I love this place! The best deep dish pizza I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The sauce is amazing!!!!!

Been looking for a really good pizza for awhile. Sardella's is good, but I'm kinda sick of it. It's also a bit of a drive from where I live. I've been told by others around that i need to try Vito's Pizza. I gave it a try this evening and ordered the "Vito's Special" deep dish pie. Wow!! Really good and really filling. Toppings are inverted so when you're through the mushrooms and peppers you still have this cheesy, chewy crust to enjoy. I'll definitely be back. read more

I lived in this area for 15 years, never thought about this place, and my wife told me we should try it. we spent 85.00 on 2 deep dish pizzas and 50 wings. We wanted sausage and pepperoni, and received pepperoni and mushroom, my family was totally disgusted with the pizza, no one likes mushrooms and the crust was supper thick, my wife says " it was the worst pizza she ever tasted" and now I know why it took me 15 years to try this place,not again. read more

Vito's has great authentic Chicago style pizza (cut into squares!) and I have only ever had great experiences with the food and service. The delivery is certainly a bit longer than chain pizza places but the wait is worth it. read more

My family have been Very Regular customers at Vito`s in Glendale for a very long time . We have spent a great deal of money each time we have ordered from them, as we have a large family. Vito`s 'CLAIMS' to have a customer appreciation card where you buy 10 pizzas you will get the 11th. for free. This IS NOT the case! You MUST buy 10 separate pizzas with 10 separate orders to be able to get the 11th. For free. The problem here is that there is No disclaimer stating this. You are led to believe that all you have to do is purchase ten pizzas to get the 11th. Free! I am sorry folks but this is False advertising no matter which way you look at it. Upon writing this I also see that someone else has experienced the same problem ... It looks like he is also feeling as Misled as I am at this point... I personally will be getting my pizza`s elsewhere from now on. Vito`s has just lost a Good customer! And I will also be filing a complaint against them for False Advertising. Pretty disappointing experience! Crust was doughy and not cooked all the way through. We recently moved into the area and are trying all of our local pizza places in turn. Vito's gets the thumbs down, we will not order again. The hot wings are not a "buffalo" sauce; they must not be using Frank's red hot. They are a red sauce, but they do not have that tangy buffalo flavor...the hot wings are killer spicy, but somehow have no flavor. All spice, no interest. The thin crust pizza crust is a cracker-style crust; it has no flavor either, and it doesn't have that chewy bite that you want from pizza crust. Their tomato sauce also is flavorless. Overall very boring pizza experience; in a word, disappointing. Even the national chains do it better. They cut their pizza in little squares, not triangles. I like crust, so this is my least favorite way of cutting a pizza....if you get a middle piece it is soggy and crustless. So, bleh. I'm annoyed that I spent good money on this pizza. Crossing it off the list. To be fair, I didn't order the deep-dish that they are famous for (because I dislike deep-dish in general). Apparently I much prefer NY style pizza, not Chicago. And for the record, I am Italian-American. Sigh. I miss the pizza from my old hood (Aiello's). read more

Delicious! Not only are the deep dish pizzas great but the thin crust pizzas are also amazing.

Just ordered of off their menu on line. Everything totaled $45.40. they quoted me a price of $63.66. Then the woman on the phone denied that they have any menus on line. Then she gave me the owner who said their prices haven't changed in 3 years. And when I told him the prices I quoted were the prices he put on the internet....then he says....oh....these are old prices.....well.....almost a difference of $20.00 for the same order......I think not.......be very careful when ordering from this place....check the menu prices from what they are charging you......come on $20.00 difference is outrageous.... read more

Vito's used to be an excellent taste of Chicago style pizza, etc. After Vito retired a year or so ago, the pizza lost it's Chicago flavor. We gave it several chances to see if it would ever compare to the original, but it disappoints every time. I'm not going to order this pizza again when our Chicago relatives are visiting. read more

We have been coming to Vito's for several years - like everyone else, we can't get enough of their deep dish pizza! - and never have had any complaints. Today, we ordered a deep dish pie for pickup and did not check the box until we got home.. Only to find that it was a thin crust! We live within 10 minutes of the place and called to see if they had given us the wrong pizza accidentally. I thought we could simply go back and get the correct one, or they could bring it to us, since we live in delivery distance. The girl - who took the order, rang me out, and answered this phone call - simply gave a very insincere apology with no plan to offer to fix the problem; after a minute of impasse I asked in a very sarcastic manner if we should just keep the pizza.. To which she replied yes!! We did, and it was delicious, but that's just not good customer service! I am very sad to say that we will have to find a new favorite pizza place :( read more

this place was recommended to me by two older italian guys who have been around the block a few times. first, i've never had chicago deep dish style pizza. i've had plenty of sicilian pizza. i ordered the large deep dish with meat all over it. good quality pizza, alot of sauce, and lots of toppings. very flavorful. it's made just like how a deep dish is suppose to be, but i thought it would be taller / deeper. don't get me wrong, it's a very good pizza. i thought the thickness of the dough was very similar to sicilian, rather then a deep pie. maybe this is how it's suppose to be? anyway, the large was very filling. there's alot of sauce & toppings. very small place. order ahead of time because of the 45 minutes it takes to cook. you can order it to go, or order and have it ready when you arrive. they serve alcohol as well. others i know swear by this place. read more

This was great! Perfect crust, perfect sauce! we had it delivered (we were on the edge of their delivery zone) Order early, this one takes a while to cook. We had a medium all meat deep dish and man was it a heavy box! Three of us ate 1/2 the pizza. Was craving a Chicago deep dish pizza and this did not disappoint! read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would . I ordered 2 dozen wings and I never received it. Called twice said they would be here in 5 minutes both times. Fuck this place. I literally waited an hour and 45 minutes so 2 dozen wings when I was told 45 minutes. Never ordering or eating here again. Employees are such liars and a waste of my time. read more

Great pizza. Bit pricey and the quality has diminished somewhat since Vito left but its still the best on the west side for sure.

I had a lot of hope for this place. The pizza is probably great but i didn't get to try it. Sat down ordered chick strips and a large 3 topping deep dish pizza. 30 minutes later the waitress brings a thin crust. i told her i ordered a deep dish and she said oh I forgot to put pan on the ticket. She then says well its gonna be 40 more minutes to get your correct order do you just want this one. I told her no I want what I ordered. she walk to the back and we could hear her say someone was going to kick her butt(probably the owner). Thats why she wanted to stick me with that pizza. Nobody made any attempt to make this right for us. I told the cashier we were leaving and to charge us for the chix. read more

The pizza crust on the thin style was a pre-fabricated disc like a large cracker. For this reason alone, Vito's is not recommended. Considering the price, manufactured pizza dough is not excusable. The sauce was also very thin and bland. read more

Sanford R - I too am from Chicago, as is Vito's!!!!!! They used to be across the street from Riverview! Vito and Rosa, original owners, are retires now for a few years, but they sold their recipes with the business! The pizza is EXCELLENT Chicago pizza!!!!! What makes it Chicago for me is the toppings are UNDER the cheese - as it should be - so they don;t fall off when you pick up a piece, and it is cut into squares, not triangles!!!!!!!!! I have been eating this pizza for abut 30 years - everybody I know who ever tried it LOVES it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As for the neighborhood - there is also a child care center right there in the strip mall, and it USED to be a great neighborhood, until the element that is there now moved in - we left 35th Ave & Northern for the same reason, changing - for the worse - schools going bi-lingual - now its like northern Mexico. I hope Vito's stays in business forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If they moved over here to Peoria I would be so happy nd would eat there even more often!!!!!!!! read more
