throughout the whole process. This salon also had a wide range of nail colors to choose from. I walked into Viva Nails shortly after they opened up for business for a hard gel manicure and pedicure. The lady working as a receptionist in the front immediately asked me did I have an appointment and I said no. She had really poor customer service skills and told me thot I would need an appointment for the service requested. She also told me that's the way things are done in this area. Her response was really offensive to me and the vibe was very uncomfortable. I let her know that she did not need to tell me how they do things over here because I have lived in this community for 5 years. She made me feel as if I could not afford the services that I was asking for. I looooove this place. I came in for a gel x cat eye set done by the nail hokage Mhi. She did not disappoint. She is so sweet, friendly, and easy to talk to. Sunday, 3/1 I had a gel mani done with Nhi. Nhi was fantastic because she took the time to ask what nail shape/concerns I had. Nhi was gentle, the last place I went to the technician was a little heavy handed. I selected Cat Eye polish and it turned out beautifully. The Salon has so many colors/treatment options. I did a cateye manicure and regular pedicure less than a week ago, unfortunately two of my fingernails broke even though i have really thick nails and i got gel manicure, so that has never happened to my nails before. Also, my nail tech picked a light color for my pedicure which did not cover my white nail pigmentation so it was very see through and did not look clean and pretty at all (no hard feelings to the tech, i just don't think she put enough coats and didn't let me keep my nails under the light long enough). So i reached out to Tammy, the lady who did my nails my first time ever at the salon (i was obsessed with my nails when she did them); she was so understanding! She booked me an appointment with Anna who re-did my pedicure and my cateye gel manicure for no charge - LITERALLY ZERO $ They did not even accept any tips. They're such angels! It's a lovely aesthetic place but I recently received a text saying 10% off the entire service, in which I spent over $400 and only received a $13 discount. They began talking to each other in their language and made up a discount! I didn't make a big deal of it and paid but I just feel as though they should honor the discounts that they send out. I came in for a fix on my nails, cause three of them broke. They didn't have an appointment until 3 PM, which I was totally fine with. So I was gonna come back and then they ended up having somebody walk in that was able to do my nails. Her attitude the whole time was not professional. She asked me three times what I wanted to do with my nails, and I told her that I wanted to cut them down all of them not just three of my nails but all of them. and when I asked her about the crack in my nails, if it was gonna continue to crack, all she did was put glue on it to "fix it" and she asked me if I wanted acrylic.. at first I didn't want acrylic but when I kept asking her, are my nails going to still crack, even though I'm not gonna put acrylic on she looked at me like I had asked her a ridiculous questions. and her response to that which is very nasty. And her whole demeanor the whole time with me was just not professional and disrespectful. I tried to be respectful. I was telling her thank you I appreciate her for doing this for me, and no response. When it was time for me to finish, she was like OK you're done. No have a good day or anything and just trying to rush me out of her chair. I went to Anna and I will not be back. I really liked when Irene did my nails the first time, but I just didn't care for the unprofessionalism and the lack of respect from Anna. read more
