I recently went to Shila Eyebrow Threading and had a mixed experience. I got my brows threaded and added a tint. The shaping itself came out really nice -- I actually loved how my brows looked in the end. Clean, defined, and exactly the look I was going for. However, my main concern was with the tinting process. I was told the tint would be left on for about 10 minutes, but it ended up being closer to 30 minutes without any heads up or explanation. During that time, my eyebrows became extremely itchy, which made me uncomfortable. I'm not sure if it was a reaction or due to the tint being left on longer than expected, but it definitely didn't feel right. Everything turned out fine visually, but better communication -- especially when something changes during the service -- would have made a big difference in the overall experience. read more

I've visited Shila Eyebrow Threading several times and have consistently received great service, always leaving satisfied with my eyebrows. However, during my most recent visit a few days ago, the usual staff who thread my eyebrows were either at lunch or unavailable. The lady typically at the front counter was the only one present and offered to thread my brows. I requested a simple clean-up, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. She was much rougher than usual--while threading can be uncomfortable, this time it was noticeably more painful. Additionally, she removed too much hair, resulting in unevenness at the top and bottom of the brow, as shown in the attached photo. I gave three stars because I'm generally pleased with the results, but based on my last visit, I feel she should remain at the front desk and leave threading to the other staff. read more

A few days ago while getting my brows threaded by Shila, I told her I was finally, seriously getting ready to have consultations for microblading. My extremely thin eye brows added 15 to 20 minutes in the morning just to make them look somewhat even, and still just okay-ish most days. That's when she told me that Shilas Eyebrows Threading has also been Microblading for a while. Once I saw the before and after pictures I made an appointment right there on the spot for the very next day for the service. I really like this place, been coming for a year now. They do a great job at shaping and maintaining my brows. However I have to take a star off because they're not the best with appointments. They really push making an appt on their website, which is awesome. Makes it a lot easier than calling or walking in. But when you get inside, you sign in on a sheet of paper and just mark whether or not you had an appointment or if you're just a walk-in. The girls NEVER check the sheet to see who's next or who circled that they have an appointment. They just call your turn in order that you walked in. So more often than not, I'm waiting 20 min past my appointments for my turn because of walk-in customers who got here before me. Not rly fair and kinda makes appointments useless. read more

I will never go anywhere else. I refuse to. The only time you ever go anywhere else is when you are unsatisfied with what you are currently getting. I never get less than 100 from Shila or her staff. I usually prefer Shila only because we go back to almost a decade when I came in as a teenager with furry brows. However, today was one of the days I forgot that Shila works at her other location. I'm on this side for a good portion of the day so I thought I'll just let the staff do a quick clean up today. Mona was FABULOUS. #minishila right there! Her technique is quick, her eyes must be sharp cause I didn't think I needed that much of a clean up, and her hands are light. For a moment during the session, I felt so at ease, I almost fell asleep. :D Then I nudged myself awake...and started to think how I could update this review. This is my place of choice.
