Wonderful experience! I have a membership at home but good or bad LV is also home. I was inside 4 weeks when I left and thought I was gonna wait but had some ClassPass credits I was gonna lose. I checked w my community and the less than 5 stars had nothing to do w the service or people they employed so I said leggo! On CP appts stop at 1:30 but I found a time that worked. Daniela was my tech and she was fabulous! Very knowledgeable and sweet. Speaking of sweet, the place is PANK! Not pink. PANK! And as a Barbie girl in a modern world I was here for it! Super clean tho. No one was in when I went. She said it was slower that day. Daniela told me that there were issues w the setup on ClassPass, the scheduling being one. They're working on it. Tip: if you're scheduling w ClassPass and don't see the time you need, pick one and call to get what you actually need. I'm prone to ingrowns so Daniela gave me their scrub to try. They have some good looking products I'd definitely be willing to try. I'll keep ya posted on the scrub. 5 stars for quick and efficient service, wonderful staff and super cute decor! read more

I have been seeing Zshay for over 6 months now. I made the switch from regular waxing to sugaring and during my initial appt, Zshay was EXTREMELY educational and answered all my questions about sugaring, even in the next appts she answered more questions I had which was appreciated. I absolutely love that she takes her time, is extremely thorough in her work, follows up with tweezing for stubborn hairs, and makes sure to remind me about after care, etc. I'm pregnant and the hair has been changing, along with my ability to lay flat & Zshay has been incredibly accommodating with positioning and taking more time since I'm more sensitive. Lexi listens well and does my brows perfectly every time; she pays close attention to detail for my soft, light, blonde hair. Sugaring is so much less painful than waxing, with great results. I got a Brazilian wax with Alexis and it was awesome great first experience getting sugared. It was $32.50 because I was a new customer. Use code FIRSTTIME50 at checkout online. The salon itself is inviting, beautiful, and very well kept. I used the restroom before my service and was pleasantly surprised that there were wipes there. I wiped up and after joining Alexis in her room, I was given another wipe. Can't be too clean for a beauty appointment :) She said sugaring lays the hair differently, which people say it the most uncomfortable part. But it compares to waxing about the same. After she applied the sugar I understood what she meant. Having my hairs tugged in the opposite direction was a bit unpleasant, but the removal process was similar to waxing. The whole process took maybe 15 min. Very easy. And they do have a subscription program. The lowest level of $55/month gives $65 worth of services. Something to consider since a regular sugar Brazilian is $65. Alexis put on a soothing peppermint oil mixed with some other essential oils I can't remember to calm my skin. Overall a fine experience. Grateful to have tried this for the first time with a knowledge and kind esthetician. read more

I am beyond impressed with Sugaring NYC. First of all, everything's pink. From the wallpapers, to the chairs, to the employees uniforms.... PINK. I love that. The service was amazing. It was my first time there and I had to sign consent forms, which I appreciated, because within those you are asked to disclose medications you may be taking, conditions you may have etc that could affect your services. Responsible. Love! I arrived about five minutes early and was attended immediately upon entering. When I was take back to the room I'd be getting serviced, Sarae asked if I was familiar with sugaring. I said no and she explained all about it. So helpful and informative, and also helped me compare sugaring with waxing. I've only ever waxed before, both strip wax and hard wax. I must say both experiences are about 7/10 and 5/10 on the pain scale, respectively. Sugaring was about a 3. Seriously. I now will never ever go back to wax! I was shocked and impressed with how comfortable this experience was. Waxing (Brazilian) is not really a comfy thing, but seriously, sugaring is where it's at. Sarae explained that the sugar mix application would be about the most uncomfortable I'd feel, since the mix is applied against the direction of the hair growth and pulled in the direction of the growth. So the initial application is what you feel, but then once they pull the pain is very minimal. Even what are usually the most painful areas were only mildly uncomfortable. Sarah also informed me that sugaring was less irritating than waxing, and produces less ingrown hairs due to the substance adhering only to dead skin cells and the hair, not your skin. The sugar substance is also NOT hot, unlike wax, so there's no heat shock to your bits. Overall this was such a pleasant experience, minimally painful, and I got extremely clean results. I am so happy I chose to come here. ALSO! They have 50% off for first time customers this month. If you're on the fence about sugaring, stop! Just do it. read more

It was my first time being Sugared!  I did a Brazilian and legs.  Brazilian was easy and quick. I've waxed and had laser hair removal the majority of my life so it was easy breezy.  The main difference is the aftermath!  It was baby butt smooth.  I'm still in awe.  Also, I had an 'air-strip' since my first laser many  moons ago and no one has been able to get rid of it. Mona knew exactly what she was doing. It's been several weeks and usually the hair grows back thick.  NOT THIS TIME!!!  I am beyond happy. My legs had a different reaction.  Not bad but it's a learning experience.  Mona discussed with me that my legs were super dry and this could cause a reaction.  She ain't lyin.  I'm horrible at moisturizing and my poor limbs hate me for it.  After the Sugaring, my legs became a bit itchy.  I had been laying out in the LV sun with sunscreen and oils.  They started to itch and I scratched and scratched.  It was not cute.  My own fault.  Oy vey.   Effff waxing for life. The vibe of the place when you come in is amazing. So nice and cozy and pink I had my very first sugaring experience at a different place but I moved and this is the closest one to me now and for my first appointment with them, it went so well. The esthetician did a great job in waxing my hoohaaa. My second session was free and withe a student and it hurt and it took a while and it wasn't the best job but the growth didnt show until a week which i figured was going to happen cause it seemed like a lot of the hairs weren't pulled from the roots. I would like to say that I am happy that the owner responded to this review, as she did not return any of the several calls that I made to her business. I am posting a copy of the terms and conditions that she sent to me because I do not see them posted here as her reply states. The terms do say that the monthly fee is non-refundable but it does not mention anything about cancelling the membership altogether. As I stated in my review, I was told that I could cancel at any point, and cancellations and refunds are two entirely different things. This place is mediocre. I got a lash lift and there wasn't a noticeable difference with my lashes. There is also still hair left when I get waxed depending on the person waxing. And apparently credits can't be used if a membership is cancelled. When a person goes to cancel a membership, someone should do some due diligence and check if the person has credits remaining. It's just the decent thing to do. Will not be recommending or returning. read more
