The service was awesome! The food is wonderful if you don't care about calories or your heart's health! I may have overlooked it but I didn't see any healthy options on the menu and not a single vegan option so if you're in a group with someone vegetarian or vegan they will literally get a drink! The ice is just like Sonic ice so loved that! I got a chicken biscuit and it tasted great but left me with terrible indigestion which isn't pleasant! First and foremost, I have ALWAYS loved this place... and I still do, HOWEVER... today I ordered a Monte Cristo... (half) it only had ham on it not sure why it didn't have the other, and american cheese and swiss was missing too, the waffle was limp, (i ordered online and picked up promptly) no powdered sugar... the raspberry preserves were NOT raspberry at all, runny runny, and barely any in little container. The garlic fries were hot and tasted great, the dill ranch was pure water and not even enough to finish my fries with, it was so thin. Finally, my diet coke... its flat.. no fizz, just flat. The service was quick and very friendly. The inside of the building was really nice and clean which is wonderful to customers. The food was pretty decent nothing to fancy. The Nana Nutella was really sweet and the combo with the bananas was great . The hot hot was not hot at all pretty basic. My son has been a fan since they started their food truck. I've tasted his leftovers, but have never truly visited before today. So right now I'm kicking myself over lost time! Just absolutely amazing. I had the Rosceaux with Garlic Butter Waffle fries, and let me just say right out: TOO MUCH FOOD! Honestly, I ordered a whole when a half was first offered, but I convinced myself that I was hungry. Well, I was hungry, and then I wasn't. I am a chicken sandwich aficionado, and I've had everything from Chick-Fil-A to Popeye's, but ain't nothing coming close to The Rosceaux! It was fried perfectly, but the compliments of the hot honey and blue cheese coleslaw just put chicken on another plane! I wanted to eat all of my fries, but I had to save some for my wife. She's the fries expert (but not a chicken fan), and she agreed it was some of the best she's had. When I thought of waffle sandwiches, my mind ran away with ideas. None of which wear on the menu. Reason for 3 stars- The food: Garlic Waffle fries are good, but don't go well with ketchup and ours where sorts dry. The Monti Cristo was more like a ham sandwich on super crispy waffle, dusted in powdered sugar. The waffle was almost too hard. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. The Hot Hot Chicken Sandwich only tasted the pickle and the seasoning they used to make it Hot. Also the waffle was super crunchy. Was really messy as well. Can I say AMAZING?! I have heard great things about this place so I had to see for myself. Great customer service. The food came out very quickly. It was also fresh and hot. I was concerned that the waffle was going to be soggy but it was actually a crispy firm waffle sandwich. All the options were hard to choose from but I ordered the dirty bird which consisted of chicken with sausage gravy. A really delicious sandwich. I am dying to try more! Viva la waffle lived up to all my waffle sandwich joint place hype FOR SURE!! For one, this place has the cutest atmosphere, nice music, nice new parking lot, and a drive through (how awesome is that??). I went dine inside for the full experience and I am so glad I did. The inside looks so new and Kennedi was super helpful while I was trying to pick between "the great boudin sandwich" & "the hot hot sandwich". I went with the Hot Hot & it was delicious! At first it wasn't too hot, but it eventually turned HOT HOT lol. Make sure you get a drink with your order because you'll need it with this sandwich! I also was extremely surprised on how fast it was made. I ordered my food, turned around and found myself a seat, and 1 minute later she called my order. I'm a big time breakfast person, and when I found out McD's does NOT do breakfast all day anymore, I was furious!! I literally NEEDED a sausage egg and cheese biscuit and I was not going to stop until I found one. Delicious. Waffles are awesome (my fave is the Monte Cristo), chicken is perfect, sauces are great, service is fast and friendly. Sandwiches aren't overpriced for how filling they are. I hope they're here to stay and open a few more stores, especially closer to the Carencro area. We'll be back for more. read more

I was a huge fan of their food truck and was heartbroken when it shut down. I was SO excited to hear they were opening a brick-and-mortar restaurant and managed to get there the second week they were open. Just as good as I remember! I've been back several times since then; the restaurant is always spotless and the staff unfailingly friendly. I've had everything on the menu at least once and it's all delicious. I also really like their monthly specials and I hope they keep it up; it's fun to go to their Facebook page when a new month starts and see what they're offering for the next 30 days. read more

Well this one is to promote better food care. My wife and I have been the food truck faithful. We went to the brick and mortar last week for the first time. My wife's favorite has always been your "Figgy Piggy". Well this time the figgy piggy had its revenge. 7hrs of food poisoning gotten from poor management of critical ingredients. Procuitto, goat cheese, and arugula. These ingredients must maintain consistent monitoring in cool clean environments. It was not done this day. I am a chef of 40 yrs, weather it's fine dinning or fast food the same care must be taken. Time to review your stores handling of all items to keep from killing someone. read more

I was very excited to try this place and I was hoping it would live up to the hype, but I was disappointed. The waffle fries were soaked in oil and didn't go well with the ketchup. The figgy piggy was ok at best. It didn't really have any flavor and the waffle was very crispy and thin. We also tried the monte cristo and it wasn't anything special. Again, the waffle was thin, overcooked and crispy. I would think that waffle sandwiches would have bigger and a bit softer waffle. read more

The food was awesome!!!!!!! Between 4 of us we tried the pizza waffle sandwich, Buffalo chicken waffle sandwich, classic chicken waffle sandwich and the s'more waffle. It was all perfection! The service was absolutely wonderful! They were so nice and helpful and worked hard to double check everything to ensure it was correct. My favorite was the Buffalo sandwich! Happened across this place this evening while overnighting in Lafayette. Was recommended by our hotel desk staff who said we would not be disappointed. They were correct! We were super excited to try Viva La Waffle. The interior is clean, but that's really it. Clean and sparse decor, which would have been fine had the food been good. Unfortunately the food just completely underwhelmed. It came out quickly, but everything was cold from the fries to the chicken. Nothing was standout delicious.
