No sane person ever goes around saying they actually enjoy brazilian waxes, but most people wouldn't object to feeling silky and smooth! Living up to their namesake, that's exactly what your nether region will feel like after a wax at Smooth as Silk. Groupon brought me here. I've had the opportunity to try many waxing places because of it. Most estheticians I've gone to are usually independent and rent a space inside a salon building, but Smooth as Silk is actually a standalone waxing studio. And a beautifully decorated one at that -- reclaimed wood paneling and decor that made for a warm welcome. They even offer bottled water while waiting. A cleansing wipe is provided beforehand and a sheet drape for modesty after undressing. Tori did my wax. She was casual and friendly and turns out she's also the owner. So it goes without saying that I experienced a thorough wax. I'm bad at maintaining my brazilian schedule so it was as if it was my first time waxing, but it wasn't as painful as I anticipated. Thanks! I have a few favorite waxing places in town and this will definitely be added to the list. Worst experience ever do not recommend this place at all. I made a reservation and got here on time on figure out the aesthetician cannot see me due to a emergency. How hard is it to give me a fucking call and help move my reservation? Would have saved me a trip. She rescheduled me without even asking for my name. I moved all my meetings to get here on time and had a flat tire on the way. Do not recommend this place. How can she reschedule me without even knowing my name? How can you not even give me a courtesy call when you know people are going to drive to get here to make their reservation. This is the worst experience ever. Do not recommend this place at all. How can you run a salon like this and not even have the decency to call your customers to inform them of a reservation for a service that you cancel. Best waxing experience I've had! Kristen was absolutely amazing. I never let anyone wax my brows, but I was comfortable enough to add them on after she did such a great job on my underarms, nostrils, and lip. I wouldn't go anywhere else in town even though it's a 35-45 minute drive from where I'm staying. A++ UPDATE Nearly one year later and I still have nothing but good things to say! To say that this is the best waxing session I ever had is an understatement. First of all, my experience from scheduling to check in to check out was flawless. ALERT Recieved a call from front desk stating due to missed appointment they will apply a $25 fee to my account. My appointment was at 5:30. I spoken with the front desk clerk made her aware, I missed my appointment due to my doctor appointment. The stated they were unable to remove the fee even if I showed them documentation with prescription medications. I feel this business was insensitive to my sicknes. Why would they want a customer to come to an that is sick which can pass the flu virus to other clients. read more

If I could rate this business honestly, I'd say it doesn't even deserve a star ‍.. Not only is the location hidden, there are so many reasons as to why I would NEVER recommend this place even to my worst enemy. The lash tech Cheyenne spent about 3-4 hours doing my lashes, which resulted in glue being stuck to my eyelashes.. I was charged nearly $150 for lashes that fell off within a week which was annoying because I took decent care of them and knew the procedure as a lash tech myself. About two weeks later she posts the video of my lashes and makes a mockery out of me, then proceeds to block me once I've asked her to remove the video from social media. I was excited to support another lash tech, but the results were highly disappointing. Very unprofessional and immature.. Wouldn't recommend wasting your time or money! read more

Shout out Kristen. My co worker told me about her. I was very nervous going being that I've never done body waxing before. But hey it's a first time for everything right ? Well with that being said , it doesn't hurt as bad as you think. It's very tolerable. Kristen talks to you the entire time. I was in there laughing. She is very personable. You are in a safe place with her. Brazilian wax was very quick. Pain level for me was probably a 3 out of 10. But once again it's a quick process. This is my second time going. I meant to post this last month: I went to SAS today after my skin was in desperate need of cleaning, and I was in desperate need of relaxation. I called at about 10:15, and spoke to Theresa who was super accommodating and was able to get me in same day at the time that worked best for me!! I had an appointment for 1pm but ran late with my class which was across town and called at 11:30 to let them know id be 10-15 minutes late and apologized. Theresa made sure to reassure me that it was no problem and thanked me for giving her a heads up! So awesome. I showed up, and it was very easy to find (in the same parking lot as Ventanos in the building next door) and had no problem finding a spot up front. I walked in and was greeted by Maritza who offered me a water bottle, and asked me my skin goals. I automatically felt taken care of, and welcomed. Maritza did my facial and I am familiar with the product line that they use which I why I chose them, and Maritza was very knowledgeable of the product line and what she felt like was a good treatment plan for my skin. I will send referrals to them and continue to go back myself because they were clean, professional and I felt like the service was amazing for the price! read more
