If you're thinking about going to this place for a first try for your brows...DON'T! My brows were completely ruined! I walked as a first time client. I was warmly greeted by two women working and I informed that it was my first time coming to this location that I was referred by a friend. I explained to one of the ladies that was going to be servicing my eyebrows that I wanted a light clean up and tenting done. I was priced for $35. Which was $11 more than what I usually pay for those particular services. But I was in need of a new place because my original brow lady went back to her country. After the service was complete. I was given a mirror to review the work that had been completed, not only were my brows ruined, but it was nothing remotely close of what I asked, for. explained my concerns, frustrations and disappointment and my concern for my brows and the lady began to shape them again by threading them. I explained to her that did not want them thinner. I wanted the tinting corrected because the tenting just seems to be just placed on my brows without any type of shaping and arching. My right brow looks half way decent. The bridge seems to be decently formed, but the tint and the brows tail just seems to be super thin and short. The same thing can be said with my left, except my left brow was completely threaded super uneven and short. Even the bridge is completely uneven from the right. I showed them pictures of what my natural brows and my tinted brows looked like and the look I was trying to achieve with today's services. Instead of working with me, I was told that they've never had any complaints and I was the first one. I told him that I had a right to express my frustrations and asked what could be done. I was told by the other lady working that she would take over and try to fix my brows. I also showed her pictures of my brows without tinting and in their natural shape and with tinting with a little bit of brow filler on them. They apologized and said I could just pay $20 for just the tinting services, so I asked them if they could at least fix the tint on the brows to make both brows even and fuller, since I was now being offered a price discount. The women just continued to state that my brows were fine and there was nothing more they could do. Then things quickly turned when the ladies suddenly became rude and I was told to leave and to return to my original brow lady because they never had any complaints before and they wouldn't be charging me for the service at all. This is was definitely a terrible experience, decision and a mistake on my part for coming. read more

I needed too get my eyebrows shaped since my brows are starting to look like little caterpillars. Initially, I grew my brows out for a more natural look, but I soon realized they were losing shape without proper maintenance. This location happened to be closer to me than the one by The Meadows Mall. The shop is very clean and modern. There is pop music playing and keeps an upbeat vibe while you are getting threading done. Rupa was my threading artist for the day. She greeted me with a smile and proceeded to work on my eyebrows. She was efficient with the threading and there was minimal pain. I personally think threading is less painful than waxing and offers a cleaner end result. Rupa even took the time to get rid of the peach fuzz around the eyebrow area and trimmed accordingly for a good arch. She finished with some soothing rose water on the freshly groomed area and gave me a mirror for approval. I was pleasantly surprised at the work she did and would recommend her on the future. I went to Burwood store and the eyelashes started to fall off within 24 hrs and I was told would last up to 2 weeks (also lost some of my lashes in the process which you have to sign a waiver about.... but I haven't lost lashes ever before), henna eyebrows were patchy and she said it was because I had no hair there... I do have hair there... it's pale + Henna should stain skin... hence Henna tattoos!! Threading was good, but not exactly even. read more

I can't speak for other threading places, but I've always been coming to Diva and they never disappoint so I don't have a need to try somewhere else. The place is clean and modern atmosphere. They offer you free water and chocolate while you wait. Rupa is my person that I always go to, but based on the reviews it looks like you can choose anyone. Note: If you've never had your eyebrows threaded, I personally feel like it's 5x more painful than waxing, but BEAUTY IS PAIN right ?! Haha ... I prefer threading over waxing because it looks cleaner and I don't have to come back as often. The reason for not being a 5 star is after so many visits you get a free one. Before they had a punch card so it was easy to see how many more you needed, but now they take down your name and they "tell you how many visits you need left" and sometimes the number isn't accurate varying from person to person, so for the customer ... it's confusing. Also, they told me happy hour was from 10am-12pm, and you get a discounted price, I went and got a packaged deal of eyebrows and lips they said "oh it doesn't apply because that's already a discount." Umm ok what's the point of coming during "happy hour" if that's the regular price all day ? Once again, super confusing. In the end those are just additional perks to coming here, I'm just happy Ruba doesn't jack up my eyebrows so I'll keep tipping her well and coming back for service ! read more

I went in today to get my eyebrows done and the lady in there must've been having a bad day because she was so stone faced. I came in like I'd like to get my eyebrows done and she was like that's it? I said yes and she told me to sit down. I get this service done quite often and to be honest I go a little further out but this one is located in an area I frequent often so it's much more convenient so I thought I found my new eyebrow place. Anyways, her technique was rough as hell but I fought through and went to pay. At this time two men walked in (I assume to get service) and she looked at them like she did me (the best way I could explain it lol) no greeting or anything and then proceeds to walk me to the counter to pay. One of the guys smiles at her and nada just . She says 12.00 I hand her my card she snatched it, swiped it and tossed it on the counter. I asked was she the only one who works there she said YES. Needless to say, I took my receipt and tip and left. I don't under how people chose a career servicing the public and they have the audacity to be so rude. For nothing! Lol. Oh well. I walked in to get my eyebrows threaded. I normally go to Sweetie Eyebrow on Tropicana @ Eastern, but considering I was in the area, I decided to stop here. I specifically told her I'd been growing my eyebrows out for a year and I didn't want them thin when I tried to explain more she kinda hushed me and was like ya ya just clean up. I shouldn't have assumed she knew what I wanted. I am beyond devastated my brows look ok I guess( thin but an ok shape) but it is not what I wanted and it's a year of growing down the drain. I came here a while back to get my eyebrows done, and just never posted a review. I'm used to getting my brows waxed, but was looking for something cheaper than $20 a pop. When I got there, everyone was very polite, and my brows ended up looking ok. The process was not painful at all. My complaint is that they woman doing my brows would NOT do them the way I wanted them. I like mine a little shorter on the outside, and they absolutely would NOT take that part off for me. I love going to this place, it's just much more convenient for me than elsewhere. I used to go to Eye brows R us right next to the K-mart on eastern. They did a good job, but they were just too far out from my house. When you first walk into this place the ambiance is amazing. The way the place was well put together, decorative wise. It's not too crowded or spacey, well in my opinion any way. There are three main ladies that do your eyes, and usually I like to get the gal in the middle. It's a little pricier than eyebrows r us, by a buck or 2. But they do a heck of a good job. You can make appointments through their secretary, and I've never waited for more than an hour to get my brows done. It usually takes 15 mins. I don't have any preferences for a stylist because I think they are all great at what they do. There are other facial options other than just eyebrows for both men and women. Their pricing is really affordable. They recommend coming every two weeks, but if you continue to do the up keeping at home then you won't need to come in until once a month.
